OPI Hawaii Collection*

OPI, OPI Hawaii Collection, Hawaii, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, OPI Hawaii,

With the temperature dropping outside, I've been dreaming of warmer locations. OPI has released their beautiful Hawaii collection; with a gorgeous range of bright colours to help feed my dreams of summer. I have obtained six shades from this lovely collection, and thought I would share.

OPI, OPI Hawaii Collection, Hawaii, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, OPI Hawaii,

I'm already a big fan of OPI. Their packaging is forever chic, and goes extremely well with the rest of my collection! This particular collection is full of bright shades.

OPI, OPI Hawaii Collection, Hawaii, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, OPI Hawaii,

Pineapples Have Peelings Too, This Color's Making Waves*, Hello Hawaii Ya*, Aloha From OPI*, Go With The Lava Flow*, My Gecko Does Tricks
OPI, OPI Hawaii Collection, Hawaii, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, OPI Hawaii,

Pineapples Have Peelings Too, This Color's Making Waves, Hello Hawaii Ya, Aloha From OPI, Go With The Lava Flow, My Gecko Does Tricks

As you can see, all six shades really do embody summer and make me feel like I'm on a tropical island! I loved that some shades had a shimmery finish, while others had a lovely creme finish. My personal favourites were This Color's Making Waves and Hello Hawaii Ya.

I absolutely fell in love with all the shades. Pineapples Have Peelings Too is actually a fairly unique shade, and something I don't think I've seen before. It's definitely unique to my collection, and something I can see myself wearing often. This Color's Making Waves is a gorgeous duo chrome shade, which definitely makes me think of the ocean. One of my favourites. Hello Hawaii Ya is fabulous, and totally gorgeous. This is not a colour I would traditionally associate with summer or the beach, but it's a beautiful shade nonetheless.  Aloha from OPI is lovely but not unique, but was super easy to work with. Go With The Lava Flow looks to be a fairly usual colour but upon closer inspection it does appear to be a bit different to other shades I have. My Gecko Does Tricks is a beautiful green shade, but was a tad hard to work with as it does go on fairly sheer.

--

There are twelve shades in this collection and I am loving the six shades I have already. I'll definitely be seeking out the other six and hopefully picking them up. As always, OPI has impressed me with their amazing shade choices as well as their excellent quality.

Have you tried anything from the OPI Hawaii Collection? If so, what were your thoughts? Which shade is your favourite?

Four of these shades were provided for consideration.

Ulta 3 Metallic Cream Eyeliners

Ulta 3, Ulta 3 Metallic Cream Eyeliners, Australian, Bbloggers

I picked up the brand new Ulta 3 Metallic Cream Eyeliners set last week, and I am so excited about this new release, I just had to share my thoughts! I'm always impressed with the new releases from Ulta 3; not only are the cost effective but they're also great quality. I picked these up for about $5.95 each.

Ulta 3, Ulta 3 Metallic Cream Eyeliners, Australian, Bbloggers

I absolutely love thee packaging. I think they've done a fantastic job at making these cream eyeliners look unique and different, whilst also maintaining a nice chic look that doesn't make them seem cheap at all. I like that the lids are see-through so you can pick your shade a lot easier. I do have a bit of a fear that the lids might fall off after a little while, so something to keep an eye on if you're travelling with them.

Her Fashion Box 2nd Birthday Box

HFB1

March marked the second birthday of one of my favourite on-going subscription boxes, Her Fashion Box. I've been with Her Fashion Box from the get-go, so it's somewhat satisfying to know I've collected two years worth of subscription boxes.

I haven't blogged about the past couple of boxes as I've had extremely frustrating problems with postage; but it looks like postage is back to normal now.

Hfb2

I was pretty excited to receive a birthday box, as I expected a little more than extra. I was delighted to see that one of my Instagram snaps had made it to the back page and had received a pretty good feature. Thanks, Her Fashion Box

Weekly Round Up

WRU

Another week has gone by, and this one has been incredibly busy for me! My boyfriend and I spent last weekend celebrating our six years together. We stayed at the beautiful Adelphi hotel in Melbourne for the night, and had a fantastic time. I'll be doing a bit of a recap of our stay possibly this week on my blog. We've also had my boyfriend's cousin staying with us this week, so it's been a little bit hectic in trying to get my blogging done on time when I'm trying to entertain! But somehow I managed!

Soda & Co Sugar Scrub in Orange Splash*

Soda & Co, Soda and Co, Sugar Scrub, Orange Splash, Sugar, Scrub, Bbloggers,

Before a few months ago, I had never actually heard of the brand Soda & Co; which meant I had no idea what I was missing out on. I received the Soda & Co Sugar Scrub in Orange Splash at an event, and I've been using it almost non-stop since!

Soda & Co, Soda and Co, Sugar Scrub, Orange Splash, Sugar, Scrub, Bbloggers,

The first thing I noticed about Soda & Co is their gorgeously cute packaging. I found the tin to be a little hard to open with wet hands, so maybe open it a tad before you start.

ORLY GelFX Nails*

ORLY, GELFX, Gel Nails, Manicure, Mani, NOTD, BBloggers,

I'm a total sucker for a pretty nail polish (which is probably why I have well over 100 bottles) and one of my favourite brands to collect is ORLY. I've been a big fan of ORLY since I first tried their products a few years ago, and I haven't looked back.

