Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipstick Collection Review & Swatches*

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipstick Collection Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

Rimmel London has been pretty awesome with some of their new releases, so when I saw their new lipstick range, I was pretty darn excited. I was lucky enough to receive five out of the six shades of the new Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipstick collection. I loved the collection so much I went out and grabbed the final shade myself.

I would describe the new Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipstick (whoa, what a mouthful) as more of a lipstick and lipgloss hybrid. The six shades apply semi-sheer to the lips, but can be built up to almost a full colour of a lipstick.

Better & Brighter, Spin All Spring, Red-y Set Go, Pink Rules, Woke Up Like This, Glow-rious Pink

These lipsticks actually include a pretty cool mix of ingredients to help keep your lips hydrated, which means you won't have to worry about chapped lips at the end of the day. I also adore the scent of these lipsticks - just sayin'.

In the above swatches, I have shown three swipes each. On my arm, they appear to be a good amount of pigmentation with just a dash of sheer. They do appear a bit frosty but that's just the moisturising aspect of it.

As you can see from above, these lipsticks do go on sheerer than expected. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I first applied them, as I was expecting them to be even more sheer than they are. To me, they wear like a lipgloss or balm, as they are incredibly moisturising on the lips. They don't really cling to dry patches but glide over them. I also found them to be incredibly easy to apply, specifically for the lighter shades.

I think the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipsticks are just gorgeous. While the colours are perfect for the summer months, the very idea of the product is perfect for winter. I've been wearing these on and off since I got them, so I'm pretty happy with them all.

Have you tried the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine Lipsticks as yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Do you have a favourite shade?
