Clean & Clear Advantage Fast Clearing Spot Gel

I hate getting spots on my face, it's got to be one of the worst things, especially before a special event or a fun night out! I was given the chance to try out Clean & Clear's Advantage Fast Clearing Spot Gel!

The Clean & Clear Advantage Fast Clearing Spot Gel is a gel designed to reduce the symptoms of pimples quickly!

Clean & Clear claims that this product will reduce pimple redness from 4 hours, size from 4 hours and swelling from 8 hours! Sounds good, doesn't it?

The product itself comes in a handy little tube. At first, it doesn't seem like a lot, but you only need the tiniest amount to dab on, so you're barely using anything at all!

The product itself is clear and not too thick, so it's easy to apply and rub into the skin. I've read up about this and a few people have said that the product stings, however I didn't receive any stinging.

My results: before, and 8 hours after.
As you can see from my results (that is if you aren't too busy looking up my nose in the second shot) you'll see that after 8 hours, there was a significant difference. I wouldn't say that the redness was reduced, however, but the pimple size and swelling were almost non-existent, and I would much prefer covering redness with make-up than having a big swollen pimple that isn't red.

The 8 hours was during my shift at work, and when I got home I put a dab more on and went to bed. By morning, the redness was completely gone and I was back to beautiful and clear skin!

I did have to wait a little while before I could try this, as I don't get a lot of pimples anymore, but this is definitely handy to keep around for when I do! While not all skincare products will work the same for everyone, I would recommend giving this a go. At only $9.95, you really can't go wrong.

For more information you can check out their Facebook page here.

Have you tried Clean & Clear Advantage Fast Clearing Spot Gel before? If so, what did you think?

Weekly Makeup Tag: Fall Inspired

It's finally Wednesday again, which is one of my favourite days of the week! Not only does it mean my week is almost over, but it also means Weekly Makeup Tag time! As much as I love taking part in the tag, it can be really tough to get time to sit down every week and do a make-up look, especially if it's going to be an out-there kind of look that I'll have to remove before going to work! So that's probably why I try to keep my looks as wearable as possible!

This week's theme was "Fall!" For us Aussies, Autumn! This is a bit backwards for us, as we are entering summer, so it was fun to try and create this look!

I'm looking a bit paler than usual, which is rather strange as we've had some lovely hot days where I have been out and about, so sorry about that! I used Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation, with Rimmel London Stay Matte over the top. (As always... I'm a girl who loves her Rimmel London!)

For my lips, I used Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, which is my absolute favourite! I've almost worn it all down and will need to buy myself another one - although at the price we pay, I'm thinking eBay this time!

For my eyes, I used the Sleek MakeUp Respect palette, which is part of the Shagri-La collection. I used four colours, one creamy colour, two orange colours and one lovely brown colour for my lower lashes.
I then used Soap and Glory Supercat Liner, which is my newest favourite liner since I received it in the last international blog swap (post here.) My mascara was Australis Multi Mega Lash mascara (reviewed here.)

Now for some picture spamming!

So hopefully you enjoyed my Weekly Makeup Tag this week! Next week's theme is Disney, which will be a challenge, but I think I'm up for it!
Make sure you check out Aqeela's blog for more information about this tag, and to see the other gorgeous looks!

Lon Vitalite C2 Collagen Firming & Moisturising Facial Mask

If you know me, then you'll know I love face masks! Just love them! Today I wanted to share my thoughts regarding a lovely face mask by Lon Vitalite, the C2 Collagen Firming & Moisturising Face Mask.

Even though I'm still in my early twenties, I'm still very careful with my skin! I love the idea of collagen face masks to keep my skin firm and fresh, so this really appealed to me.

I love how big and bright the packaging is!

If this is your first mask application, Lon Vitalite give you very clear instructions!

Eep!
Yes, the mask is actually too big for my face! Every time I use these kinds of masks, I do find that my face is always too small and the holes don't always match up! But either way, the mask is still covering all it needs to, so I'm not complaining!

I absolutely loved this mask! It gave me a really wonderful firming feeling afterwards, but my skin wasn't too tight where it became uncomfortable. My face felt fresh and clean, and very moisturised!