I've seen a few shades from the ORLY GelFX range; their in-house range of gel polishes, and when I was given the chance to try them out, I jumped!

OR2

This little collection contains six new shades available as a gel polish. All six shades are incredibly bright and beautiful, and were perfect for the warmer months. (Neons are also a great way to spice up the winter months too!)

This was also a chance for me to finally try out a UV lamp I have recently acquired, and so these would be my first official gel manicures!

Lush "Save The Reef" Campaign Event

LUSH, Lush Cosmetics, Save The Reef, Events, Bbloggers,

Last Wednesday night, I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the Lush Save The Reef Campaign event. Lush were holding these events across a few of their Melbourne stores, so I opted to attend the Melbourne Central store to learn more.

As you can probably imagine from a campaign name such as "Save The Reef," this one was literally all about saving the reef - the Great Barrier Reef, that is. I was lucky enough to grow up in beautiful sunny Queensland but never had the chance to actually visit this spectacular place. In the back of my head I always imagined I would visit and see all the amazing bright colours. I was absolutely horrified to hear what the Great Barrier Reef is headed to, and you should be too.

LUSH, Lush Cosmetics, Save The Reef, Events, Bbloggers,

Above is an artist rendition of what we believe the Great Barrier Reef will look like by 2050. That's a pretty scary idea. I learnt at this event that a lot of this is due to carbon pollution produced by us and our government. To me, that's even scarier. Lush have teamed up with 1 Million Women; an organisation created to try and help combat this. They are currently asking for signatures to help stop the pollution and destruction of the Great Barrier Reef. I signed the petition on Wednesday, you can sign here.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution*

Bioderma, French, Skincare, Cosmetics, Makeup remover, Bbloggers,

A few years ago, I received a sample size of one of one of the Bioderma variations in a subscription box. When I tried it, it made my skin red and itchy, and I broke out. Since then, I was a firm believer that Bioderma just wouldn't work for me.
When I received this variation, which is specifically for sensitive skin, I was still really hesitant to try it.

Bioderma, French, Skincare, Cosmetics, Makeup remover, Bbloggers,

I decided to give this one a go as I was looking for a quick fix to remove my makeup and had actually run out of makeup removing wipes. I applied a little bit to a cotton pad and started to remove my makeup. I was surprised at how easily it removed my makeup, even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. That being said, I was still hesitant that any minute I would start turning red and blotchy.

The Best Blemish Busters

Blemish Busters, Acne, Skincare, Skin Problems, Bbloggers, Fixaderm, The Body Shop, Tea Tree,

My sister and I always suffered from bad skin growing up. When I say bad skin, I'm talking about acne, as well as more major skin troubles like abscesses. This meant we were always trying the latest thing to get rid of our acne and blemishes, usually without much luck. Over the years I have found a very few number of things that actually work for me, and majority of these things have tea tree in common.

Tea tree has amazing bacterial fighting properties, and is all natural, which makes it the perfect weapon against blemishes. Of course this is all just going from personal experience. Anyone who has experienced skin blemishes will know that something different will work for everyone, so it's just best to try things out until you find something that works.

Blemish Busters, Acne, Skincare, Skin Problems, Bbloggers, Fixaderm, The Body Shop, Tea Tree,

Today I'll be talking about three products that contain tea tree oil that have really helped my skin issues in the past, and continue to today. All three are easily accessible in Australia and are pretty cheap, too.

The Balm, TheBalm, Cindy-Lou Manizer, Illuminiser, Highlighter, Bbloggers, Cosmetics,

Every girl needs a little illumination in her life, but The Balm has answered our prayers with the adorable Cindy-Lou Manizer. I received this in a blog swap a little while ago with a fellow blogger, and since then I've fallen in love with it.

The Balm, TheBalm, Cindy-Lou Manizer, Illuminiser, Highlighter, Bbloggers, Cosmetics,

The Balm always releases the most amazing packaging, and Cindy-Lou Manizer is no exception to that. There's also another variant to the "manizer" range; called Mary-Lou Manizer, which is more of a soft golden illuminator.

There are such a huge variety of products now available to help you to pamper yourself at home, so I wanted to share some of my new-found favorite products to give you that home spa feeling.

I've tried a few products from Sanctuary Spa in the past, and I've always been incredibly impressed. High end feeling products at pharmacy prices, what's not to love.

Sanctuary Spa, Clay Mask, Toner, Pore Refiner, Skincare

I've been trialing out three products lately; the Exfoliating Pore Refiner, the 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask and the Pore Refining Toner. By using these three products, I've created myself an easy and effective spa routine at home.

Weekly Round Up

Weekly Round Up, Australis, Revitanail, Empties, Ulta 3

Happy Easter everyone!

Yet another week has passed me by, but this one was an incredibly quick one! I am lucky enough to be enjoying a four day weekend, meaning this past week has been a short and sweet one. This week has been a busy one though. Monday was the final day of my training at work, which means I'm officially in a different role. Exciting stuff.

Today also marks six years of being with my boyfriend! We've experienced a lot of happy and sad memories together, but I wouldn't change any of them for the world. We're celebrating our anniversary next weekend by staying in a hotel (which is doubling as a belated birthday present for me as my boyfriend was incredibly sick when it was actually my birthday.) I have a feeling next Weekly Round Up will be very eventful!
