My Makeup Collection - Part 4

Last week I showed you my massive blusher collection (which you can see here) so today I'm showing you my mascaras! Now, a word of advice - don't freak out! I know I have a lot of mascaras, which could be construed as a bad thing - but rest assured I'm well aware of the 6 month expiry tag usually associated with mascara!

Every Day Mascaras

Rarely Used/Special Occasion Mascaras

Rimmel London Volume Flash, Rimmel London Sexy Curves, Maybelline One By One Volum' Express, Bourjois Paris Effet Liner, Essence Get Big Lashes, Clinique Lash Doubling, Max Factor Xperience, Bourjois Paris Volume Glamour Maxx, Elf Lengthening & Defining

Never Used Mascaras

Rimmel London Extra Super Lash, Essence Marble Mania, Benefit They're Real, IsaDora Flirty Curl, Innoxa PerfectLash, ModelCo Fibre Lash Extend, Beauty Cycle Mascara, Australis Lash TLC, Loreal Lash Architect 4D

Unopened Mascaras

Maybelline Falsies, Chi Chi Dramatic Lash, Revlon Custom Eyes, Avon Super Extend Extreme

--

The second picture is of mascaras I only use every now and then (maybe once or twice a month) so I don't feel they're subject to the same six month expiry date. (Yes, I'm aware it could cause problems, etc etc.) I always clean my mascara wands with a tissue after and before, and never, ever use mascara when I'm sick. So personally I don't feel I'm at a huge risk. Nobody else uses my mascara, and if I notice it getting a bit funky, I will throw it away!

--

If you'd like to read any more in-depth reviews on any of the above (particularly the opened ones, please!) then just let me know, and I'll see what I can do. As usual, the ones I have reviewed previous have been linked above!

Have you tried any of these mascaras? If so, what did you think?

  1. LOL oh my! In contrast, I try to keep my mascaras down to a minimum and generally only ever rotate between 2 at once - one for everyday and one for a more dramatic look. I like to finish a tube before opening a new one haha very OCD about it :P

  3. Wow nice mascara collection! I usually like to have 3-4 mascaras on the go, at the moment I have probably 3 backups and I thought that was plenty :P I don't clean out my mascaras every 6 months either, it's usually 9 haha or until they're used up.

  7. don't worry, I don't stick to the 3/6month rule either...I'm thinking of using disposable wands, so I don't risk any infection.

My 'rule' is if it smells okay and isn't clumpy/dry, then it's still okay to use lol

    1. Ohh that's a good idea, I never thought of using the disposable wands! I agree though haha, and as long as I didn't use it when I was sick or anything!

  8. Mascara is one thing I am conscious about in terms of sticking to the 6 month expiry date rule, though I've absolutely been guilty of keeping some for much longer than that :p I love Benefit They're Real and I used L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D before and quite liked it! Currently I have 2-3 mascaras open (CoverGirl Lash Blast, Max Factor Masterpiece Max and Revlon CustomEyes).

  14. Wow, this is amazing. I currently have two Face of Australia mascaras on the go.

I'm currently on the lookout for a really good volumising cruelty-free mascara. So out of the Innoxa, Australis and ELF which do you think makes your lashes look the biggest?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I replied to you on Twitter a little while ago! But the Australis one is definitely my favourite - the ELF was shockingly bad :(
Haven't tried the Innoxa as yet! Good luck in finding a good cruelty-free mascara! Have you tried out Physicians Formula? Pretty sure they're cruelty-free, and I've heard good things!

  15. Oh gosh, sooo many mascaras! I usually have 2-4 open and have one or two older ones for quick and thick applications! Will you be getting rid of a bunch of them together because so many are open? Do keep the brushes though! I love keeping the old brushes!
