After a particularly horrible day at work, I came home to find a rather exciting package from The Body Shop featuring some of their new base products. I'm a huge fan of The Body Shop and their glorious skin care products however I am a little less experienced with their makeup range. I figure this pack will be an excellent chance to try a few things out.
The products were sent out to me via the Base Game Strong campaign. This campaign is all about getting your base right as it's pretty much the only trend that stays the same. In saying this, The Body Shop has released these new base additions to their current range so I thought I'd give a bit of an overview.
We received thirteen products in total, with eleven new products. We received three different foundation shades and thankfully one of those shades suit me almost perfectly.
We did get a few eyeshadow palettes, including Down to Earth 03 Palette which has four basic shades. I have tried The Body Shop eyeshadows before and have always been impressed.
We got the large version of this palette as well, also called the Down to Earth palette. I actually love the shades included with this one and it would be perfect to take away on holidays.
I'm pretty keen to try out the new Instaglow CC Creams. We received two shades; Peachy Glow which is perfect for light to medium skin tones and Bright Glow, which is perfect for light skin tones. They also contain a low SPF which is great for a little extra coverage.
The Fresh Nude Foundation was the first product I used and I already love it. I opted for the lightest shade that was sent to me, Bali Vanilla, which suits me almost perfectly. I find this gives me a very fresh glowy finish and has since become a favourite of mine.
The Honey Bronze Drops of Sun Holiday Glow Creator is the perfect product for winter. I haven't had a proper play with this as yet, but so far it looks pretty easy to work with. I actually can't wait to try this in summer as I don't often tan very well, and this gives such a lovely glow when used on skin.
One of the most exciting products I received; the Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening and Darkening. I've been keen to try the lightening drops after seeing them on social media. I am fairly pale and most foundations are a tad too dark, so this will be perfect for me. I also find I can use the darkening drops to create my own custom bronzer.
An interesting looking product, the Fresh Nude Cushion Foundation fits in with current cushion foundation trends. I got the shade Malawi Beach, which is a tad darker than I would have picked for myself, but I'll try to make it work.
Another product I'm intrigued to try, the Lip & Cheek Stain in Bright Peony. This looks like such a gorgeous colour. It's probably darker than I would have chosen myself but once you start to blend this in it actually makes a really lovely cheek stain.
To actually apply all of these beautiful products, we also got the new face brush. This one is a bit like a stippling brush so perfect to apply the liquid products.

All in all, I'm totally in love with all these new goodies. I can't wait to try everything out and report back with some reviews. I know my base game will be strong!
Have you tried any of these new products from The Body Shop? If so, what are your thoughts?
