Witch Blemish Stick

I have found a miracle worker! When I first received the Witch Blemish Stick in  Free Priceline Skin Care Bag, I didn't think much of it. Actually, I barely noticed it. Until a few days ago when a rather nasty pimple popped up on my nose and it was extremely painful! I was looking for absolutely anything that would cure it! So I decided it was time to give the Witch Blemish Stick a try...

What it says:

"Helps to break down excess oils and fights the bacteria that cause spots... Great for all skin types but especially oily/combination skin."

I love that this was designed especially for oily/combination skin, which means ideally it won't dry out the skin and leave it flaky.

Upon opening the stick, I did not expect it to be blue as well! It transfers to the skin clear, however, which is great - as I don't want blue all over my face!

What I say:

This worked excellently! When I rubbed it onto the pimple, I could feel it sting a little. I love it when skin care feels like it's actually doing something, so it felt good knowing it was getting in there and killing all that nasty bacteria!

Overnight the giant pimple on my nose went away, so I was really pleased with the outcome. To make sure it wasn't a fluke, I've used it on a few other pimples that have appeared on my face, and body, and have had similar luck!

An example for you:

The beginnings of a pimple, smack bam in the middle of my chest. It looked disgusting and really red.

The next morning. As you can see it's basically disappeared, with only a slight red mark.

I've also had huge success using it on my face for another issue. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever experienced something like this (although I'm sure in the big, wide world of beauty, somebody has!), but I have a problem on my face. I have, what I like to call, a permanent blackhead.

It looks really disgusting, and no matter how much I squeeze it, (and how much black stuff comes out) it never seems to disappear. When I'm done squeezing, it just gets big and red, so I've stopped trying. I applied the Witch Blemish Stick on it, and have been using it day and night for about a week, and the permanent blackhead has almost disappeared!

I've been fighting this blackhead for years, so it's such a pleasant surprise that such a simple product could make it almost go away!

So I have huge confidence in this brand now! I'll definitely be buying this again and again!

Fountain Skin Care

I was lucky enough to be sent a few samples from an Australian company called Fountain, which specialise in skincare! I've spent the last few weeks slowly testing out the skin care separately, so I could be sure of their immediate individual results! Now that I'm done, it's time to share the results!

The cute little welcome pack I received.

In total I got six different samples;

Think C Serum

What They say:

"Think C Serum
helps to restore skin hydration and elasticity, assists in fading age spots, repairs dry and damaged skin and should be used as a safe-guard against the damaging e ffects of environmental free radicals such as sun exposure, air pollution, smoke and pesticides."

What I say:
I think the Think C Serum was my favourite out of all the samples I tried out! It smelt delightfully like orange (so if you hate oranges, like my boyfriend, I would suggest you not try this!) and was very lightweight on the skin! Long term I can see this really helping out with oiliness and keeping the pores clear, but short term, it was a lovely sweet treat for my skin!

You can buy a 30ml bottle for $58 from here.

Skin Exfoliant

What they say:

"A non-abbrasive, leave-on exfoliant designed to give the skin a fresh, healthy look, while it evens the texture, tone and colour. Skin Exfoliant contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids - both Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid - which work on removing and preventing the build-up of dead skin cells minimising fi ne lines, discolouration and dry spots."

What I say:

This was my second favourite! When I use a skin exfoliant, I want to feel it working - and I definitely felt this one. I find with a good skin exfoliant, you get the almost burning sensation on your skin. There is no pain, but you can feel it tingling away all the dirt and grime! This skin exfoliant gave me that sensation, and the moment I washed it off, my skin felt amazing! It felt refreshed and beyond clean, this is something I would definitely buy as a full size product.

You can buy a 75ml tube for $38 here.

Cleansing Balm

What they say:
"A soothing, refreshing balm that thoroughly cleanses your skin, leaving it with a smoother, softer and revitalised texture. Featuring a mix of healing anti-inflammatories, protective anti-oxidants and rejuvenating Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Cleansing Balm removes impurities and treats your skin without stripping away natural protective oils."

