July Lip Monthly*

July Lip Monthly - Sweetaholic Beauty

It's that time of the month again - time for Lip Monthly. I was lucky enough to have been sent this monthly subscription service, so I thought I would share what's inside this month's bag.

July Lip Monthly - Sweetaholic Beauty

This months bag was summer themed - probably as it is summer on the other side of the world at the moment. The bag design is rather cute!

This month's bag contained four full sized products. We received three lip products and one eyeshadow.

This month's bag was actually a little more value than the previous boxes, retailing at just a little over $74. Some of the products seem a tad expensive, but I'm not complaining.

Three out of four of the products were actually darker in shade, which is surprising considering it's a summer themed bag. The first item we received was the City Color City Chic lipstick in Heartbreaker. This is a super creamy lipstick and application was a dream. Another darker shade, we got the Mirabella Lipstick in Cherry Shine. This was the expensive lipstick, and frankly, I don't think it's worth the pricetag. The shade wasn't overly pigmented, but it was very moisturising. There are certainly cheaper alternatives on the marked.

We also got the Cougar Plumper, which is a clear lip plumper. I've only tried this on my lips once and I think it worked alright - but nothing overly special. It's fairly sticky and sits a bit tacky on the lips. The non-lip related product was a gorgeous shimmer eyeshadow pigment from Bella Pierre. This shade was a pretty purple shade called Cinnabar.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this Lip Monthly. I find the colour choices a tad strange considering the theme for this month was summer, but considering it's winter here, I'm sure they'll suit fine. You can read last month's post here.

  4. Unfortunately I didn't get this months bag, but that City Chic lipstick is a great colour, not summer-ish at all though, great for the Aussie winter ;)
