Faby Nails Vive la France Collection*

Faby Nails Vive La France Collection Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

Vive La France! It's Bastille Day, a day that commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution. Two of my best friends are completely France-mad (they really like Les Miserables, okay?) so today's post is dedicated to them.

Gorgeous nail brand Faby Nails released a beautiful French-inspired collection to celebrate Bastille Day this year, and I was lucky enough to try out all of the shades.

I was so excited when I received these shades. It's winter here in Melbourne, and all shades are absolutely perfect for the colder months. I suspect some very beautiful manicures this season!

Paris... By Night, Teint de Niege, Mona Lisa Smiled At Me, La vie en Rose, Every Woman is Chic, Coup de Theatre, Euphoria in a Glass

I was delighted when I swatched these; all shades are beautifully pigmented and really show up well. They all have a very lovely gloss finish which is easy to work with. I feel like Faby Nails really hit home with these totally appropriate shade names. So very chic!

Paris... By Night, Teint de Niege, Mona Lisa Smiled At Me, La vie en Rose, Every Woman is Chic, Coup de Theatre, Euphoria in a Glass, Super not-lame-at-all nail art

For these shades, I found that on the actual nail, I needed at least three coats before I got a nice clear finish. Some of the darker colours were a little harder to work with, applying a little streaky at first, but with a second and third coat all was well in the world and not a streak to be seen. My personal favourites were Mona Lisa Smiled At Me; a gorgeous coral red, La vie en Rose; a lovely peachy shade, and Euphora in a Glass; an oh so in trend burgundy shade. I also had a little play around to create a little French flag with these shades - don't laugh!

Overall, I'm in love with this beautiful Vive la France collection from Faby Nails. This is my first time trying Faby Nails and I was impressed with the quality. The brush sizes were on the bigger size which did make application a little tricky for nail novices like me. If you don't mind having to clean up afterwards, though, it's not so bad.

Each colour is beautiful, chic and oh so French. What do you think of this collection? Which colour is your favourite? Have you tried Faby Nails before?

Happy Bastille Day everyone!
