2013 Favourites

F1

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's been a whole year since I did my 2012 Favourites! This was originally a tag, but I absolutely loved the idea of starting out the new year on my blog with a list of favourites from the last year, I couldn't not do this again! (Make sure you check out my 2012 Favourites here, and spot the differences!)

Much like last time, I had a really tough time picking my favourites from the entire year! It was so hard not to just choose things I've been loving in the last month or so!

F2

Lip Products

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Rendezvous

This was my go to lip stain practically the entire Melbourne winter. (Which translates to practically the entire year!) It gives the perfect amount of colour, is so easy to build up, and is a breeze to reapply during the day as it's in "stick" form! Plus I love orange!

Lush Ultrabalm All Purpose Balm

I was contemplating whether or not to include this in the lip section, but as I only really use it on my lips, I had to be truthful with myself. I ended up buying this during the middle of winter when my lips were killing me! They were so dry and disgusting, and Ultrabalm cleared it right up! I ended up taking this overseas with me, and even kept it with me on the plane - I didn't endure chapped lips once because of it! A definite favourite all year round!

F3

Makeup Base Products

Sheer Skin Perfect Natural AA Base *

Despite only getting this closer to the end of the year, this AA Base has literally changed my makeup life! I will never, ever, ever go without this for special occasions, or when I just want to look fabulous! Rest assured, I have no problems going bare faced these days as my skin is loving me, but this is just the perfect base! I've already repurchased this in bulk, as I never want to run out! You can read my review/rave here.

Australis Ready Set Go Finishing Powder in True Translucent

I'm such a big fan of the facial powder, and I've loved the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder for so long. Somehow I ended up with the Australis Finishing Powder; I have no idea where I even got it, but one day I decided to give it a try over my entire face of makeup. I couldn't believe how well it set my makeup for the entire day, and now I use it every single day for prolonged perfection!

F4

Eye Products

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner

After posting last year about how much I fell in love with the Soap & Glory Supercat Liner, I decided I needed a dupe for when it ran out as it isn't readily available in Australia. While stalking the Chemist Warehouse sales, I noticed the Master Precise Liner and decided to give it a go. Little did I know, this is a huge favourite among beauty lovers everywhere, and now I can see why! The ultra thin liner makes it easy to create practically any look you want, and it seems to last forever!

Maybelline The One by One Volum' Express Mascara in Satin Black

I believe this was a limited edition version that was released for Fashion Week, or something. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!) I absolutely fell in love with how beautiful it made my lashes look! It volumises, lengthens and even seems to curl my babies into looking like falsies in seconds! This has been one of my favourites, and I'll be sad to see it go when it runs out, as I don't think you can buy this edition anymore. I do know the original still exists, but I'm not sure it's as good as this one!

F5

Lorac Pro Palette

I only got around to reviewing the Lorac Pro Palette a little while ago but I've had it a good part of the year, and have since fallen in love! This is my most-used palette of late, and is perfect for special occasions and day to day wear. This was the only palette I took overseas with me as it was just too easy! Definitely worth investing in! You can read my entire review here.

F6

Cheek Products

Hard Candy Fox in a Box Blusher in Spicy and Sweet

My boyfriend actually gave this to me last Christmas, and I was pretty impressed! This has been one of my most used blushes all year, not only because my boyfriend bought it for me, but because it's a gorgeous colour, and has amazing payoff!

Illamasqua Blusher in Hussy *

I'd always wanted to try Illamasqua, and this blusher was my very first product. At first, I didn't see why so my bloggers loved them. It's just pink, right? Wrong! It's the most amazing, perfect pink the ever! The pigmentation is out of this world, and the application is super easy I could do it in my sleep! If you make a mistake, it's so easy to blend out and correct. I've since bought other Illamasqua blushers, but this has to be my all-time favourite! I reviewed Hussy here.

F7

Beauty Tools

Furless Cosmetics Must Have Professional Brushes; Pro Buffer Brush PRO4F & Pro Blunt Pencil Brush PRO3M

I ended up purchasing the entire Furless Cosmetics Must Have Professional Kit back in February and I've loved it ever since. But, of course with every brush kit, there are a few stand out brushes that you just fall in love with! The Buffer Brush and the Blunt Pencil Brush were my shining stars! Firstly, the Buffer Brush does it all. Every type of foundation, it buffs - and it buffs good! I can't remember using any other brush for my foundation, nor do I want to! It has me under a spell! The Blunt Pencil is the perfect tool for smoky eye; and makes blending a dream! I love using this in my crease and underneath the eye, it just works perfectly! I reviewed the entire Furless Cosmetics Must Have Professional Brush Kit here.

F8

Nail Product

ORLY Bonder

Since I started really taking care of my nails, I love to paint them more often. But I find that for some reason, and I don't know why, my manicures hardly last more than one day! I'm talking OPI and everything - one day! It must be something I'm doing wrong, or I've got the dreaded oily fingernail syndrome I've heard so much about. Until I found a cure, the ORLY Bonder! This is the perfect base for my manicures, and makes them last a lot longer!

F9

Skincare

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser *

Ever since receiving this, my skin has been very happy! I've never used a cleanser like this, and it did take a little while to get used to, but it certainly pays off. It's tricker than just slapping a makeup wipe across my face, but I've never seen my face cleaner! I've already this again, and will forever recommend this as the perfect cleanser to remove makeup!

Formula 10.0.6 Three Times Sublime 3 in 1 Blackhead Wash + Scrub + Mask

Oh this has to be one of my favourite things! I love to use this whenever I have a bath, as it's so much fun. It's a mask that you leave on, but it's totally gritty and so when you wash it off, it turns into a wash/scrub and exfoliates your face like mad! I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who doesn't love those truly gritty scrubs, though, as this one is intense!

F10

Perfume

Marc Jacobs Dot

This was such a favourite among beauty lovers this year when it was released. Not only is the bottle too cute, but the scent was absolutely gorgeous and oh so refreshing! I ended up plodding along with a few sample vials for most of the time until my boyfriend surprised me with a full sized bottle! Ever since, it's been the first pick many times!

F11

Hair Products

Michel Mercier Detangling Hair Brush

Although this is only a recent addition to my hair care routine, it's definitely one that will last! It's not often that I change brushes (I keep my brushes for years until they break, because I hate change!) so to add one into my daily routine willy nilly is definitely big! This one has changed my hair and made it so much less frizzy and tangled! I did a full review on this baby here.

Paul Brown Hawaii Hapuna Argan Oil *

I absolutely adore Argan Oil, but when I tried out the Paul Brown Hawaii Hapuna Argan Oil, my hair life was changed forever! This stuff is crazy smooth and smells amazing, and I have used it every day since I got it. I've already repurchased another full sized bottle for when this one runs out, but judging by the huge bottle, it won't be for a long time! It also has a pump which makes life so much easier! I wrote an entire review which you can read here.

--

And there we go, all of my favourites for the past year! It was so hard trying to pick my favourites, as well as trying to keep them different from last years favourites! I can't believe how many new products I tried out this year and loved - so hopefully I find a lot more in 2014!

Have you got a favourites post? If so, link me to it, I'd love to read it!
