Face of Australia Kajal Eyeliner Stix - Review & Swatches

Face of Australia Kajal Eyeliner Stix - Review & Swatches

I little while ago I was browsing the aisles of Priceline when I noticed that Face of Australia have a few new products on the shelves - including the Kajal Eyeliner Stix. I hadn't heard any of these new products as yet, so naturally I had to grab the entire collection. For review purposes. Of course.

The limited edition collection includes six beautiful jewel colours; all of the names are ancient Egypt themed. All of the colours are incredibly bright and beautiful, and all in all it's just a really fun looking collection.

Pharaoh, Isis, Anubus, Horus, Ra, Osiris

I really love the shades however I was a tad disappointed in the packaging. Sadly one of the eyeliners broke apart and the lid was stuck on it, so it was impossible to actually use. I used super glue to put it back together which worked fine, but made the packaging look not-so-pretty. I would also recommend keeping these babies in the fridge during the warmer weather as the formula is very soft. In saying that, it makes them a dream to use when they're not melty.

Osiris, Ra, Horus, Anubus, Isis, Pharaoh

As you can see, the colours are very bright and pigmented. One thing that my photography didn't really show was the gorgeous duo-chrome shades. Osiris and Isis have very gorgeous golden undertones which look amazing! As these eyeliners are very soft and easy to use, they can be smudged to be used as an eyeshadow as well.

I really do like these eyeliner stix, but I don't see them being very long lasting as what you see is what you get. There isn't any more product inside the packaging, so once you start wearing the point down it's going to make it hard to use.

In saying that however, these babies are only $5.95 each so it's not too bad.

Overall this collection is definitely fun, and the colours are all gorgeous and wearable. They are easy to use and not expensive. Definitely a thumbs up from me if you're willing to go the extra mile to fix the packaging if - hopefully not - you get a dud.

Have you tried the Face of Australia Kajal Eyeliner Stix yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Which shade is your favourite?