What I say:

This one definitely does exactly what it says it does! My skin felt a great deal smoother after using the cleansing balm, and it left my skin feeling really refreshed. I think with long term use this would probably help my rosacea.

You can buy a 250ml bottle for $38 here.

Total Moisture

What they say:

"Total Moisture forms a protective moisture-absorbing barrier, minimising Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL), having a skin plumping and firming effect. Squalane (a moisturising anti-oxidant) helps reduce the damage caused by UV exposure, strengthening Milk Peptides boost collagen production and revolutionary Snake Venom reduces the muscle movement that cause facial lines."

What I say:

This one sounds pretty awesome, especially when it states it uses Snake Venom! However this one actually made me break out. Although this is no fault of the actual product, as I have oily/combination skin and this is specifically for dry skin - I did not realise this until after I used it. The fact that it created more natural oil in my skin however is a plus, as that's exactly what it's supposed to do - only on dry skin, it wouldn't cause break outs! Definitely recommend for people with dry skin!

You can buy a 50ml tube for $55 here.

Actual Moisture

What they say:

"Light protective moisture for skin prone to producing oil. Hydrate, refine and regenerate with an intelligent blend of anti-oxidants, vitamins, botanical extracts and natural Alpha Hydroxy Acid’s with ingredients including Grape Stem Cells, Peptides, Argan Oil and botanical astringents. Actual Moisture improves smoothness of the skin and refines the appearance while reducing greasiness."

What I say:

This one was a lot better than the Total Moisture! This one didn't make me break out at all, probably because this one is actually formulated for normal to oily skin types. It was definitely a light moisturiser and not too heavy, which is something I definitely look for in a moisturiser! Anything too heavy will clog oily pores and make me break out. I think with long term use this would help the oiliness, because on the few times I did get to use it, I did notice less oil build up in my t-zone and other notoriously oily areas!

You can buy a 50ml tube for $45 here.

Think B Serum

What they say:

"A nourishing light-weight serum formulated to give your skin a plumper, firmer texture and a brighter, lighter appearance. Containing Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Think B Serum reduces skin water loss, allowing for increased hydration, elasticity and firmness."

What I say:

With this one, I felt the "tightness" they're talking about! It wasn't a horrible feeling, but I could certainly feel the serum doing it's job! This would probably be a fantastic product to use long term, but unfortunately it was only a few times for me! But as I've said before, I really like to have a product that feels like it's doing something, and this was definitely one of them!

You can buy a 30ml bottle for $58 here.

So overall; what did I think?

I really liked them! It was a shame that they were only sachets, because I think a lot of the products had fabulous potential to really show me some results! But I'm happy I did get a chance to try out these samples as a few of these items can be rather pricey! I think I'll definitely be picking up a few of them, as I'm excited to see some long term results!

I would recommend these, however when choosing skin-care, just be careful in what skin type it's best suited for!

You can buy any of these products, and more, from their website! So make sure you check them out!

Pacifica Waikiki Pikake Roll-On Perfume

I showed you the Pacifica Solid Perfume, now I want to talk about the beautiful Pacifica Waikiki Pikake Roll-On Perfume!

Before I talk about the perfume itself, I want to show you some absolutely gorgeous pictures of the packaging! I would absolutely buy this product based on the packaging alone! That's how much I love it!

How gorgeous is that? I absolutely love the beautiful peacock look, and the bottle itself looks so professional yet simple, while the box it comes in is more embellished and eye-catching!

How could you not love that packaging?

Now on to the actual product itself!

"A blend of delicate, sweet Hawaiian Jasmine and sensuous, velvety Sandlewood."

Let me tell you that's exactly how it smells! The scent is incredibly unique and I've never smelt a perfume like it. It is extremely sensual and unique! When I first took a whiff, I found it a bit strange. The second time, I wanted to smell it a bit more. The third time, I was hooked. It's definitely a scent that grows with your intrigue, and keeps you wanting more!

Like you can see above, this perfume is free from all the nasty "p words" and is 100% vegan! A definite winner!

