Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation

Today I'll be reviewing the newest foundation from Rimmel London; the "Wake Me Up Foundation" which boasts an "anti-fatigue effect plus radiant glow."
I figured this would be the perfect foundation for me as I work night shift and so I'm just always tired! Let's see if it really has the anti-fatigue look!

Firstly, the smell is amazing. I'm usually waiting for that real make-up smell, but with this, I was pleasantly surprised. Either that or I'm beginning to like the make-up smell! Some may not like it, but I enjoy the smell every time I use this!

The texture of this is extremely thick, which means a little goes a long way, which is always a statement I love to write! I feel like this pump bottle is going to last me a long time, which really helps, even though this wasn't very inexpensive at only $19.95. I've spent more on foundations that were pretty similar. (I also really love that it's a pump bottle and not just an open bottle that they expect it to just plop out everywhere!)

So after using it, I love it. This is probably going to be my day to day foundation from now on! It also goes hand in hand with the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, which at the moment, Priceline is offering for free with a purchase of the Wake Me Up Foundation. Either that or a concealer, which I chose instead, as I'm already so in love with the Stay Matte Pressed Powder I already have two lots of them!

I wouldn't say it took away my fatigue, though, I think the eye make-up still has a big part to play with that. But it did make my skin look a lot fresher and more "radiant" as they claim. It was very moisturising so my skin doesn't feel dry at all after taking it off.

I've already converted my sister and now she loves this foundation too, she did a lovely review on it here (please check it out, she's new to blogging and she's pretty good!)

This picture may not do it justice but I promise you, I did look radiant!

So have you tried Wake Me Up yet, or do you have another favourite that you should share with me so I can run out and buy it!

  2. Every one seems to be loving this foundation. Is it odd that because the orange is so vivid I keep expecting it should smell like oranges? Haha! I would love to try it but I'm going to stick to my matte foundation for now! xo

    1. Haha I was a bit turned off by the orange because I was scared it would make me LOOK orange, so that's not odd at all :D

  3. Okay, so I know I am...a year behind the times, but I just bought this foundation and it is so nice to see that you have given it a positive review! I have been using it regularly and I love it, although the sparkles can be a bit much for an everyday basis.

I agree, the sparkles are a little much which is why I don't use it as my every day foundation now, but it's nice for a night out or something special!
