Dirty Works Brand Focus *

SC7

A little while ago, I was browsing through Coles and actually picked up a Dirty Works body scrub myself. I used it all up, and forgot about it. I was offered to try out a few other products from Dirty Works, and because I loved the first one I tried so much, I thought I'd give them a go!

I had heard of Dirty Works before as a UK based company that's fairly cost effective, so I was pretty excited when I saw these products in Aussie stores.

The first two products I tried out were body scrubs; the Life's A Beach Coconut Scrub and the Buff Your Stuff Body Scrub. I really like the packaging of both tubes, they're really eye catching and cute, and remind me a lot of Soap and Glory. (Which I'm sure is no mistake.)

Left - Life's A Beach Coconut Scrub, Right - Buff Your Stuff Body Scrub

As you can probably already guess, the Life's A Beach Coconut Scrub is coconut scented. The scent is very subtle and not over powering at all. I would say that the scent did not stay with me after I left the shower, but I think that could either be a positive or a negative depending on people's preferences. The scrub itself was pretty gritty but not overly so; I would describe this as a fairly gentle scrub that could be used daily.

The Buff Your Stuff Body Scrub has a far more neutral scent, as it contains almond oil and Shea butter. Those ingredients also make the scrub more creamy in texture, so it is a far more gentle scrub that the Life's A Beach Coconut Scrub. I love to use this one after I've shaved my legs, as it still exfoliates but is gentle enough not to aggravate my sensitive skin, as some scrubs can.

I also tried out the That Fiji Feeling Coconut Body Butter. Much like the Life's A Beach Coconut Body Scrub, this particular body butter has the same trademark coconut scent that's pleasing to the senses. It's not too overpowering at all, which means I can use this body butter right before bed without bothering the mister.

The body butter itself is fairly thick, but very smooth to apply. I found that it absorbed pretty quickly, and didn't leave any residue or stickiness that some body butters can. Although it's thick, I didn't find it too thick on the skin. I also still felt moisturised in the morning when I woke up - a mark of a good body butter in my personal opinion!

Overall, I was really pleased with the three products from Dirty Works that I tested out. The products are extremely cheap which each product costing under $10.00 each; and are readily available at your local Coles! They do have a few other products out in the range which I will be trying in future - next time I go grocery shopping! I may even do another brand focus for the remaining products I haven't mentioned today.

Dirty Works - cheap, effective and a delightful treat! Have you tried any of the Dirty Works products? If so, which ones? Did you like them?