It had a really nice neutral smell, which for me is really important, as sometimes these kinds of masks can be a bit overbearing and make wearing them for 20 minutes just impossible! This one wasn't slipping all over the place either, despite being too big, which was also a big plus as when I wear a face mask, I like to forget that it's on my face!

This is definitely a mask I'd be interested in using again, as it really did give me a nice, clean outcome and didn't make me break out! I was really pleased with it, it made me feel relaxed, fresh and clean, which is all I ask for from a mask! Perfect for a nice relaxing bath!

You can buy this mask from the Lon Vitalite website here, where you can buy a box of 5 for $39, which in my opinion is not a bad price at all! I also love that Lon Vitalite are local, based on the Gold Coast!

I've also just been informed by the company that they are offering a very special 20% discount for my readers throughout the month of December! Head to their website and use "sweetaholic" in the codebox to receive 20% off your order, which you can also use on any sample packs, too!

Have you tried Lon Vitalite masks before? If so, what did you think?

This product was kindly provided for my consideration.

November Lust Have It!

After last month's extreme lateness, Lust Have It have picked it up a little bit and are back on schedule, with their boxes being shipped out before the end of the month! I was a bit disappointed to open the box and find another blue bag, the same colour that was included in the April Lust Have It. Oh well, I'm not going to base the whole month's contents on just the bag, since they mentioned on their card that this will be the last month they give us the bags.

Most people were pretty unhappy with last month's box, and I heard that a lot of other people unsubscribed. I wasn't very happy with last month's box either. I received a face mask that I can't use, a black nail polish which is such a boring colour to receive, and a bath fizzer that certainly did not fizz!

I decided, however, to give Lust Have It another go just to see how they turn things around. They were aware that it wasn't such a great month, so I was looking forward to them redeeming themselves!

So, let's take a look at what they included this month!

I'm seeing some hopeful looking goodies in there...

Lomasi Body Creme

I love a good moisturiser, and this one smells lovely so this will definitely get used. I like the packaging, it's very sleek and professional, so I'll be interested to see how this one goes.

Face of Australia Purifying Cleansing Wipes

It's always nice to see a full sized product, especially with something like this as it really comes in handy. I've never tried the Face of Australia wipes before so this will be interesting!

Davroe Hair Wellness Argan Oil

I will never say no to a good Argan oil spray, which is probably why I have about ten in my bathroom. I was a bit saddened that I didn't get the detangler. I have long, oily hair. Argan oil probably wasn't the best suited thing to send me, but it will get used by my boyfriend.

ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Mascara

This is full sized, and a newly released product so this I'm happy with. I love that, like the ModelCo lipglosses, this has a mirror on the side to make sure you're applying it correctly on the go, and makes the job easier. Pretty pleased with this as I've found I like most ModelCo products I receive.

Star&Rose Hologram Tweezer

I like the addition of this. Tweezers aren't something that everyone has, believe it or not, so it's a great little item. It has a cute design, so nobody can object to that, surely! If you don't like it or already have a great pair of tweezers (like me, although this will go to my work locker for emergency plucking moments!) then it can be given to somebody as a stocking filler, surely!

So, overall, I'm still on the fence with Lust Have It. They're products and customer service have increased, although I'm a bit annoyed about two things. Firstly, the two (as far as I know there are only two variations) boxes are completely different! The other box included amazing products! Check out Kat's box (here), and Nalini's box (here) and decide for yourself. I know which one I would have preferred.

I also am a bit frustrated at the fact that there seems to be no bother with who gets what in the boxes. Last month I got the mask not suitable for my skin, this time I get a hair product that is probably not the best for oily hair. Hmm, seeing a pattern, aren't we?

I won't say I was unhappy with this box, because I wasn't. Before I knew what was in the other box, I was very pleased with what I got! I was just a bit sad I didn't get what a few other lucky ladies got. But these are things that will get used, which is the main thing!

So, what did you think of this month's Lust Have It? Are you still subscribed, or did you give up on them?

Essence Get Big! Lashes Mascara

If you read yesterday's post (here) you'll know that instead of spending money, I'm trying to shop my stash and review what I've already got!

