Shanghai Suzy Gothic Chic Collection*

Shanghai Suzy Gothic Chic Collection Review and Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

A little while ago, Aussie brand Shanghai Suzy released their new shades for Autumn Winter. They also released four stunning shades in a limited edition Gothic Chic collection. I was lucky enough to get my hands on all four of these beautiful shades, and I have been very excited to share them with you all.

There are four beautiful shades included in this collection - Midnight, Dove, Goldie and Emerald. All four shades are totally out of the ordinary, and not something you would see every day. I love Shanghai Suzy lipsticks in general, so I'm delighted to see that they would create unique colours.

Shanghai Suzy usually tend to go with a matte finish but in this collection they have delved into a shimmery sheer finish; which I think they've mastered really well.

Swatches: Midnight, Dove, Goldie, Emerald

As you can see, the swatches are all fairly pigmented and look great on the skin. All colours are buildable, but Midnight and Dove are the most pigmented shares out of the four. Goldie and Emerald have a sheer shimmer finish and can be built up, or worn as a more subtle shade.

Swatches: Midnight, Dove, Goldie, Emerald

I found that Midnight was a tad difficult to work with, although every black lipstick I've used in the past has been difficult purely due to it's dense shade. Any mistake shows up so clearly. This is definitely one of the more pigmented blacks I have tried, so I was impressed. Dove was absolutely stunning - although it did require a bit of build up to get a nice solid colour. It has a lovely matte finish which makes it ultra long lasting, too. Goldie is a very unique shade, and it is a very sheer shade. This is probably something I wouldn't wear too often, only as it's not so great with my pale skin, but I can imagine this would look amazing on tanned ladies. Emerald is a very gorgeous shimmery green, it also required a bit of build up to get a richer payoff in colour, but it's definitely worth it.

Being a bit of a goth lover myself (let's not talk about my teen years, okay?) this collection really called out to me. It helped me channel my inner teen goth in a super chic way!

This entire collection is only $30 (yes, for all four shades!) and you can grab it from Rouche Boutique! You can use my code: SWEETAHOLIC for a discount, too!

Have you tried the Shanghai Suzy Gothic Chic Collection? If so, what are your thoughts? Which shade is your favourite? Would you wear any of these?
