Concrete Minerals Sugar & Spice Collection

CM1

I've heard a lot about Concrete Minerals, so I decided it was time I give them a go! When browsing their website, I came across their cute sets, and I knew one of them had to be mine. I settled on the Sugar & Spice Collection, which includes four shades and a lip gloss. It also comes with a bonus tin that is just too adorable.

The box was presented beautifully when I received it. I've tried my best to keep it looking like this, but failing miserably.

From Left to Right: Lolita, Brat, Rocked, Wicked

In the pot, the colours do look a little bit different than they do on screen. The colours look a bit brighter and crazy, whereas in real life they are a little more tame and wearable! (Only a little, though!)
The pots are really good sized, and it's really easy to filter the product through and use. Sometimes without the little filter, loose product can be really difficult to use, so I'm happy with these pots!

Swatched! From Left to Right: Lolita, Brat, Rocked, Wicked

The first image is swatches used on bare skin with no primer. The second image is swatches on bare skin, but wet. I love to use these colours wet, because as you can see the colour comes through so much deeper and brighter. If you're after a subtle look, then dry is definitely fine, but to really get everything out of these colours I would definitely recommend using them wet.

In terms of staying power, I found both wet and dry, the colours stayed put all day. I didn't have any problems with fading or anything like that, so I was very impressed!

Sexy Lips Tint in Tease

At first, I didn't bother with the lip tint at all. I originally bought this kit for the eye shadows, the lip tint was just a cute little bonus. When I actually tried Tease, I was super impressed! While it is only a tint, the colour is still fairly bright and pigmented, and gives my lips an absolutely gorgeous look.

Swatched: Tease

I love the colour, which is described as hot pink with violet undertones on the Concrete Minerals website. It's so easy to put on, as it's just like a lip balm, but gives off a pretty decent amount of colour.

Overall, I have to say I'm really impressed with Concrete Minerals. The quality is amazing, and they have a huge range of colours to choose from. I purchased direct from the Concrete Minerals website here, which was pretty fast, but if you live in Australia there are a few other places you can grab their stuff; including Lipstick Republic here, and Berserk here. (Although this particular set is exclusive to the original Concrete Minerals website, it is also available on Berserk!)

I'm really happy with this kit. I do get a lot of use out of some of the colours, and would definitely buy some more in the future.

Have you tried Concrete Minerals yet? If so, what are your thoughts? What colours are your favourites?
