NOTD: OPI Sparrow Me The Drama & Sally Hansen Razzle Dazzler

I have been neglecting my nails of late, and so tonight I thought I would give them a little bit of a make-over! Being the very girly girl that I am, I opted for the brightest, cutest, easiest manicure I could think of!

So of course, the moment I laid eyes on OPI's Sparrow Me The Drama, I knew it was the absolute perfect pink to match up with Sally Hansen's Gem Crush Polish in Razzle Dazzler!

Honestly, don't they just look adorable together?

Left: OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection - Sparrow Me The Drama
Right: Sally Hansen Gem Crush Collection - Razzle Dazzler

I use Sally Hansen Nail Growth as my base coat and Seche Vite Dry Fast as my top coat.

So what do you think of my very princess-like manicure?

Christmas in July Blog Swap Goodies

Yes, you read the title correctly, this is my long awaited post for all the goodies I received from the Christmas in July Blog Swap, hosted by the lovely Samantha Smith! I was lucky to get paired with a blogger I already know and love - The Made Up Maiden! We discovered that we both live in Melbourne, so instead of wasting money and sending our packages, we thought we would just meet up!

So, because of our busy schedules, our Christmas in July turned into Christmas in August, and we finally got together last Friday and exchanged gifts!

I bet you're all just dying to find out what's inside that luxe box!

Gasp! It's every blogger's nightmare! She got me so much more than I got her! I had a lot of problems buying for her actually! We are both in Australia, so it was hard to tell what she may or may not have already!

B Collection by Bloom Eye Shadow Duo in Waikiki

I'm absolutely loving the neutral colours in this duo, and they are definitely colours I would choose for myself!

OPI Nail Lacquer in Pirouette My Whistle

I am in love with this! This was part of my wishlist back in April, and so she's obviously been stalking reading my blog! I can't wait to create a manicure with this! Except an NOTD soon!

Beauty Cycle Mascara

I've actually never heard of this brand before! I have far too many mascaras open at the moment so sadly I'll have to wait a few months before trying this! At least I'll have a few backups waiting!

Models Prefer Infinite Colour Shadow Pencil in Oh Fudge!

This is my new favourite! She knew I really wanted to give these a go after a suggestion from her, so I was so happy she included one! The colour is also super versatile, I wore it out during the day for a simple look and then added a few extra shades over it for a more bold look for a night out!

Shu Uemura Skin Purifier

I have heard so much about this, and so I am absolutely thrilled! It's a very generous sample size!

Terax Hair Care Luxury Trial Pack

As you probably all already know, I love hair care samples, and this is packed with them! I can't wait to use them all up and see how they go!

Gardener's Hand Healer

This one looks very interesting! I'm not 100% sure on what it is or what it does, but anything for my hands is always a plus for me!

Comvita Olive White Brightening samples

I have a few other samples from this brand also that I never used up, so now I have double! So when I do try these, I'll get a much better result!

Gatineau Melatogenine Force Collagene

It's never too early to start protecting myself from wrinkles! This one looks super fancy, and although I've never heard of this particular product, I know Gatineau is an amazing brand so I'm super excited to try this!

Bloom Organics Gentle Hand and Body Wash
This is a great sample size, and I want to leave this at my work so I have a lovely hand wash to use instead of the disgusting one in my work bathroom! I'm very fussy with what goes on my hands, and I love the smell of this!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blush Chrome

I will forever love Revlon lipsticks, so I was very happy with this! I love the colour as it's definitely something I would wear, but probably not something I would have picked out for myself! (I have a problem with lipsticks - I only ever go for the light pink or coral colours!) I can't wait to wear this one out!

So as you can see, I got very spoilt! I love doing blog swaps, even with somebody in the same country, as it's such a great way to meet new friends and try new products! I love interacting with other bloggers who have similar interests so this was a fabulous experience!

So a giant thank you to Samantha Smith who organised this, and of course The Made Up Maiden for giving me all these gorgeous goodies! Make sure you check out both of their blogs to check out what they got for their swaps, too!

Bioré Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser

Even though in Australia, we're coming to an end of winter, the mornings and evenings are still terribly cold! Hopping into a shower can be a really horrible experience, at least until you get comfortable, in which then hopping out of the shower can be ten times worse!

When considering my latest cleanser, I was inevitably drawn to the Bioré Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser

I actually already had a tube of this waiting in my bathroom to use, however when I was sent the pretty new packaging, I couldn't resist trialling this one first!

 What they say:
"Bioré Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser, with scrubbing micro-beads, warms to open pores and helps stop blackheads before they start, by cleansing impurities that can lead to blackheads so you're left with clean skin. Is it getting hot in here?"

What I say:

This is probably my favourite cleanser to use during winter! Providing your hands aren't wet (which mine usually are because I can't be bothered not wetting them first) your face will get the full force of the warming effect! Basically this cleanser warms up the second it makes contact with water. For me, this usually happens on my hands, so I will very, very quickly slap it on my face so I can feel the very pleasant warm sensation on my cheeks! It is ridiculously delightful!

As for the actual results, I've found this one to be incredibly good at keeping the blackheads at bay! I have terrible luck with blackheads, and always seem to get them in the most painful places on the face - my lip line, my jaw line, right beside and under my eyes, sometimes even on my eyelids! It's not a pretty sight! I'm glad enough not to get them all over my chin and nose, but it's just as horrible getting them in odd places! I've noticed with daily use of this cleanser, they have significantly reduced! I haven't actually seen a blackhead around my eyes at all since I've used this!

