Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

Come winter, my lips have a mind of their own. Chapped and painful, not a lot seems to help keep them under control. Whilst I usually take good care of my lips, when it gets too cold nothing really helps keep the dry patches and lip splits that plague me during the winter months at bay.

I had been researching and finally come across the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. The internet is crawling with positive reviews for this baby, so I decided to pick it up.

The packaging probably isn't for everyone; but I don't mind it whatsoever. Packed into a little glass tub, you do need to stick your finger into the product to actually use it.

Upon opening the tub, I'm greeted with a very subtle citrus scent. I find it subtle enough that I don't really notice it once I apply it. The lip balm is more of a salve, and is very thick. I only need the smallest amount to spread on my lips. Once applied to my fingertip, I realised it has a bit of a smooth peanut butter texture - which is a weird way to describe a lip balm, but probably the best way I could describe it. It does have a little bit of a grainy feeling once applied to my lips, but I found that once you start applying, the balm melts into your lips easily and the grainy feeling goes away.

After using this for a few weeks, I can honestly say I'm pleased with the results. As the balm is rather thick and heavy on the lips, I prefer to use this directly before bed so that my lips are nice and supple by the morning. I also found that if I use this before applying a matte lipstick, my lips are far less damaged by the end of the day.

After spending the last few winters with incredibly dry and chapped lips - to the point where they would indeed bleed - using the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm has really changed my life. Whilst I still get a few small dry patches, it's nothing that a quick lip scrub won't fix up.

I'm really impressed with the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. Having read so many positive reviews on this balm, I was trying not to get my hopes up too high. I'm pretty happy that not only did the lip balm meet my expectations of being a nice lip balm, but exceeded them by being my new Holy Grail balm. Whilst this is a pretty expensive product at $19.95, it's totally worth every cent.

Have you tried the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm before? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you have a Holy Grail balm?
