July Favourites

July Favourites - Sweetaholic Beauty

Another stupidly stressful month has passed, and I still can't believe we're past the mid-year mark. This month my favourites were a little easier to distinguish as I found a few new loves, and rediscovered some old loves too.

Just a few of my favourites this past month.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a few events over the past few months, which meant I was gifted a lot of new goodies to play with. To start off with, I've fallen in love with the L'Oreal False Lash Wings Sculpt Mascara* and it has become a daily favourite. The applicator is a tad strange but it's easy to get used to. This mascara claims to tight line, which I feel it has the ability to do that but I found it a bit messy. This mascara has definitely been one the best at coating my entire lash. You can actually read more about the L'Oreal goodies I got here.

I also fell in love with the new Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Nude Thrill*. This has become my go-to MLBB shade, and it's so easy to apply. These lipsticks are also a bit odd, in that they don't go true matte straight away. But the formula has grown on me, and this has become a favourite. You can read more about these new releases, and others from Maybelline, here

Benefit Hoola has always been a favourite of mine when it comes to bronzer - this non-muddy and easy to use bronzer is perfect for an everyday look. Since moving I have steered clear of any full on makeup looks, as most of my makeup is still in the process of being sorted through - but I couldn't resist grabbing this and falling in love all over again.

July Favourites - Sweetaholic Beauty

I've been struggling with back problems since June, so I've been experimenting with ways to combat the pain I've been feeling. Everything from heat packs to medications, to warm baths. One of the best ways I have found to help me relax, whilst also helping with my back pain, is good old Bathox Lavender Bath Foam & Shower Gel. I grew up on this stuff - whenever you were sick, hop in a bath with this stuff and you'll feel ready for sleep.

Another amazing product I've discovered, the Clarisonic Mia 2*. I was gifted this as part of a masterclass, and I have to say since using it I haven't looked back. My skin has never looked better, and I'm totally hooked. I'll be doing a full review on this baby in the upcoming weeks so keep your eyes peeled!

July Favourites - Sweetaholic Beauty

On to my non-beauty related obsessions this month. You'll read this thinking I'm a bit of a nerd, but if you've been keeping up with my previous non-beauty related favourites, then this should not come as a shock to you. I'm a tad obsessed with Netflix, and so when I saw they released a new show called Stranger Things, I began binge watching immediately. The totally cool 80's theme brought me back to my childhood, and I ended up watching the entire season in 2 days. This show was basically the definition of "up my alley" and so I'm very keen for the next season.

And unless you're living under a rock, you will have heard about Pokemon Go. As a Pokemon lover - always have been - I was pretty excited when this game was released in Australia. I wasn't expecting it to be so much fun, though, and I certainly wasn't expecting it to be free. Considering my workplace is a Pokestop, I'll never have to buy extra Pokeballs! And that is absolute gibberish to you unless you play the game!