Since the revamp of the Bioré range, they have changed their colour scheme. This particular cleanser used to be green, as I checked my unopened tube, but they have since switched it to a pretty blue colour! I don't mind either to be perfectly honest (I do plan on reviewing the other tube of this product, just to confirm whether or not there was a lot of difference!) and the blue is just as nice!
As you can see, the micro beads are dispersed very generously through the formula, which gives it a slightly gritty feel - something I love in cleansers!

Overall, I absolutely love this cleanser. I'd say this would have to be one of my favourites! If you love the heat, and you haven't tried this yet, then you need it in your life!

Have you tried this cleanser before? If not, do you think you would?

Coastal Scents Mystery Box

A little while ago I noticed that Coastal Scents had released this wonderful little idea - a mystery box! For only $19.95, you get a box of surprise goodies worth $50! I've had this for a little while, but keep forgetting to blog about it, so I figured

So, what did I get in my mystery box?

All of the goodies together!

Detailed Pointed Synthetic Brush & Large Shading Brush

Not available on the website

The moment I saw these, I fell in love. How cute is the pastel pink handles, and I desperately wanted more, however, they aren't available on the website! Honestly, I don't really need any more brushes, but how could you not love them?

Pink Kabuki Brush
Full size; $4.99

I was extremely disappointed to receive this. I had already bought one just before my spending ban when they were on sale, so there is really no point in me having two. I assumed they would look at your previous orders and go from there, but I don't think that is the case. Oh well, perhaps it will be included in another giveaway!

Mineral Eye Shadow Pots x3

Mineral Eye Shadow in Fiji Twist
Full size, $7.95

This is a gorgeous gold shadow, even though this photo makes it look a little bit yellow! It's not too sheer and stays on incredibly long! This was my first experience with mineral eye shadow, and I liked it!

Mineral Eye Shadow in VenetianFull size, $7.95

Venetian is a pretty pinkish brown colour, bordering on the pink more so. This was probably my favourite of the three, however, is not extremely wearable.

Mineral Eye Shadow in Bloom

Full size, $7.95

This colour was more of a browny pink and is actually very similar to Venetian, which was also a little bit of a letdown. But the colours actually work extremely well together, and make Venetian a little more wearable, so it wasn't a complete loss!

Miniature Brush Kit

Not available on the website

I was really happy with this little set! I've noticed it's nowhere on the website, like the other pink brushes, so I'm not sure how much this is worth. The brushes are extremely good quality and feel lovely, and this is the perfect size and brushes for my handbag! I've been meaning to get a little set for the handbag, and this is it!

So overall, what did I think of the Mystery Box?

I think it has its ups and downs. There were things I loved, and things that were so-so. I think this is going to be the case no matter what, though.
I'd definitely try this again as I think it's worth well over $20. I can't say for sure if it's worth $50, but hey, I'm not paying $50 anyway so who cares!

What did you think of the Coastal Scents Mystery Box? Would you give it a go?

Chi Chi Dramatic Lash in Rich Black

I was thrilled to receive this one! Although I have far too many mascaras as it is (can a girl really have too many, though?) I've always wanted to give Chi Chi cosmetics a go. Their prices are a little steep so I assumed they were quality, I had just never been sure. Now I'll know for certain!

Oh yay, I love Rimmel London however I can never seem to part with my precious money to buy these lovely quads! I received one as a gift a very long time ago and I loved it, I've just been to cheap to buy another! Perfect colours, definitely wearable!

Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Eyeshadow in Snap Attack

Another beautiful palette I've never been able to spend! These are always so expensive, but the colours and quality are amazing! I'll definitely do a full blog post on this baby shortly, as I'm in love with it!

Rimmel London Sexy Curves Full Figure Mascara

This was an extra that she didn't mention I'd be winning! I actually already have this mascara, and this was the one that wasn't sealed (not that I mind at all) so I'll probably pass this one on to my sister! I love it though, and very generous of her to include it!

Models Prefer Nail Enamel in Girls Night Out

This was another extra that Sandy included, and I absolutely love the colour! I've never tried Models Prefer nail polish before, but I can't wait!

Sportsgirl Nail It! in Berry Love

Maybelline Express Finish Nail Colour in Denim Dash

Wow, yet another extra! How generous is Sandy!? I love this colour, it's so bold and beautiful, I can't wait to try it out! I'd never tried the Maybelline nail polishes before, so this will be perfect!

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion Sample

More extras! I have another sample of this, which is great, because it'll give me a chance to test it out a bit longer to see if it's right for me!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula samples

I love Cocoa Butter and can't wait to give these all a go! They look beautiful! This one included a facial lotion, night renewal cream and a daily cleanser!

So thank you so much Sandy from Love or Sick Addiction! Make sure you check her blog out, she always has beautiful posts and does videos on occasion as well!

I was also the lucky winner of a gorgeous Bioderma pack, a giveaway hosted by the very lovely Emily from Emily's Anthology! I'd actually never tried anything from Bioderma before, which is why I entered, so I was so excited to be chosen as a winner!

Bioderma Sébium AKN

This is basically a product targeted at breakouts and imperfections, and help reduce them! I seriously can't wait to try this out, as I have a lot of imperfections I'd love to get rid of!

Bioderma Sébium H2O

This is what I'm really excited about! I've heard so much talk about this, so it'll be great to try it out for myself! If you don't know what this is, it is basically a make-up remover designed for oily skin! Exactly what I need!

I'm absolutely thrilled to win this giveaway also, and so a big thank you to Emily is in order! Make sure you check out her blog, she is absolutely amazing!

So there are the two giveaways I've won recently! Very exciting for me, especially being on a spending ban! This has certainly made it a lot easier to not buy things!

If there is anything in particular you would like to see me review, let me know, although I do plan on reviewing most of the items at some point!

So what do you think of all the lovely goodies I won?
