NOTD BYS Ruby Slippers

This is a little belated, but this is my NOTD as of a few days ago! I picked up Ruby Slippers Mirror Polish by BYS for only $2.00 at my local K-Mart! What a bargain!

I absolutely love the colour, and I got so many compliments when I wore it! Like the other mirror polish by BYS that I reviewed a while back (here) it has amazingly long last staying power! Last time I tried it in silver, (at the time I thought it was the only mirror polish released by BYS) and it stayed on so long, and never chipped!
Ruby Slippers was a little bit different! It did have excellent staying power, but it did eventually succumb to the usual nail polish problems - eventual chipping and wearing on the ends.

The photos don't do the colour justice, because in real life the colour is just amazing! As I said previously I had so many people compliment me, and it went really well with my pale skin!

As the ends began to wear and chip slightly, I thought I'd spice things up by adding my OPI Black Shatter to my tips! As you can see I messed that nail up a little and tried to fill in the gap with a black nail art pen. It did look good in real life when it was not so close up! I had many more compliments when I was wearing it like that, and even my boyfriend complimented me! (To put things into perspective, we've been dating for well over 3 years and he's never noticed my nails before this!)

A few people told me that from not so close, the Shatter almost looked like lace tips on my nails!

As always, BYS has continued to exceed my expectations! I'm very happy with my beautiful $2.00 Ruby Slippers Mirror polish and will definitely be wearing this one again and again!

So, what do you think of my nails? (Aside from my nail art mistake!) Do you have a perfect nail polish you wear over and over because it's so good?
