Dusty Girls Brand Focus - Review & Swatches*

Dusty Girls Brand Focus Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

Mid last year, I was contacted by Aussie brand Dusty Girls and asked to try out their products. I tried out two of their complexion products and have reviewed them, but have now been offered the opportunity to try out a few other products. I was sent two eyeshadows and two lipsticks, so I thought I would share my thoughts.

In my previous post, I talked a little bit about Dusty Girls' ethics and ingredients, so I won't repeat myself but long story short, they are amazing. I'm always incredibly proud to feature ethically produced, natural products that have come from right here in Australia.

I was sent two eyeshadow shades; Summer Tan and Dark Cacao. These eyeshadows are pressed mineral shadows with natural ingredients such as vitamin E and jojoba oil. At this stage, Dusty Girls only have four shades available. All four shades are neutral and easily wearable.

I was surprised that while the pan looks so small, you in fact get 2g of products which is more than a standard eyeshadow pan. These cost $15.50 each.

I was also sent two gorgeous lipsticks. I received Guava Pink and Maca Nude. I was impressed with the packaging, as it's clearly made from some kind of cardboard rather than all plastic. These lipsticks are completely vegan, and edible, and also include jojoba oil and vitamin E. Again, at this stage Dusty Girls only have five shades released, and they tend to be classic shades.

I was also impressed to hear that you get an entire 5g worth of lipstick. These retail at $19.50 each.

Swatched: Summer Tan, Dark Cacao, Guava Pink, Maca Nude

Each swatch is two-three swipes each. As you can see, each shade is super pigmented and easily buildable. I was impressed with the eyeshadows in particular, as they applied so smooth and blending was a dream. The lipsticks were more sheer at first application, but built to a gorgeous solid shade very quickly. I found them to be very lightweight on the lips, and incredibly nourishing.

I'm actually really excited about the eyeshadows and lipsticks from Dusty Girls, and so happy they have allowed me to try out more of their range. They also sell foundation, blusher, bronzer, lip gloss and other products, so I'm keen to try out more now.

Have you tried anything from Dusty Girls yet? If so, what are your thoughts?
