Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

A few weeks ago, I sauntered into Mecca and went on a bit of a spending spree. One thing I decided to pick up was the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. I hadn't been tempted by the much hyped Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, and I hadn't really heard very good reviews about the blush palette, however I decided to try it out myself in store. I was so smitten that it came home with me.

I do love how chic and pretty the packaging looks. I feel like this packaging really does has a Gwen Stefani feel to it, which I love. I was also impressed at how thick and sturdy the packaging feels, but not surprised considering the brands reputation.

The palette itself comes with six large pan shades. I actually love how diverse the shades are, and aren't just all pink blush shades. Many of the shades could be used as highlighters, too.

As I'm fairly pale, I feel like pretty much all of the shades will work for me in one way or another. I feel like girls with darker skin may have trouble with Lo-Fi and Hush as they have a more matte finish and tend to not be overly pink.

My favourite shades would have to be Easy and Angel; and they are easily the most pigmented shades. I found that all shades were buttery smooth and very easy to work with. I feel like most of the complaints I have heard have been in regards to the pigmentation. Personally I like my blush to be subtle, as I find it easier to work with and less blending required - however I can understand the complaints. Thankfully I find that the subtle shades work really well for me.

I'm actually a fan of this blush palette and not at all sorry that I purchased it. Even though it is on the pricier side, I think it's a lovely range of colours, especially for pale skin gals like myself - and the colours are fairly diverse. I would definitely recommend swatching before buying, just to be safe.

Have you tried the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Have you tried anything else from this collaboration?
