My Top 5 Lipsticks

A little while ago, when I posted about my lip collection (which you can read about here) I had a few people suggest that I do a post showing you my top ten lipsticks! As I was being far too picky (or not picky enough, I'm not really sure) I decided it might be easier to round it down to my favourite five lipsticks! This seemed a lot easier!

Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare, Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, Australis Cosmetics Colour Inject Lipstick in Lick the Icing, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Guest List, Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight

Rimmel London Apocalips *

One of my all time favourite drug store brands is Rimmel London. Ever since I discovered my love of beauty, Rimmel London has been a faithful and cost effective brand! I've always been in love with their products (in particular their lip products!) and I've never tried a product from them that I don't like!

Now they've finally released their new lip laquer the Apocalips in Australia! (Known as the Rimmel London Show Off Lip Laquer in the US.)

If you are any kind of beauty enthusiast, then you'll more than likely have already read a million and one reviews on the Rimmel London Apocalips. I'd say that the beauty world is about 50/50 right now. Some of us love them, some of us hate them. Some common complaints I've heard is that the Apocalips smell bad, or that they lay on the lips and look bad, or that the colours just aren't that great. Some of the beauty community are a little peeved that Rimmel decided not to give us a true red - as in the UK they released Big Bang which is a gorgeous red colour. (I am fortunate enough to own Big Bang thanks to a blog swap!) Either way, I'm hoping Rimmel decide to eventually let us have the other colours available in the UK!

July Lust Have It!

I always look forward to my monthly Lust Have It box, although it usually seems to be the last one I receive! I try not to read spoilers because I love surprises, and I especially love to check out the latest design on the boxes! This month's is really pretty!

This month's theme is Lustre Vibrant Beauty. I try not to take too much notice of the themes in subscription boxes as they are usually really vague!

Clarins Rouge Prodige True Hold Colour & Shine Lipstick *

Recently I was given a chance to do a miniature shop at awesome Aussie online store RY.com.au; Australia's largest online beauty store! I was thrilled to discover all the amazing brands that RY had to offer - one of them including luxe brand Clarins!

I've always been a huge fan of Clarin's packaging - the beautiful chic gold casing gives your product such a ritzy feel! I decided on the Clarins Rouge Prodige True Hold Colour & Shine Lipstick in Rosy Coral! (whoa, what a mouthful!) Needless to say, I was quiet the fancy lady pulling out this lipstick for touch ups!

Rosy Coral is an absolutely gorgeous pink coral. The lipstick itself is ridiculously creamy! The product slides on the lips with ease, and has a natural finish. Rosy Coral is definitely a My Lips But Better colour, and on my lips in particular, gives off a perfectly natural look, without looking too glossy or glittery.

July Violet Box

Last month, newest Aussie subscription box Violet Box launched! I was lucky enough to be one of the first signed up, and I was pretty pleased with the first box. (You can read all about the first box here.)

This month I've already noticed a change in their box - it now has an adorable purple bow to keep the lid closed, and the box is a lot more sturdy! I love sturdier boxes as they can be used to store all sorts of things, so good change, Violet Box

July Her Fashion Box

I really look forward to receiving my monthly Her Fashion Box as it rarely disappoints, and this month was no exception! As usual it comes in a nifty black box which I actually store my lipsticks in for the moment, while I'm trying to do up my blog room! I've currently got three Her Fashion Box boxes full of lipsticks! Yikes! (If you remember my lipstick collection post here, then you'll know what I mean!)

This month's theme was all about Winter Warmers - which is only natural what with us being in the middle of a freezing Melbourne winter at the moment! (I don't know about the rest of Australia, but Melbourne is deathly cold right now!)

All of the goodies! As always, I received the Feminine Box.

Dettol Revitalise Antibacterial Handwash *

If you follow me on Twitter (which you can do here) then you'll know recently I came down with a stomach flu - so right now there's nothing more important to me than my personal and hand hygiene! With that in mind, I'm armed with the Dettol Revitalise Antibacterial Handwash with Rasberry & Pomegranate to help keep germs away!

I'm already a big fan of the original Dettol products, so when I got a chance to try out the Revitalise range, I was delighted. The scent is absolutely beautiful, and doesn't smell like your run of the mill anti-bacterial handwash!

