January Bellabox

BB1

I know I said I was cancelling my subscription boxes at the end of last year, but I missed out on the cancellation date by just a few days for Bellabox, so I had one last box show up on my doorstep!

BB2

The theme for this month was small changes for the new year.

BB3

All the products this month.

BB4

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask and Rich Hydrating Cream

As I've said before in previous posts, I'm getting a little tired of seeing Avene in my boxes, which was one of the many reasons I decided to cancel a few subscriptions. In saying that, I do like a few Avene products, so it's definitely not the quality I have a problem with, it's just too many samples to use! Although I was actually happy to get usable samples, both products I can use for travels!

BB5

Scandalous Rock Chick Wave Spray

This is a full sized product I believe, and definitely looks promising! I love having my hair wavy, but rarely buy products for styling my hair, so I'll definitely be putting this to use!

BB6

Vaseline Total Moisture Aloe Fresh Daily Light Lotion

My boyfriend and I actually use this religiously, so getting a sample size in a bottle is definitely helpful. We'll use this for travelling, definitely, or I may be sneaky and throw this into my handbag!

BB7

Model Co Fat Lash Volumising Black Mascara

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Another Model Co product. It's nice that we keep getting different products now, but I haven't really liked many of them that I've tried. (Various reasons that I won't go into here.) I'll definitely give this a go, and if anyone is interested in reading a full review, I'm happy to oblige.

BB8

INM Natural Manicure/Pedicure Nail File

I have so many of these it's not even funny, so I'll most likely pass this on to my sister or mum, who are always losing theirs.

BB9

Bonus Product: Banana Boat Every Day Sunscreen

I hate sachets as they are so annoying to use, but I'll throw this in my handbag just in case. I was a bit disappointed to get the SPF 30+ since 50+ has only just come out, but oh well, beggars can't be choosers!

--

Overall, I wasn't all that excited by the January Bellabox. I certainly didn't hate it, but there was nothing new that I was itching to try. This will be my last box for a while, I may decide to resubscribe when my samples start running low.

Have you received your Bellabox yet? If so, what did you think?

  2. I don't blame you for cancelling, IMO sample boxes are getting annoyingly repetitive with what the send to customers.

  4. I think I'm one of the few people that like the ModelCo FatLash Mascara haha! I got it for doing a 5 min ModelCo survey that was promoted on beautyheaven. It makes my lashes look like falsies. Although, it has become clumpy faster than other mascaras i've used so I won't be purchasing it...

  5. I also hate sachets, but tbh the 30+ sunscreen isn't likely to be too different in protection from the 50+.
In fact, most of the sunscreen sold in Australia was 50+ SPF but wasn't able to be labelled as such due to advertising restrictions. (The argument went that people would be more likely to get complacent / confused if they were using a sunscreen that was, say 50+ and would not re-apply / be as sun-smart as if it were 30+) They did just change the legislation, so now they can be labelled as 50+, but it's likely the strength is the same.

  6. Oh this box is sooo average! Beauty boxes seem to be becoming very monotonous these days. Does anyone even need to buy Avene these days, they send it out in sample boxes a lot!

  7. I really don't regret giving up my subscription, the samples have been getting more and more mediocre. :(

I do have that Rockstar product and it's a pretty good one!

  8. I have not tried this beauty box for I just try products based on reviews. I think its safer for my skin for I kinda have sensitive type of skin.

    1. Yeah that's probably a good idea, if your skin is sensitive then you'll probably get a lot of things in boxes that you can't use, so it'd be a waste :(

  9. I have never subscribed to any beauty box's but I don't think I will be any time soon as I have so many samples and sachets from magazines and I always forget about them so they hardly get used anyway.
