December Bellabox

BB1

I'm definitely late in posting about the December Bellabox, and even considered skipping it altogether, but as December was supposed to be my last month for most of the subscription boxes I have, I figured I'd share my thoughts on the (what I thought would be) last Bellabox I received.

As you can see the box design has already changed from the November box (which you can see here) which was a bit of a disaster, and they've chosen a fairly simple design. I'm not sure if this will be permanent or not, but I sure do miss those reusable Bellabox boxes!

BB2

The card was pretty cute, I'll give them that.

BB3

The products I received in December.

BB4

Romy Shampoo & Conditioner

I'm always happy to receive a shampoo/conditioner combo, so I wasn't disappointed in this one. At least they aren't in sachets, so I'll get a few uses out of each bottle.

BB5

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Daily Calming Facial Lotion and Daily Cleansing Gel sachets

I've actually gotten these sachets free from Priceline on a few occasions, so I'm not too impressed seeing them here. These were supposed to be a bonus product, which I can say I'm happy about as I wouldn't be too happy knowing this is a product I'm meant to be paying for. I do like Palmer's Cocoa Butter though, but I've tried these products before so it will be nothing new.

BB6

Aurora Spa Rituals Vanilla & Honey Lip Moisturiser

A full size product is always appreciated, so it will definitely get used. I haven't heard of the brand before, but this is apparently worth $25 so it's definitely luxe.

BB7

Eau Thermale Avene Antirougeurs

Sigh, another Avene product. I have no idea what this is, and frankly I don't care all that much. These will get thrown into my bag of Avene samples I haven't tried, and maybe one day I'll test them out altogether. On a positive note though, at least this is one of their products I haven't received before?

BB8

Eslor sample sachets

These sachets are slightly bigger than usual, so at least there will be a bit more product involved. I haven't heard of this brand before but they do look promising. But in all honesty I'm not too happy in receiving two different brand's samples in sachet form.

BB9

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Icy Peach

I'm pretty happy to see another full sized product, and a lipstick at that. Icy Peach is a lovely colour, and I do actually like Mary Kay products so I'm pretty happy to get this.

BB10

Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover

I know I've received this before already, so again this is nothing new. I'm happy to see that it is at least a decent sized sample, so I'll get a lot of use out of it.

BB11

Bellabox Tote

This isn't a full sized tote, it's actually a mini sized tote which would probably fit a pair of shoes (maybe flats) so it's not huge! I think this is a cute addition, but being that it's on the smaller size, I probably won't get a lot of use out of it. Usually when I get these bags from Cotton On or something I end up using them for grocery shopping, but this is a tad too small for that. I'm sure I'll find something though!

Overall I have to say I wasn't all that impressed with the December Bellabox. After last year's Christmas Bellabox (which had a cute Christmas design and all, check it out here) which included a full sized, rather expensive palette, this was a pretty poor effort. I understand they can't be giving away expensive palettes every year, and it was lovely of them to do so last year, but this December they did not even mention Christmas? No candy cane even? C'mon! I mean I've been a subscriber of them for well over a year, it would have been nice to get at least one extra product on them, to say Merry Christmas (something that wasn't a sachet, perhaps?) so I was disappointed.

Unfortunately I missed the correct cut off times to cancel my subscription so I am getting another one this month, so I'll be interested to see how it compares to last month's. But the January box will definitely be my last. Although I requested my subscription to be cancelled at the end of December, I still haven't had confirmation of that so I'm hoping things go smoothly.

If you want to see the other (and in my personal opinion, better) variation of this box, check out Sarah's post over at More Than Adored; here.

Did you receive your December Bellabox? If so, what did you think?
