ghd Candy Styler *

If you follow me via Twitter or Instagram, then you'll know how much I love my hair! I find that my hair is my best feature, and I really like to take care of it. When I was given the chance to test out one of the new ghd Candy Styler, of course I was excited.

I managed to get my hands on the beautiful violet straightener! There was a choice between mint, lemon or violet - I just can't say no to purple!

The ghd Candy Styler has two ceramic coated plates that smooth through your hair effortlessly and heat up quick smart! The plates are also rounded, which means you can use the styler for a number of different hairstyles!

The cord also swivels, which makes it so much easier to use, especially if you have a cramped bathroom!

So pretty!

I already have an older ghd model (which is still going strong, I might add) but I figured it would be great for an upgrade! There are a few smaller differences - for example the beeping noises that it makes to let you know it's ready, or if it's been on too long, are much higher pitched and easier to hear. The styler itself is also lighter feeling, and sleeker, which makes it easier to hold onto and actually use.

The ghd Styler is originally used for straightening your hair. As you can see, my hair is fairly long so straightening it can be a little bit of a battle sometimes. I found with the ghd Styler, my hair was straightened within minutes, and with ease! It worked the first time, every time - whereas occasionally with my older straightener, I would have to redo the same spot a few times before it would stay!

My hair is naturally on the straighter side, but mostly wavy, which can be fairly difficult to straighten out!

As I mentioned before, the ghd Styler has rounded plates, which means you can use your straightener to create a bunch of different looks - including curling your hair! I actually prefer curling my hair with my ghd than an actual hair curler, as it's a lot easier and faster!

Usually curling my hair can a long time, but using my new ghd Styler it went a lot quicker than usual!

Overall, I'm really happy I've upgraded my ghd Styler. Although my old faithful is still going strong, I do find that a newer model has more power, more heat, and protects my hair more. (It also has nothing to do with a cute purple styler sitting in my bathroom!)

You can check out more about ghd Stylers here, and you can view some nifty hair tutorials using the styler here! While these babies can be on the expensive side, I think that a $250+ price-tag is not too bad considering how long these quality stylers actually do last! I would definitely recommend ghd Stylers to anybody who cares about their hair like I do!

Do you use a ghd Styler? If so, what do you think?
