Valentine's Day Collaboration with Dazzlegloss3

VAL9

Ever since I attended the Melbourne Bloggers/Vloggers Meetup (which you can read about here) I've really been wanting to do some collaborations with other Melbourne bloggers! I was having a chat with the gorgeous Reshma who writes Dazzlegloss3, and we decided to do a Valentine's Day inspired collaboration!

Basically we decided to come up with an entire look. I did the makeup look, and the outfit, while Reshma created some gorgeous nail art and hair envy!

For my makeup look I decided to go very soft, and subtle. Despite the smokey eye being my go-to sexy look, I instead used lighter colours to create a pretty look!

Products I used:

Maybelline Baby Skin Pink
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Lover
Mirenesse Eye Primer
Sleek Makeup iDivine Palette in Good Girl
Lime Crime Fantasy Palette in Palette D'Antoinette
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner
NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Silver
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner
Maybelline One by One Volum'Express Mascara
Etude House Crystal Shine Lipstick

For Valentine's Day I like to go girly, so I went with a super girly look this year!

As for the dress, I chose this simple white stripped strapless dress from Dotti. I find the dresses from Dotti are super comfortable and flattering!

VAL2

For the shoes, I went with some gorgeous gold wedges from Zu Shoes. These were actually the shoes I was wearing when my boyfriend and I first got together, so they are sentimental to me!

VAL3

Stripes on stripes is usually not something I would do, but because the dress is so subtle I decided to go with this super cute Kate Hill clutch. Another sentimental item, as my boyfriend purchased this for me on one of our earlier dates! It's also not too small that it doesn't fit my phone and keys!

VAL4

Since I'm lacking a bit of body confidence, I always need something to drape over my shoulders. I decided to add this adorable shimmery shrug from Valleygirl. I love the detail of the gorgeous pearl bow, it definitely gives it that girly charm!

VAL5

For accessories I decide to match my shoes. The gold heart is from Lovisa, the bracelets are from Diva, the white bow ring and the gold diamond ring are both from Lovisa, and the crossed heart midi ring is from a previous Her Fashion Box; and the earrings were a Christmas gift a few years ago from my boyfriend!

--

I really enjoyed putting this look together! I would have put the outfit on for you, and taken pictures, but my tripod is still on the way to me! (I was hoping it would have arrived already, damn!) Also it was far too hot to put all this on - I didn't want to sweat all over it!

So what do you think of my Valentine's Day look? Do you like the girly aspect, or do you prefer a more sexy look?

--

Make sure you check out the other half of our look - the gorgeous manicure ideas and hairstyle - on Reshma's blog - here! She did a fantastic job, and I'm super jealous of her manicure skills! Thanks for collaborating with me Reshma, it was really fun creating a look with you!