Today I want to show you one of my sister's favourites, the Essence Get Big! Lashes mascara. She talked me into buying it after I was complaining that my lashes aren't as pretty as hers, and this was apparently her secret!

This particular version of the mascara is made entirely for volume and curl! I'm not one for using an eyelash curler, as I'm extremely lazy and can never be bothered, so I love a good mascara that will curl your lashes for you and keep that curl!

That's one big brush!

The brush is curved so that it can create a curl in your lashes, and it's a big brush so that it can get you big lashes!

Now, let's have a look at my lashes to see how it goes!

My lashes with no mascara! They haven't been curled either.

My eyelashes after using Essence Get Big! Lashes mascara.
I used two layers.

I did find the consistency to be slightly clumpy, as you can probably see, but it's nothing that closing your eye over a tissue won't fix. (I will usually do that anyway, to avoid any mascara marks on my eyelids or under my eyes!)

Aside from the consistency though, I absolutely love this mascara and can see why it's one of my sister's favourites! It really does give you big, curled lashes that look fabulous! Almost like false lashes, in my opinion. If you're not looking close up, of course!

It's a very long lasting mascara, too, and I find that it doesn't smudge or come off too easily, although it is not waterproof.

This is a fantastic mascara for under $10, and you can buy this from Target or Priceline. I would definitely recommend this!

Have you tried any Essence mascaras before? If so, what did you think?

Sleek Dip-It Liquid Eyeliner

Because I'm a shopaholic and am totally addicted to buying new things, I figured since Christmas is coming and I should probably stop buying for myself and start buying for others, I decided it might to time to shop my stash a little bit. I thought I'd show you something that does not get a lot of my attention these days, but something that I absolutely love!

It's the Sleek Dip-It Liquid Eyeliner in Pink! Pink may have seemed a bit of a silly choice, but I love different coloured liquid eyeliners, and I already have enough black as it is!

To give you a size perspective, this is the Sleek Dip-It Eyeliner next to a Revlon Colorburst Lipstick.

The brush is perfect for application, not too soft and not to hard, with a nice sharp end for those precise thin lines!

This was a little bit of a lazy attempt at swatching. The colour payoff is amazing, as you can see. It dries extremely quickly, and is so long lasting! It's difficult trying to get it off my hand now, after just five minutes!

This looks fabulous paired with a thin line of black eyeliner. I do a black line with a wing and then a very thin line of pink just above the black line. It creates a really unique look which I think is pretty snazzy, which is why I chose pink. There are other colours too, including the usual like black and silver, but also including gorgeous purples and greens!

Overall, I like this product. At $5.99 I do feel it's a bit on the smaller side, but then again liquid eyeliner doesn't last forever so you're better off getting it in small lots. The packaging is just adorable and so eye-catching!

So, it's long lasting, gorgeous colour payoff and pretty good for the price! Definitely something I'll be repurchasing in the future, this time I'll be trying some of their other colours!

You can buy the Sleek Dip-It Eyeliner here!

Have you tried this before? If so, what did you think?

November Bellabox

At last, my November Bellabox has arrived! I'm becoming a little bit frustrated with the way Bellabox is sending out their boxes. I'm seeing girls in New South Wales receiving theirs on Thursday. My tracking number says it's waiting to be shipped out in Sunshine (for those who don't know where that is, it's like 20 minutes from my house... I could catch a bus to pick it up from there, seriously) yet it doesn't get to me until Monday of the next week? Knowing that it's so close, yet so far, is so very, very frustrating! Also I feel like, why should I bother blogging about it since every other blogger has already! (I feel your pain, WA girls! Although probably not as much...) I just feel Bellabox should probably send out their packages so everyone gets them the same time. End rant now!

This month's theme was "Soiree Season Staples." Sometimes I find the theme a little unnecessary as a lot of things don't really have anything to do with the theme! So let's see this month...

All of the goodies together. I'm spying a few things I like...

Ocean Essence Nourishing Cherry Face Mask

This was a full sized product, and I'm very excited about it! First, I love masks. I just love them! Secondly, this smells amazing! I adore the smell, and can't get enough of it! I was thrilled to find that the whole box smelt like this! Yummy!

