Too Faced Liquif-Eye Palette

A few days ago I received the Too Faced Liquif-Eye Shadow Palette in the post, which I purchased from StrawberryNET!

I'll be honest: when I first decided to buy this, it was purely because I thought it was simply an eye shadow palette with a liquid eyeliner. How wrong I was! After opening the package I soon realised what it really was.

This innovative and very unique idea for make-up had me rereading it again and again to make sure I was understanding exactly what this was.

This was liquid eyeliner that turned any eye-shadow into liquid eyeliner. I know, strange, right?

So the set comes with this adorable bottle which I assumed was just the standard black liquid eyeliner, but in fact is actually a clear liquid. The idea is that you dip the tip of the brush into any colour eye shadow you want, and it transforms it into liquid eyeliner! Needless to say, I was dying to try it!

The palette that came with it comes with 12 different colours that appeared in other palettes and some that are exclusive to this palette. I absolutely love the last middle colour, "Fantasy Island" as it's a gorgeous summery colour to wear! As always, the colours alone are highly pigmented and rich, not falling short of Too Faces excellent reputation.

To keep things simple, I tested this with the black colour. As you can see, works pretty well. The only problem I have with it, is that it does stain the little brush, and although there is a note on the back of the packaging saying not to worry about the stains, I did find that the next time I used it, a little of the previously used colour did come away with it. It says to clean the brush every time after use, which I did, but still seemed to happen. Hmm.

Back of the product.
As always, Too Faced explains their product in a cute and fun way, and it truly is a great little set. It's certainly something different, although this day and age it's pretty easy to find different coloured eyeliners. But it's great if you had a colour eye shadow you've always wished to make into an eyeliner (it does have better staying power than simply applying eye
shadow, I will admit) then it's perfect for you.

I just wanted to share this cute note at the bottom of the packaging. "Tested on celebrities, not animals." I found that really cute!

Overall, I really liked this palette. To be perfectly honest, I believe I'll use the eye shadows as just that, eye shadows and won't be using it as coloured eyeliner, as it's not something I would usually wear. As I said before it's a really unique and cute idea, and it would make a lovely gift I think for the girl who loves colour.

My only other problem with the idea is that it's basically wetting your makeup,  which makes it last less longer, as we all know, so it's not something I'll be using on my favourite colours!

I think it'll be great for every now and then use, something I'll use if I want to create a really different look with lots of colour! I do plan on doing a FOTD with it soon enough so you guys can see how it transforms onto the eyes. So my final decision? I like it, but it's not something I am overly excited about.

Have you tried this palette before, or any similar products?
