I have definitely noticed an increase in likes and follows since I started really concentrating on putting up decent, well-lit and structured pics instead of any old rubbish snap. Getting things organised in advance and setting aside time to do photos has also helped. Apparently someone decides whether to follow you within seven seconds on average of looking at your profile page so it's important to keep that top 9 looking sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love your Instagram so thanks for sharing, Jasmine. My main concern always is what hashtags to use as I still haven't figured out the ones which really work but I guess it is more about quality like you said. :) x

Good work on this post lovely. It's awesome to see helpful posts like yours xx
ReplyDeleteGreat tips. My pet peeve is when people tag incorrectly. When I'm trying to look at pictures of a new palette and I instead get pictures of sandwiches and toads!!! GRRRR!
ReplyDeleteGreat tips, I love reading posts like this! I thought posting a lot (sometimes I do 6 a day, sometimes just 1) would put people off but I'm finding the opposite. And since I've started ensuring my photos look better, I've started getting more followers. I found it hard to work out what hashtags to use, so I basically copied down the ones other beauty bloggers used and tried those! Haha :)

Thanks hun. They most certainly are, if I can't clearly see what it is, I'm passing on that double tap haha xx
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome! And yes I had heard that as well, which is a bit scary haha xx
ReplyDeleteAww thanks so much. Hashtags are definitely hard, but once you figure out which ones work best, it becomes a lot easier! xx
ReplyDeleteOh sorry for the late reply. It's a Samsung Galaxy Smart Camera.. it's zoom is insane haha so I love to use it for travelling! xx

Great tips! I agree with the importance of taking clear and bright photos. Dark and blurry photos are a turn off on Instagram..

Totally agree about the good quality snaps! So many blurry pictures make it to IG and it's unfollow worthy ha!
ReplyDeleteYou can't use more than 30 on a pic, not sure when but Instagram even comes up with a red warning when you try more than 30. I've been trying to tweak those along with your other tips :)
ReplyDeleteawesome tips babe DF xoxo