Also not shown, the box indicates the proceeds to go helping a fund aiming to keep water clean and drinkable. I absolutely love that, as it's such a simple thing that we all should have access to, yet for some of us, it's not.

I also love that this is a roll-on perfume. I can't even remember the last time I used roll-on anything, so it's definitely a nice change! Much like the solid perfume, it's incredibly easy to carry around with you and apply discreetly - no spraying all over the place! It's a no mess, easy approach to applying your scent, and it's small enough to fit in your handbag!

I would use this one for a night out rather than a daily scent, as it's so unique and capturing! It definitely gives off the sexy vibe, so perfect for date night!

So with all of that in mind, the gorgeous packaging, the sensual smell, the earth-friendly promises, you can enjoy this beautiful perfume guilt free - knowing that your proceeds are helping people, not hurting animals!

Overall, I'm in love with this perfume! Everything about it is just amazing, and I can't rave about it enough. I'm so happy I've been given the chance to try it out, as I'll definitely be buying many more!

You can find stockists for Pacifica at Everyday Luxuries or directly online from Scentiments for only $17.95! What a bargain!

July Lust Have It!

So I finally received my July Lust Have It today! I was a bit peeved as usually this package is safe dropped by my post-man if I don't answer the door, however since making a complaint against him, he didn't safe drop! Not sure if it was a coincidence, or if he's out to make my life miserable, but either way, at least I finally got it!

I always seem to be in the last lot of people receiving their bags, which is extremely annoying for me as I absolutely love surprises and I don't want to have to boycott other people's blogs!

That aside, it's orange! I adore the colour. The Lust Have It team have described this as tangerine, but it's almost bordering neon! I'm always looking forward to getting Lust Have It just to see what colour is coming next!

This month's theme is "Fun and Flirty" although judging by what we got, I wouldn't exactly say that. The things included were more "Winter Essentials" maybe? Either way, let's have a look at what I got...

All the goodies together...

I saw there were two separate bags, and to be perfectly honest, I had my eye on this one, so I was very pleased that I got it! I just find that I'll get much more use out of this bag!

Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Lotion in Orange Blossom

I'm always happy to get Pure Fiji products, however I don't know how much use this will get as my house is overloaded with hand and body creams at the moment! I even have a few at work that I need to use! Who knows though, I may try it and fall in love! It does smell divine!

Eau Thermale Avene Gentle Purifying Scrub

This is so tiny! I'm sure I'll only get the one use out of it, but that's okay - it's called a sample box for a reason! I'll give it a go and if I like it, I'll buy the full product! It'll be great for overnight travels!

Eau Thermale Avene Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

This looks very promising! It's actually a pretty great size for make-up remover so it'll be great to have in my overnight bag! I'm used to a really liquid-like remover whereas this one is very gel-like, so I'll be pleased to try this out!

Matrix Biolage Soothing Shampoo

I already use another Matrix Biolage shampoo & conditioner combination and have been looking in every salon for these small sizes for travelling! Now I have one! I'm so excited!

Matrix Biolage Smoothing Conditioner

As I said above I already use this brand so I'm very pleased! I've heard most people wonder why there is less conditioner than shampoo, but for me it works fine as I use only the tiniest amount of conditioner!

Tigi Bed Head Shine Junkie Lipgloss in Bronze

Ahh the dreaded lipgloss! I've heard so many complaints about this lipgloss, and in all honesty I could not wait to see what all the fuss was about! To be fair yes, it looks pretty disgusting in the bottle! But looks are deceiving! I decided to take a couple of snaps on what the lipgloss actually looks like, for those of you who haven't tried it yet, to let you know it's not all bad!

The description also states it has a peppermint scent, which some people have said they can't smell. I smelt it, I actually found it rather strong, so girls if you aren't smelling it and the product is clumpy and gross (some complaints I've heard) you may be dealing with an off lipstick!

Anyway, on to the pictures...

