My Top 5 Lipsticks

A little while ago, when I posted about my lip collection (which you can read about here) I had a few people suggest that I do a post showing you my top ten lipsticks! As I was being far too picky (or not picky enough, I'm not really sure) I decided it might be easier to round it down to my favourite five lipsticks! This seemed a lot easier!

Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare, Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, Australis Cosmetics Colour Inject Lipstick in Lick the Icing, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Guest List, Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight

Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare, Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, Australis Cosmetics Colour Inject Lipstick in Lick the Icing, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Guest List, Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight

Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare

I chose this as my absolute favourite lipstick based purely on the colour payoff. Flare is vibrant, crazy pigmented matte orange that stays put all day! Sadly, I find that Illamasqua lipsticks can get very dry, but the colour payoff is still a winner for me!

Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

This is probably my most worn lip product ever. As you can probably tell, I love orange, and it was pretty difficult not to choose all orange products for this top five. (Although that gives me an idea for another post!) I love pairing the Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti with the Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare, to really make that orange pop, and to tone down a matted look into a glossier look! It's also fantastic to wear on it's own, and while sheer, can be built up a lot!

Australis Cosmetics Colour Inject Lipstick in Lick the Icing
Lick the Icing was a limited edition lipstick, but I think you can still find it floating about. I instantly fell in love with this pink, as it's so bright and girly! This has quickly become one of my most worn pinks, and you'll usually find me wearing it in Aqeela's Weekly Makeup Tag (see here) for any colourful looks! Even my sister loved it so much I had to buy her one!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Guest List

For me, Guest List is the perfect My Lips But Better colour; a beautiful pink that is slightly on the shimmery side, but looks oh so natural on the lips. (I'm so sorry I don't have a lip swatch, keep watching my Instagram for updates, I'll try to post some there!) This is definitely my every day lipstick when I'm not in an orange mood, but is also perfect for a night out!

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight

Everyone has to have a favourite nude lipstick, and Nude Delight is mine! I actually did an entire post on Nude Delight which you can read here, back when my blog was shockingly unprofessional! (Hey we all have to start somewhere - be kind!) Nude Delight is definitely my go-to "sexy" lipstick for when I want my lips to be extra pouty!

Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare, Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, Australis Cosmetics Colour Inject Lipstick in Lick the Icing, Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Guest List, Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight

I did have individual lip swatch pictures, but yet again the weather has decided to intervene, which left all my pictures looking the same colour - so no point in showing you bad quality photos!

--

So there you have it, a short but sweet post on my top five lipsticks at the moment! Since I love orange/coral lips so much, I was thinking of doing a post on my favourite coral lipsticks - would anyone be interested in that?

Have you tried any of these lipsticks before? If so, what did you think? What lipsticks would be in your top five?
