Zoeva Cosmetics En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette

A little while ago, I went shopping and decided to pick up the Zoeva Cosmetics En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette from the Melbourne Sephora store. I had been eyeing this one off for a while but they never had it in stock - until now.

The palette itself is actually stunning. How pretty is the design? I personally hadn't read any reviews about this palette as yet, but have had good experiences with a previous palette I purchased.

The En Taupe eyeshadow palette comes with ten gorgeous shades; five matte shades and five shimmer shades. I fell in love with the shimmer hades in particular. After swatching at home, I was a bit disappointed in the matte shades, but was pretty happy with the pigmentation of the shimmer shades.

My favourite shades were Handmade and Outline, as they are both gorgeous shades. I also really like Wrapped in Silk as well. I think the best matte shade would have to be Old Master, which is the most pigmented.

Stitch by Stitch, Handmade, Gallery, Hour by Hour, Old Master
Spun Pearl, Sheers & Voiles, Outline, Wrapped in Silk, Exquisite

Above swatches were three layers each, no eyeshadow primer.

As you can see, the pigmentation for the matte shades are not very strong. The shimmer shades, on the other hand, are incredibly and are my new favourites. The shimmer shades are perfect for a nice autumn/winter look, so I can't wait to experiment with them a bit more.

I'm not sure if this palette is 100% worth the Aussie pricetag, considering the matte shades aren't that great. I don't regret that I purchased it, as I can still use all the gorgeous metallic shades - I will try and use the matte shades as some of them aren't too bad.

Have you tried the Zoeva Cosmetics En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette before? If so, what are your thoughts?
