Rimmel London: Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation

Today I'll be showing you one of my favourite foundations ever; the Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation! Already I'm a huge fan of any Rimmel product, especially their foundations, so it was basically second nature for me to head out and buy this one!
I've tested it for about six months now, and it's one of my main rotation foundations! (I have more than a few, I'm a make-up junkie, I know!)

Being as pale as I am, I picked up the lightest colour, and prayed that it would work out okay on my face.

As you can see here, the texture is a very thick cream, almost liquid. This makes it extremely easy to apply. You can either dip your brush or sponge directly into the pot, or you can get a bit out with your fingertip and spread it on your face. Usually foundations like this are usually found in some kind of pump bottle, or the dreaded bottle with no pump whatsoever which is just impossible to get the product out without making a huge mess and wasting foundation! But this was in pot form, which I found intriguing.
I absolutely love that it's in pot form, it makes it much easier to apply and makes it very travel friendly. It also stops any mess on the pump for bottled foundation.

There is also a little barrier lid that sits just inside to stop the product from going all over the place, which is just brilliant. The design is something I can't rave about enough!

This is my hideous face before foundation applied. As you can see I have freckles, dark circles beneath my eyes and somewhat blotchy skin. I love a thick coverage foundation for those reasons exactly, so it covers everything!

Here is my face afterwards. You can see the dark circles have almost disappeared (I did not use concealer at all in this photo) and the freckles are practically non-existent aside from my beauty mark and the skin appears to have a smoother texture.
As this is a quite thick textured foundation, it truly did cover every imperfection well and I was really pleased with the outcome.
As I said earlier, this is one of the foundations that has made it's way into my main rotation, but it's also a great special occasion foundation as it does not wear off easily. I finish it off with the Stay Matte Powder from Rimmel and I'm done!
It doesn't feel heavy afterwards and it doesn't clog my pores like a lot of other thick textured foundations do.

Overall I'd say it's a really pleasant product to use, very easy and has a great final effect. It has great staying power and although it's thick, still leaves my face feeling fresh and light. I would recommend this to anyone who needs imperfections to cover as this certainly does the job! Will I buy this again? Absolutely!
