My Mini Mid-Week Pamper

My Mini Mid-Week Pamper - Sweetaholic Beauty

Everyone loves to relax and have a good pamper session. I've been having a stressful couple of weeks, so I've begun giving myself a bit of a mid-week pamper time to try to make myself feel a bit better. I thought I would share a few of my favourite products and rituals to help me feel glam while still feeling comfortable and relaxed.

I always start with having a nice hot bath. Baths are perfect for relaxation. I use more than a few different bath salts, bubble baths, bath bombs and other bath goodies on a regular basis - but there are a few that a made for the stressful times.

When I'm feeling in particular need of relaxation, I'll opt for a select few products. The Natura Siberica Revitalising Bath Salts* are the perfect blend of essences and oils to help relax and rejuvenate your skin. Not only does this smell absolutely amazing, it also has healing properties. This is great if I'm feeling sore all over from a hard day.

If I'm feeling tired, or have a headache, I will usually grab The Body Shop Deep Sleep Comforting Milk Bath Float. I actually purchased this after having success with the Deep Sleep Spray from The Body Shop and figured the bath float would work just as well. This has a creamy, milky feel to it that really helps relax your body and mind.

Face masks are always a great source of relaxation. I love a good face mask and will use any opportunity to pop one onto my face, including a good mid-week pampering. That being said, though, when I'm feeling tired or sore, I don't feel to keen on applying a creamy or wet face mask that I need to wash off. So I will usually grab my favourite sheet mask to make life easier.

One of my favourite masks to use when I'm feeling tired is the Fresh Fruit Aloe Mask Sheet from The Face Shop. Aloe Vera is very soothing on the skin, so it certainly works wonders in renewing your skin.

The Lon Vitalite C4 Coconut Milk Facial Mask* is one of my favourite sheet masks for everyday use. This has fantastic hydrating properties and afterwards, my skin feels so soft and smooth. If I'm feeling super tired - which let's face it, is often - then the Lon Vitalite Collagen Crystal Eye Mask* is the absolute best. It helps to calm my tired, puffy eyes and actually helps to soften stress headaches for me. I also love to use these the morning after a stressful day, too.

I don't know about you, but my feet are usually the first to feel the pain of a hard day. Save from getting a foot massage, there's usually little I can do to help my feet feel fresh again. Since using the Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Foot File*, my feet have been feeling better and better. Even though this is designed for removing dead skin and exfoliating, it also gives your feet a little massage which helps to destress your muscles. Plus I don't have to worry about getting this one wet.

My nails usually get a bit of attention during a pamper session, too. I recently had my acrylic nails removed to give my natural nails a break. My nails have been slowly but surely growing back stronger than ever. I've been making sure to use the Boe Professional Condition & Strengthen Top Coat* regularly, which has helped protect my nails. I also love using the Boe Professional Instant Nail & Cuticle Care Oil* as it's similar to the nail polish remover tubs. This is so moisturising and my nails have been loving it.

Last but not least, I love to slather myself with a nice rich moisturiser to help lock in all the nourishment my skin has soaked in from the other products I've been using.

One of my favourites lately has been the Manuka Biotic Body Lotion*, which is fairly thick but absorbs incredibly quickly into my skin. This actually smells a look like manuka honey, which is rather nice.

Another body butter I have been loving is The Body Shop British Rose Body Butter*. This one smells absolutely amazing, and whilst it has a strong aroma of roses, it's actually very pleasant. Applying this one thickly before bed makes me feel relaxed, and going to sleep with the scent of roses is just lovely.

So while my mid-week pamper session may not be as in-depth as a weekend pampering may be, it still gets the job done in making me feel rejuvenated, relaxed and ready to conquer the next day. I also find after making myself feel so lovely and fresh, I also have a much nicer sleep and end up waking up feeling great.

What's your mid-week pamper session like? Do you have any tips or tricks? Any particular products that help you wind down and relax?
Have you tried any of the above products? If so, what are your thoughts?