Artificial Light

Natural Light

So as you can see, not all bad! It actually goes rather well with my skin tone, I feel, so I'm pretty happy to get this! I really liked the consistency of the gloss and it wasn't sticky at all - plus most of it even remained after I ate!

So overall, what did I think of this month's Lust Have It? I'm actually thrilled! My boyfriend and I are going away for two nights for his birthday, so some of this stuff will really come in handy! (I'm looking at you, Matrix Biolage!)
For a sample box, I think they're doing a fine job! (Aside from not sending them all out at once - PLEASE Lust Have It I want to be one of the first, not the last! I swear it's affecting my blog stats haha!)

So what did you all think of this month's Lust Have It? Love it or hate it?

Pacifica Malibu Lemon Blossom Solid Perfume

I absolutely love perfume, and I have far too much of those pretty glass bottles in all the fancy styles! You may not believe me here but I've actually never ventured into the solid perfumes before! I've seen a few in Lush before, but never really understood them or bothered with them until now!

I've been using the Pacifica Malibu Lemon Blossom Solid Perfume for about a week now, and I am absolutely loving it!

Firstly, look at this packaging. It's so sunny and bright and happy, very appealing!

The sweet quote on the side of the box.

The front of the tin.

The back of the tin.

So obviously, the perfume comes in a tin! I was very intrigued!
When I opened it, I could instantly smell the sweet lemon scent, yet it was not at all overbearing. You know how some perfumes are overbearing the moment you open the lid? This is not like that! The scent is really subtle!

I actually agree that it's "the scent of summer at the beach" as it really reminds me of the lemon that usually comes in your fish and chips - although a lot sweeter!

The actual product itself is a soft lemon colour, and is very waxy but does not linger on the skin. It absorbs really quickly so there's no nasty residue left behind. I haven't used solid perfume before so I'm not sure if that is a common problem or not.

The scent itself stays for a good amount of time, and is not at all overpowering to wear. It's also so small that I can throw it in my handbag (even a clutch, it's so compact) and know that I'll never be without a lovely scent again. Quite often I forget to put on perfume before going to work (I know, gross) so this is perfect! It's definitely a safe for work scent, that is in my handbag ready to go!

Already I can see this is going to last me forever, as I've been using it all week long and have barely used anything!

Another plus that of course, with Pacifica, it's vegan friendly and natural, definitely something I look for in my cosmetics! Plus, it's extremely cost effective at only $12.95 for that whole tin! Definitely worth the dollars!

Overall I think I'd buy this again for something to throw in the handbag or take on holidays, since it's much safer than throwing a glass bottle of perfume in my travel bag! The smell is delightful, I can't wait to try other scents!

This product was kindly provided for my consideration. :)

Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia Body Butter

I have had a very hectic weekend! Lots of running around and going places! By the end of the weekend my skin was so dry and exhausted, I thought it the perfect time to test out the Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia Body Butter!

Can I just say... yum!

"A heady, vintage-inspired blend of intoxicating gardenia, jasmine, orange flowers, tea leaves and ylang ylang."

Come on, that sounds amazing, doesn't it? Well that's exactly how it smells! The smell is highly intoxicating but very smooth, and I find myself using it just for the smell! I'm definitely planning on buying the perfume from this particular range, as it's very exotic and sensual!

It looks like you could just eat it, doesn't it!

All scents aside, the cream itself is very luxurious! It's made with shea butter, almond oil and safflower oil - how much more moisturising can you get than that? It's also completely free of parabens and other nasties.

The butter itself really moisturises perfectly! I can be rather fussy when it comes to body moisturisers and butters, so I was a little hesitant at first that this may not check all my boxes! But it certainly has!

Blends into the skin easily. Check.
No greasy residue. Check.
Actually keeps my skin moisturised - no quick returning dryness. Check.
Natural scents, no artificial scents. Check.
Actually moisturises. Check.

So as you can see, checks all the important boxes! It is absolutely beautiful on my skin, doesn't dry me out at all or leave me feeling greasy or wet, like some moisturisers do! And the scent drives me wild! I'm in love with it!

