June Favourites

June Favourites - Sweetaholic Beauty

I seriously cannot believe yet another month has flown by. I ended up being stuck in bed for two weeks with a very sore back so that has probably helped in making my month feel shorter. I struggled with my favourites a lot this month as I felt like I didn't really try anything different.

Just a few of the products I've been enjoying this month, but these were very obviously favourites of mine.

I don't usually mix up my makeup all that much, but since moving I've been shopping my stash a little bit. This month I rekindled my love for the MUA Professional Undress Me Palette. I was in love with this palette when I first purchased it, and I feel if I keep using it I may actually succeed in hitting pan. It's really pigmented and just an easy palette in general to use.

I've also been trying to mix up my lip products, as I find in winter I shy away from products as my lips are usually too dry. I've been loving the Mirenesse Lip Bomb so far. These products are a bit weird; they're described as being a "glossy lacquer stain" which is probably the best thing to call it. I find that this sits nicely on my lips, doesn't wear off easily and isn't sticky. It's a win-win, plus it's a gorgeous shade, too. Sadly there is no shade name on the tube.

When I first received the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil-In-Cream* I didn't think I'd like it much. Leave in treatments usually weigh my already oily hair down, and make me feel gross. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how lightweight this formula is, but I was even more excited when I discovered how smooth and beautiful my hair looked when I was using it. This has definitely become a favourite of mine.

In June I took the Boots Laboratories Optiva Skincare Two Week Challenge to see if my skin could look better in just two weeks. I was oh so impressed with the Boots Laboratories Optiva Radiance Refresh Toner* that I kept using it.

I mentioned before that my lips get fairly dry in winter time, and usually, I don't realise until it's too late and they're too far gone. This year I've started taking care of my lips early on in the hopes of preventing damage. I've been using the Lush Cosmetics Popcorn Lip Scrub and cannot believe I forgot how much I loved using this. Already my lips are feeling lipstick ready almost all the time.

Non-beauty related favourites here, so if you don't like it, skip ahead now. I've been really into television at the moment - not surprising seeing as though I spent two weeks stuck in bed - and I got really into a new show called Preacher. It's based on a graphic novel of the same name, and I have to say I'm enjoying this depiction. I won't spoil it, but I would recommend checking it out.

I also have been unpacking all my pretty things, including my candles. I had forgotten how delicious the Saki Scents Vanilla Caramel candle* is. I've been loving having this lit on a cold winter's night as it just makes the atmosphere more inviting.