Rosehip Oil Skin Boost Roll-On *

Late last year I reviewed a bottle of Rosehip Oil (which you can read here) and I was extremely impressed. During the summer months however, I tended to steer clear as my skin was fairly oily already and so I tried to use lighter products. But come winter, I'm back to using the Rosehip Oil, and I'm loving it!

Recently I was given the chance to test out the Rosehip Oil Skin Boost Roll-On. It's basically 15ml of Rosehip Oil compacted into a nifty roll-on stick.

While I won't go into reviewing the actual product inside too much, as I've already reviewed, I will say that organic cold pressed Rosehip Oil is extremely beneficial for my skin! While I do have oily skin, Rosehip Oil does not make it more oily! It does help retain moisture and keep my skin fresh and clean.

Winter Lust Have It Eco Box

I truly knew it was winter when I received the Lust Have It Eco Box in the mail a few days ago! I'm a fan of the Eco Boxes (even though they aren't actually boxes?) as they usually have some pretty great goodies inside!

I love the designs of their cards! The winter one is particularly beautiful!

I'm actually seeing a few products I've already tried in there!

I.C.O.N India Range + Giveaway! *

If you read my blog regularly, you'll know that I love to take care of my hair. The I.C.O.N India range recently launched in Australia and so when given the chance to test out the range, I was delighted!

The I.C.O.N India products are a new twist to the Argan oil market; combining Moringa oils with Argan oils, with the beautiful scent of amber.

I really adore the packaging of the I.C.O.N India range! I think the packaging really represents the whole idea of the range.

The scent is glorious! The shampoo and conditioner both inhabit the both scent of argan oil crossed with amber, admittedly a scent not for everybody, but something I personally really enjoyed. I found the scent to be really relaxing and peaceful!

I honestly couldn't believe how soft my hair felt after using the shampoo and conditioner. Usually my hair is pretty tangled after just using shampoo, but after using the I.C.O.N India shampoo, my hair was still really soft and manageable before using the conditioner. Once I did use the conditioner, my hair was softer than it's ever been before! (If you've seen my hair, you'll know how long it is - I could actually run my fingers through my hair, while wet, with no tangles or snagging!)

I was also really pleased to find that as an oil based product, it didn't weigh my hair down, or assist in my hair becoming oilier quicker! This is a huge plus for me!

My Makeup Collection - Part 8

La Mav Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub *

Another day, another La Mav review! I've been loving this organic brand recently, and so I really wanted to show you all the products I tested separately, rather than altogether in one massive post! The La Mav Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub is probably the first thing that caught my eye when I opened all my new goodies - as not only do I love scrubs, I also love cranberry! So the idea of them together was very exciting for me.

The La Mav Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub is a deep cleaning scrub to help clear away any dead skin, as well as removing excess oil. As my skin is fairly oily, I was pleased to find that this scrub can be used for most skin types, but best for skin prone to imbalance and impurities. As well as removing dead skin and oil, it's also supposed to leave your skin looking

As you can see, the scrub itself is fairly gritty and contains bamboo powder and cranberry seeds! This is probably the grittiest scrub I've ever used, and I have to say I liked it! The La Mav Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub helped clear away dead skin, leaving me with fresh, clean and clear skin!

--

Although this scrub is gentle enough to use every day, I have stopped using it every day and have instead incorporated it into my pampering regime, to use when I want to give my skin an extra special treat! While it's a wonderful product and I wish I could use it every day, the hefty price tag on this luxe product makes me want to use it sparingly!

Overall, I'm in love with this scrub! I would definitely recommend it to anybody who needs a good facial exfoliator, or to anybody who just wants an extra special treat when doing facials at home!

You can pick up the La Mav Cranberry Bio Exfoliating Scrub here, and it retails for $42.95 - expensive for an every day product but definitely doable for a luxe every now and then product!

Have you tried La Mav before? If so, what did you think? Do you like to use a scrub in your beauty regime?

This product was provided for consideration.

June Empties

Another month, another empties post! I seriously can't believe we're already in July! It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating New Years! I'm hoping the next few months speed by so we can leave winter behind us! Following a bunch of UK bloggers is certainly not helping the summer envy!

You can check out my May Empties here!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

This is actually my second pack of these wipes, as I really liked them the first time using them! I found them to be really good at removing makeup while being so gentle on the skin! You can read my entire review here.
Would I repurchase? I absolutely would, but I have so many other makeup removing wipes to try first!