The quality of the product is just amazing, and the packaging is just gorgeous! You can see that a lot of effort has been put into this brand to really make their goods look and feel appealing! Just using this makes me feel really classy and special, as if I'm using a $50 tube of body butter - whereas it only retails for $27.95 from Scentiments! Score!

I'll definitely be buying more of these babies, and more of the Pacifica range!
It's beautiful, luxurious skincare - and makes you feel luxurious just by using them!

For stockists check Everyday Luxuries!

Have you tried anything from Pacifica yet?

This product was kindly provided for my consideration. :)

Christmas in July Global Blog Swap Goodies!

Remember my post about the Christmas In July Global Blog Swap? Well, if you don't, I'm reminding you! I was paired with the very gorgeous Jenny, who runs a very lovely nail blog (well, mostly nails!) over at Beauty By Jenny! Make sure you check her out, she has the most beautiful nails!

Today I received her package, and like all Blog Swaps, I was left amazed and feeling as though my stuff absolutely sucked! So, let's take a look at what she got me!

All the goodies together! She packed them neatly in a Glossybox box, what a great idea! Also kept my goodies safe! When I first opened the box, all I could smell was nail polish, which concerned me as I thought that maybe one had broken in transit. But luckily, everything was safe and sound!

I also took a picture of the cute little card she gave me, but somehow my camera deleted it? Hmm.. naughty camera!

Let's take a closer look at what she included from her lovely homeland Sweden!

IsaDora Chrome Lip Polish

Wow what a gorgeous colour! I honestly cannot wait to try this! I'm in love with everything pink, and this is definitely my style!

IsaDora Moisturising Lip Gloss

Wow another amazing colour! She picked very well! My problem is I absolutely love these kinds of deep colours, but never pick them for myself. So I'm so happy she included this, as it looks just amazing!

IsaDora Mascara Flirty Curl

More mascara! I'm not complaining though, I think I have enough mascara to last me a lifetime! Although I'm really looking forward to trying this one out! It has such a fancy bottle!

Depend Nail Kit

I just made that name up! This is a really cute little kit that has nail polish remover, toe separators in the shape of a foot (how cute!), an emery board and a cuticle stick! This is definitely a great travel friendly pedicure kit that I'll definitely be using!

IsaDora Perfect Nail Polish
I literally gasped when I opened this gorgeous nail polish! The colour is just amazing and the photo does not do it justice at all! I seriously cannot wait to swatch this, it's an incredibly deep blue, which is almost black, which looks as though it'll have great colour pay off!

IsaDora Perfect Nail Polish

Sorry about that bad quality photo, but wow, another perfect nail polish! This one is deep green, and is just as amazing as the previous one! I'm loving the colours she chose!

Kicks Make-Up Nail Polish in Royal Blue

What an adorable colour! I love how bright the blue is, definitely something I would wear!

Depend Nail Polish Miniatures x4

How cute are those colours!? I am in love with all of them! I especially love that yellow polish, what a unique colour!

IsaDora Perfect Eye Shadow in Bright Green

Another gorgeous unique colour that I would probably never pick for myself! I can't wait to try this, it looks fabulous! It also comes with a cute little applicator brush!

IsaDora Tripe Eye Shadow in Fuchsia

I am in love with this one! I love pinky purple colours, so this is perfect for me! Especially loving the last colour!

So there you have it, all the gorgeous goodies that my lovely friend Jenny sent to me! I love absolutely everything she got me, but most of all I think I was relieved it got to me safe and sound! At the beginning I was a bit worried that maybe she would not send it to me or something, but luckily most of us beauty bloggers are as honest and friendly as Jenny!

It's definitely got me excited for blog swapping, and I'd love to partake in another swap in a few months, hopefully this time with someone in the UK or the US - as I have my eye on a few things!

So again, a giant thank you to the lovely Jenny for sending me such lovely goodies, and a giant thank you to the lovely Mystique from Beast & Beauty for organising this wonderful swap! Go and check out her page and give her some love!