Swisse Hand Cream

I heard most people saying that this is what they were excited about! At first, I had seriously no idea why this would be so exciting until I received it, and realised it was from Swisse! Now, I'm excited too!

Organic Spa Face Exfoliant
I love exfoliants, so this will definitely get used. This is also organic, as the name suggests, so I'm very interested in seeing how this goes!

Bloom Glitter Liquid Eyeliner in Lucky Star

I was a bit cautious about getting this, as I'd received one similar in a previous box. But this is a different colour, and very pretty in my opinion, so I'll definitely have to try this out! Also, don't ask me what happened to the box, because I have no idea! It was like that when I got it!

Palmolive Body Butter Wash in Strawberry Smoother

I actually stalked my local Coles to suss these out before I received this. Both smelt absolutely amazing, and to be honest, I was hoping for the mango as I absolutely love mango! But I'm happy with either! If I love this, I'll probably go out and buy the full sized mango one as it just smelt heavenly!

4me Nail Polish Remover Pads

I've actually used remover pads before and don't find them too bad. They can be a bit messy as they are super wet, but if you're really in a pickle and need to remove your polish, these are pretty simple and easy to keep in your handbag! (Especially for those bosses or teachers who don't approve of nail polish in work or school!)

Bioderma Sebium H20 Cleansing Water

Eh. I've used Bioderma a while back and liked it at first, until it made me break out! I broke out pretty badly too, and so I've sworn off Bioderma! I think at some point in the future I'll probably give them another go, but for now I'm steering clear!

$100 Wine Voucher

Eh again. I'm not a wine drinker at all, so this is completely wasted on me. It says you have to spend $100 to get the $100 so this might go to my mother in law as she loves wine.

So, all in all, what did I think of this month's box? Well, surprisingly the one month I say that the theme is useless, the items somewhat match the theme. Makes me seem a little bit silly, doesn't it?

But on a serious note, I really did like the box. Most of the items will get used, which is always a good thing, as I have a giant bag of samples that I have no idea what to do with! I think I may even have to use that mask tonight...

What did you think of this month's Bellabox?

In Full Bloom Giveaway Winnings!

Wow, look at all those goodies! I was very lucky and won another giveaway, this time hosted by the gorgeous Khatsii (my Sims buddy!) as she had scored herself some fabulous Bloom deals, and wanted to share!

I was thrilled to win her "In Full Bloom" giveaway, which she mentioned there would also be a surprise!

The wrapping was absolutely gorgeous, but I just laughed so much at the old school Ron Weasley sticker! I had this exact sticker ages ago, and how I loved it! This was definitely surprise enough for me, as it gave me a good giggle!

Sims buddies for life! Her gorgeous card and super neat handwriting!

Typo Bulldog Clips!
I love Typo and I love these! How cute! They will make a totes awesome addition to my study!

Nude by Nature Natural Eye Palette

Say what!? I was stoked when I opened this (forgive my Aussie lingo!) and couldn't believe it was mine! I love Nude by Nature and I love having natural looking eyes (but, you know, that look good!) so this is absolutely perfect for me! My sister will be seething with jealousy when she sees this!

Bloom Shimmer Liquid Eye Shadow in Neptune and Super Glossy Lips in Polished

Of course I had to actually show you the Bloom goodies, as the giveaway was kind of centered around these two beautiful products! I can't wait to use the eye shadow, which I plan on using for a dinner tomorrow night! The lip gloss also looks gorgeous, so I'll probably wear that too!

A huge, huge thank you to my Sims buddy Khatsii! (Look at her gorgeous sticker, I love it!)

If you aren't already following her, make sure you check out her blog HERE!

So what did you think of my awesome giveaway goodies?

November Lust Have It!

After last month's extreme lateness, Lust Have It have picked it up a little bit and are back on schedule, with their boxes being shipped out before the end of the month! Essence Get Big! Lashes Mascara

If you read yesterday's post (here) you'll know that instead of spending money, I'm trying to shop my stash and review what I've already got!
