Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Range - Full Review

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Range - Full Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

Welcome back to my blog... it's been a while. Sorry about that. If you're a regular reader, then you'll know I tried a relaunch in February but thanks to life getting in the way, I didn't stick with it. But I am back; hopefully, this time to stay.

Lately, I've been trying out a new range called Andalou Naturals. They are available in Priceline and have a relatively large selection of products. I chose the 1000 Roses range - for no specific reason, just that I like roses and the range mentioned it worked well with sensitive skin. As I've been using it non-stop for the past three months, I thought I would share an in-depth review.

I purchased a total of seven products from the range. There is only one other product; which is a single-use sheet mask, that I have not actually tried as yet. (This is due to having so any sheet masks to try out!)

I started out with the mask and the exfoliator and gradually added more products to my routine as my skin sometimes goes into shock if I replace all of my products at once.

My skin instantly fell in love with the Heavenly Night Cream. It's rich enough for my skin to feel moisturised, but not too heavy to cause breakouts in my combination skin. I find when I use this every evening, I wake up with clear and plump feeling skin. It's absolutely one of my favourite products from the bunch.

I found I needed to adjust to the Beautiful Day Cream. My skin broke out very lightly when I first started using it, so I didn't use it every single day, to begin with. I've now transitioned my skin to use this on a daily basis. In the beginning, the cream was a little too moisturising for me so the oily parts of my skin decided it was too much. Now that I've adjusted, this is the perfect level of moisture and creates a lovely base for my daily makeup.

The Cleansing Foam was an instant favourite of mine. I found that without any follow up skincare, my skin did feel a little dry after using it, but nothing to write home about. The foaming function of this made the cleanser easy to use outside of the shower. (Usually, I hate using cleanser unless in the shower due to the mess.) Because it was so easy to use and smelt so lovely, it was definitely easier to convince myself to wash my face in the evening with this cleanser.

I do like the Floral Toner, but I do feel that they have given us way too much product. I've been using this now for three months and it doesn't look like I've touched it. In saying that - I'm not complaining. The toner is pretty standard, nothing special in particular but it's a lovely addition to the range.

Another immediate favourite was the Absolute Serum. I have a love-hate relationship with serums as I find my skin can be very fussy. This was the last piece of the range that I purchased, and I am so sad I didn't try it earlier. My skin loved it straight away. It found it kept my skin feeling fresh and bouncy.

The Rosewater Mask was the first item I picked up. I have a love affair with masks, particularly masks in pots like this, so I knew I needed to try it. I use this mask roughly once a fortnight, sometimes weekly. I find that it's very moisturising and doesn't make my skin feel too dry or stretched out as some clay masks do. This leaves my skin feeling very clean and soft, but also nourished.

My absolute favourite of the bunch; a must have for me - the Pearl Exfoliator. It was very tempting to use this every time I cleansed my face, but I cut down and started to use it between two-three times a week. I try to keep it for when I've had to wear heavier than usual makeup as it helps to really get in there and clean my skin. I usually love a really scrubby exfoliator but this is very soft and gentle on the skin.

Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses range. I started using the products in early May and had transitioned completely by the end of May using all seven products.

A few things to note; yes - this is a rose range so it does smell like roses. I feel like the rose scent is strong enough to smell, yet it is subtle enough to not be overwhelming for me. If you don't enjoy the regular rose smell, I would recommend sniffing it before buying just in case.

I think this range is great for sensitive skin. I only had a little bit of breakout and only when I started the day cream. (I'm a bad blogger and don't always use day cream so it was more likely my skin having a tantrum because I hadn't nourished it enough beforehand.)

This range is available from Priceline now, ranging from $19.95 - $29.99. You can also buy packs of smaller size products to try out. Have you tried Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses range? If so, what are your thoughts?
