Mary Kay Midnight Jewels Collection*

Mary Kay Midnight Jewels Collection Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

When I first saw the media release for the new Mary Kay Midnight Jewels collection, I fell in love. This winter I've been really digging purples and greens, and this collection is full of them. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few goodies from this range, so I wanted to share my first impressions.

Mary Kay Midnight Jewels Collection Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

Mary Kay Semi-Matte Lipsticks in Pink Moonstone and Ruby Night

These have a semi-matte finish, as the name suggests, and are super comfortable to wear on the lips. They have a very creamy application, which makes them easy to apply. I adore the shades they've released, both are perfect for winter.

Mary Kay Lip Shimmer in Pearl Rose

This is such a pretty lip gloss. I didn't find this one sticky or too wet, and it sat nicely on my lips. While the shade looks very pink in the tube, it's actually very transparent and just gives off a lovely light shimmer. Perfect to wear over Pink Moonstone!

Mary Kay Eye Colour Palette in Emerald Noir

This is a great collection of greens and bronzes, and look so lovely together. I've been loving the top shade, and the center shade. All shades are highly pigmented, buttery smooth and very easy to work with.

Mary Kay Eye Colour Palette in Sapphire Noir

This may look like two separate palettes, but this is actually in the same compact, just underneath the first palette. I was a bit excited by the novely of this - so good for travelling!

I loved this palette when I saw it, the deep purples and greys look so unique together. My favourites are the darker purple and the lighter grey. These shades are also highly pigmented, even the lighter purple which was a pleasant surprise.

My set also came with this beautiful little makeup bag. The colour is very unique and pretty, and it's a good size too. I've used this as a clutch purse a few times this winter already.

I love this collection - I think it's a very beautifully designed collection and is just perfect for the colder months. My favourites are the lipsticks, as I will get most wear out of them; particularly Pink Moonstone which is the perfect shade for me.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm loving greens and purples this winter, so I've already gotten a fair few uses out of these palettes! I'll try to create some makeup looks using these palettes, if anyone would like to see.

This particular collection is also limited edition, so I'd make sure to pop over to Mary Kay very soon if you're looking to grab any of these goodies.

Have you tried anything from the Mary Kay Midnight Jewels collection? If so, what did you think? Does this look like the kind of collection you would buy from?