Johnson's Face Care Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes

I actually use the Johnson's wipes for when I'm swatching, as I find the formula to be fairly "wet" and very good at removing makeup. When I ran out of the Neutrogena wipes, I finished off this packet for my face as well as my swatches. I did really like using them on my face, but I might wait again for summer.

Would I repurchase? No need to as I purchased a box of about 10 packs of these from Costco! But yes, I would eventually!

Lee Stafford Treatment For Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length

I remember I used to use this like mad, as I was obsessed with getting my hair longer! My hair is now reaching my butt, which means it's pretty much as long as I'm going to let it get! I did end up finishing up the tub of this however as it really helps keep my hair smooth and shiny! My boyfriend also uses this occasionally to help stimulate new growth in his hair, and as a treatment!

Would I repurchase? I definitely would, and have already got another tub waiting to be opened!

L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray

This is one of my favourite daily hairsprays ever! L'Oreal boasts that it "disappears at the stroke of a brush" on the can, and it absolutely does! It has a really strong hold, but feels completely natural! My boyfriend actually likes to use this one as well when he styles his hair, as it also doesn't give off that potent "I'm wearing hairspray" smell that you sometimes get!

Would I repurchase? Yes! I'm in the process of testing out another hairspray that I'm loving, but I love this one too!

Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner *

I'm usually a huge fan of another brands toner, but when I got the Neutrogena toner, I fell in love! This has been one of my favourites so far, as it left my skin feeling super clean and smooth! I honestly thought I had reviewed it, but when I checked back on my blog it doesn't look as though I have! Apologies about that!

Would I repurchase? I would definitely give it another go!

Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash

I've tried this in both the Daily Moisturising Wash * (review here) and the Stress Relief Wash * (review here) and loved them both! I decided to head out and buy the Skin Relief Wash as I figured it would be perfect for my winter ravaged skin! Much like the other two washes in the range, I loved it!

Would I repurchase? Again and again!

Australis
Matte Out Mattifying Face Base

Australis has been releasing some amazing products this past year, and the Matte Out Face Base is definitely one of them! I've found this has really helped keep my oiliness at bay! This little tube lasted me a good two months when used every day, so I'm not unhappy with that!

Would I repurchase? I already have!

--

I don't expect many empties next month after receiving so many goodies in the Priceline Skin Care Goody Bag (you can see what I got here!) I have a feeling I'll be having a play around with all my new skin care products, and we'll be lucky to see me finish any makeup products!

Have you tried any of the above products? If so, what did you think? Do you have an empties post? Link me to it, I'd love to see!

Products marked with a * were provided for consideration.

Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash *

Ever since trying out the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Body Wash (review here) I've been in love with Aveeno's body wash range! I was recently given the chance to try out the Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash, so of course I jumped at the chance!

Of late I've been pretty stressed out! Things are a bit stressful at work, and I've just had my tooth pulled. Sadly there were a few complications so I've been battling mouth pain for the last week - which means not being able to eat properly! So I really needed some stress relief.

The best thing about the Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash is that it combines lavender, chamomile and ylang-ylang essences, all known for their calming and relaxing properties! As usual with Aveeno, it also contains soothing oatmeal to help keep the skin smooth and hydrated!

The scent of this body wash is also amazing! The lavender scent empowers any of the other essences, so it's very relaxing. Much like the Daily Moisturising Body Wash, the wash itself is extremely luxe! A little goes a long way, but much like the Daily Moisturising wash, I really like to use a lot!

The Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash not only keeps my skin feeling clean, fresh and moisturised, but it definitely helps with stress relief! After a long, hard day at work I usually find it tough to come home and fall asleep straight away, but after I started using this wash, I feel so much more relaxed after my shower, and I just sink into bed and fall asleep! It's definitely calmed me down!

--

My final verdict is I love this body wash! I have already tried a few of the others but I think this is one of my favourites! I love the lavender scent, the relaxing vibe it gives off, and how it makes my skin feel! Definitely a winner in my books! At only $9.99 this is an absolute bargain, and I would definitely recommend!

Have you tried the Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash? If so, what did you think?

Product provided for consideration.

Congratulations for making it through! I do have a lot of palettes - but I don't plan on stop buying them any time soon! I'm addicted! As always, if you'd like me to review any of the palettes, let me know and I'll see what I can do! I've linked the ones I have already reviewed!
