August Bellabox

It's that time of the month again girls, Bellabox time! Last month we were all extremely excited by our ridiculously generous boxes, but I was very curious to see whether or not the next month would be the same! This month it seems we're back to normal!

Annoyingly for me, I received mine a day late than the rest of my Melbourne buddies. Although I can't complain, as all my lovely WA ladies are still waiting! These beauty box companies really need to sort out a better posting scheme, in my opinion! Otherwise, yay, it arrived safely!

But rantings aside, let's have a look and see what's inside this month's Bellabox!

This month's theme is "Go Green" so from the get go, you know you're going to get a bunch of nature-friendly goodies made from natural ingredients!

The goodies all together.

Phytocare Daily C

This is not the first time Bellabox has thrown in a health item, and a lot of people ask why - keeping our insides beautiful helps with our outsides! Plus it doesn't hurt to try a couple of flu remedies every now and then during this horrible winter season!
Basically, what we have here is 2 sachets of vitamin C supplements that you can mix into liquid and drink up! Where were you two days ago when I needed you!

EmerginC Samples

I'm a little bummed with this one, as I already have both of these from my April Lust Have It, and still haven't used them. To be perfectly honest I'm not sure how I feel about these anyway, as they are so ridiculously expensive, so there is a very slim chance that I would buy them. The price is actually putting me off trying them, because if I like them, too bad so sad. At least I have more than one go at them now, I suppose, so I'll get a better idea of how good they actually work! Have to look at the positives!

Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner

I love Lush so I was happy to have another try at some products without having to buy them - especially as this kind of thing can be a bit expensive! I'm very intrigued by this one! It seems like a body butter but a lot smoother, so I can't wait to try it out!

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

I love Aveeno so I'm really happy with this one! At 29ml it's a pretty decent sample size, so perfect for throwing in the handbag!

Aurora Spa Rituals Shampoo & Conditioner

I absolutely love getting shampoo & conditioner samples as I love trying new things on my hair, and I especially love when they come in little bottles instead of sachets! I can't wait to give these a go! Just look at those names! "Rose Otto & Nettle" and "Burdock & Rose" just scream luxury!

Luk Beautifood Lip Nourish

Enough with the browns! I'm fine with the colour really, as I don't mind brown, but I can see why people are beginning to get fed up! It would be nice to have a different colour once in a while!
In saying that, this lippy is made from 100% natural and edible products, which is great, seeing as though it goes on the lips! These ones aren't in stores yet, so it's exciting to try something before everyone else gets to! I honestly can't wait to give this a go!

Bonus Offer

As a little treat, Bellabox has thrown in a bonus offer for the You, Me & Everybody hand wash! Just buy something from the Bellabox shop and you get this one for free! (Providing you enter in the secret password on the page!)

So all in all, what did I think of this month's Bellabox?

Initially, I felt kind of let down. The EmerginC capsules are a repeat for me and that was all I was really looking at. But, when I sat down and looked at everything I felt okay. The Lush product is actually great, and trying out a brand new lip product before it hits stores is also exciting. I was also very excited about the shampoo and conditioner! All in all, I'd say it was a successful box, but I think in future they should really consider not offering something that was in a rival box just a few months ago! (FYI - in Lust Have It we got three EmerginC samples, not two!) Aside from that, I was fairly happy!

So what did you think of this month's Bellabox? Have you received yours yet?

  7. Silly that Lush hasn't put the instructions on the tin for the body conditioner as it's not a normal body butter! You use it in the shower on wet skin, massage in, then rinse off and pat dry. I love it, but imagine it wouldn't be as nice if you didn't know to rinse off!

  10. I only got my Bellabox on Tuesday in Perth! I was trying to keep the contents a secret but Bellabox sent me out an email Tuesday morning about what was in the box gaaah. I got a horrible brown lippie too!
I was really disappointed with the contents of this box, the only thing I was excited about is the Lush Ro's Argan body conditioner - which I already own anyways!

    1. Oh gosh, it's so slow to Perth! They should really consider sending them out early for you guys so you can at least get them the same time as the rest of us!
I can see why people were disappointing in this one though, especially after last month... and yes, enough browns! :P
