Five Face Mists To Try This Summer

Five Face Mists To Try This Summer - Sweetaholic Beauty

In the land down under, summer is well and truly here. We've had a few choice heat waves but the weather has been fantastic. However, it's only going to get hotter and for those of you who have to struggle through the heat without an air conditioner - such as myself - then you'll more than likely be relying on a fan and a face mist to save the day. I've put together a few of my favourite face mists to help get you through this Aussie summer.

I'm a huge fan of a face mist if I'll be honest. For a long time, I considered it to be simply just water with no real benefit - plus a massive waste of money. But with age comes wisdom, and I soon discovered the many hidden benefits of facial mists. Well, most of them anyway. Some of them are just packaged expensive water.

I've chosen five face mists - all of which double as toners - that I rely on either as part of my regular skincare routine or as a pick-me-up throughout the day.

One of my all time favourite toners is the Lush Cosmetics Tea Tree Water Toner Water. It has the word water right there in the name so it's not trying to hide anything. This little concoction also contains actual tea tree in it, which is antibacterial and antifungal. This will help if you are particularly acne prone and happen to be sweating a lot. I also just really love the scent.

Lately, I've been using the Swisse Skincare Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner as my regular morning toner. As well as containing sea minerals, it also contains aloe vera which is calming on the skin. I find that this is the kind of spray toner that absorbs into the skin very quickly and won't leave you feeling wet or drippy. It's perfect for all skin types so it makes for an excellent handbag addition.

The Dermalogica Ultra Calming Mist* is the perfect mist to use after a hot and heavy workout session or a super in-depth cleansing session. It contains Dermalogica's patented Ultra Calming formulation that helps with reducing redness and inflammation whilst also locking in moisture.

An old favourite - my Enbacci Vitis Vinifera Rejuvenating Essence is perfect as an all rounder. Made from grape stem cells, this toner is alcohol-free and works to keep your skin balanced and fresh whilst also having anti-ageing properties. This one has a very light scent and is actually my favourite for travelling with.

For those suffering from acne or spotty skin, then the La Roche-Posay Serozinc* is definitely the one for you. This particular spray is designed for problematic skin and targets oily and irritated parts of the face. It also has mattifying properties which means you can apply throughout the day as needed without any dewiness.

As you can see, the face mists in question certainly pack a punch and are more than just fancy water in a can. There are definitely benefits to applying a face mist throughout the day - particularly if you are sweating your face off.

Have you tried any of the above face mists? If so, what are your thoughts?
Let me know what your favourite face mist is, too!
