November Lust Have It!

After last month's extreme lateness, Lust Have It have picked it up a little bit and are back on schedule, with their boxes being shipped out before the end of the month! I was a bit disappointed to open the box and find another blue bag, the same colour that was included in the April Lust Have It. Oh well, I'm not going to base the whole month's contents on just the bag, since they mentioned on their card that this will be the last month they give us the bags.

Most people were pretty unhappy with last month's box, and I heard that a lot of other people unsubscribed. I wasn't very happy with last month's box either. I received a face mask that I can't use, a black nail polish which is such a boring colour to receive, and a bath fizzer that certainly did not fizz!

I decided, however, to give Lust Have It another go just to see how they turn things around. They were aware that it wasn't such a great month, so I was looking forward to them redeeming themselves!

So, let's take a look at what they included this month!

I'm seeing some hopeful looking goodies in there...

Lomasi Body Creme

I love a good moisturiser, and this one smells lovely so this will definitely get used. I like the packaging, it's very sleek and professional, so I'll be interested to see how this one goes.

Face of Australia Purifying Cleansing Wipes

It's always nice to see a full sized product, especially with something like this as it really comes in handy. I've never tried the Face of Australia wipes before so this will be interesting!

Davroe Hair Wellness Argan Oil

I will never say no to a good Argan oil spray, which is probably why I have about ten in my bathroom. I was a bit saddened that I didn't get the detangler. I have long, oily hair. Argan oil probably wasn't the best suited thing to send me, but it will get used by my boyfriend.

ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Mascara

This is full sized, and a newly released product so this I'm happy with. I love that, like the ModelCo lipglosses, this has a mirror on the side to make sure you're applying it correctly on the go, and makes the job easier. Pretty pleased with this as I've found I like most ModelCo products I receive.

Star&Rose Hologram Tweezer

I like the addition of this. Tweezers aren't something that everyone has, believe it or not, so it's a great little item. It has a cute design, so nobody can object to that, surely! If you don't like it or already have a great pair of tweezers (like me, although this will go to my work locker for emergency plucking moments!) then it can be given to somebody as a stocking filler, surely!

So, overall, I'm still on the fence with Lust Have It. They're products and customer service have increased, although I'm a bit annoyed about two things. Firstly, the two (as far as I know there are only two variations) boxes are completely different! The other box included amazing products! Check out Kat's box (here), and Nalini's box (here) and decide for yourself. I know which one I would have preferred.

I also am a bit frustrated at the fact that there seems to be no bother with who gets what in the boxes. Last month I got the mask not suitable for my skin, this time I get a hair product that is probably not the best for oily hair. Hmm, seeing a pattern, aren't we?

I won't say I was unhappy with this box, because I wasn't. Before I knew what was in the other box, I was very pleased with what I got! I was just a bit sad I didn't get what a few other lucky ladies got. But these are things that will get used, which is the main thing!

So, what did you think of this month's Lust Have It? Are you still subscribed, or did you give up on them?

  2. I got the same stuff as you and thought it was mediocre. There were some great products (e.g. mascara), and some disappointing (e.g. davroe). Can't help but stay subscribed since I bought a yearly subscription!

    1. I hate to say it but I'm considering unsubscribing... they really need to start taking into account people's personal preferences. I don't have oily skin because I want it, so trying out a mask for dry skin is going to be doing nothing but damage! So frustrating!
The ORLY flash dry drops are way better than anything we got in this variation of the box, plus two vouchers were we got none? How unfair! I still would have liked the vouchers!
Haha ending this rant... it really sucks your on a yearly subscription though :(

  4. I didn't even see the other bag until then! They got an Orly product :O I would've preferred the other bag for sure!

The variation in boxes is crap! I wish everybody could get the same apart from the skin care/hair care being different for peoples needs! How can they justify giving one lot of people Orly and not the other >.< so annoying!

    1. Same! I wanted the Orly, and I would have actually used the voucher :(
Me too, it's really not fair with Lust Have It! I know Bellabox does it as well but most boxes will get majority the same things... this box felt WAY off! :(

  5. I got the same as you except for the Davroe hair product. I ended up getting the detangler when i would have preferred the argon oil lol. Also, i ended up resubscribing this month and thank god they improved! lol :)

It is definitely an improvement from last month but I do think they have a lot of issues they'll need to sort out before they become excellent!

  7. Great review, hun! Hmm, I received different products from what you did! I actually got the argan oil in a previous LHI box, as well as the detangler (so-so), so it's interesting to still see it around!

I posted my review up, and I also tagged your post so people could see what was in the other boxes! http://madeupmaiden.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/november-lust-have-it-review.html

I think that LHI should make an effort to keep the contents of the boxes similar, as that's what proved to be the downfall of Glossybox.

    1. It kinda felt like a few of the boxes were thrown together from "left over" items, even the bags themselves!

And awww, thanks for linking me! I'm gunna update mine to link yours too :)

I definitely think they need to make the effort, and to at least make it so people are getting things they can actually use (dry face mask for oily skinned person? NO! haha!)

    2. I agree with you, it does seem a bit like they're just trying to finish leftover stock. :S

My pleasure and thank you in advance!

I agree with you re Bellabox but I do have a sneaking suspicion that LHI are now much larger than Bellabox and can't spend the same amount of time sorting/packing each box to fit individual preferences!

  8. Aww what a shame that your box seemed mediocre to the other ones! This is probably a reason why I probably won't start subscribing to these monthly boxes. The argan oil and ModelCo mascara definitely look promising though :) Thanks for sharing!

    1. I have heard about it, but not too sure if I'll go for it! It sounds lovely, but I'm not a huge foodie so I'll have to see what's included in the boxes before I'd go for it ;)
