Irresistible Me Ruby Auto-Rotating Curling Iron*

Irresistible Me Ruby Auto-Rotating Curling Iron Trialled & Tested - Sweetaholic Beauty

If you know me, then you'll know I love playing with my hair. I'm always dying it, cutting it and styling it. But doing different styles takes a lot of work, and unless I'm on holidays, I'll usually just leave my hair natural. Having my hair curly is one of my favourites, so when I was offered the chance to try out the Irresistible Me Ruby Auto-Rotating Curling Iron, I found it a bit too hard to resist.

The Ruby comes in a chic black box including the device itself, as well as any important information and safety information. I was pretty excited to receive this, as it looks so elegant.

The inside of the box also includes all the important information, and was where I discovered I would need a power adapter. Considering this is a company based in the US, I'm not sure why I didn't consider that earlier. So, sadly for me, I had to wait at least a week before I could use it as I was working late and unable to go into a store to buy a power adapter.

The device itself is just gorgeous. I love the simple yet elegant design. The black features look stunning, and means it'll be easier to keep clean. I was surprised at how lightweight the device itself felt in my hands. The barrel itself is ceramic but fused with tourmaline; which helps keep moisture locked in - which means no more frizz.

I loved the features on the Ruby. It comes with a LED screen that shows you what temperature you're currently on, as well as perfectly placed buttons to increase and decrease if you please. The left and right curling buttons are also easy to see and placed for easy access.

I found the clamp a little frustrating at first, as it was so short and doesn't open all the way unless it's facing the correct side. However once I got the hang of using the Ruby, this wasn't a problem at all. After playing around I actually found the shorter clamp easier to work with.

Natural Hair - Curled Hair - Curls Brushed Out

My hair is not any kind of pretty colour at the moment, so please don't mind it. In the first picture, this is my hair naturally. No product, no straightening and air dried. The second picture is when I've curled my hair and have not brushed it out. The left side I tried bigger, bolder curls, whilst the right side I tried looser curls. The third and final picture is of the curls brushed out (big curls on the left, loose curls on the right) and is actually my preferred look.

I was super impressed with the Ruby. Usually it takes me roughly an hour to curl my hair, as it's so thick and bushy, however with the Ruby I found the time was cut down by about half. This is excellent news for me, because if I'm desperately wanting curls throughout the week, I can probably manage it with this curler. At first I found the auto-rotation to be a bit daunting and scary to use, but once I got the hang of it, it was a dream. I've been very impressed with how lightweight and soft it's left my hair, too.

Overall I'm a big fan of the Ruby. There's a lot of different looks you could create with this device, and it's so much easier than traditional curling. I would highly recommend anyone who loves curling their hair to try this one out.

Have you tried out the Irresistible Me Ruby Auto-Rotating Curling Iron yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you like styling your hair?

  3. It's a very sleek product. I still use my straightener to curl my hair but I don't usually style my hair so I don't use it much. Your curls look very pretty though!
