Savvy by DB Classic Blush

Hey lovelies! In my June Haul I picked up two Savvy by DB blushes, and I wanted to share one of them with you! This particular shade is Silky Pink. I really love Savvy by DB cosmetics, mostly because they are Australian (even though they aren't made in Australia sadly) and because they are super cheap!

The colour looks a bit darker in this photo, but it really is a lovely deep pink colour. It's not as light as other colours I have, which I actually like! I like darker colours now so I'm being a little more adventurous!

As you can see the pigmentation is fantastic, but not too overbearing. It is a product you can build up to get the perfect colour! It blends really well so if you put too much on, it's easy to fix up! It's also very long lasting, which is always a plus with me!

So have you tried Savvy by DB Classic Blushes before?

NOTD: Rimmel London Purple Pulse

Hi beauties! I just wanted to share with you my latest Nail of the Day! I went through my nail polish collection today and found all my old Rimmel London polishes! These were the first nail polishes I'd ever tried, and as I grew a bit older my tastes changed a little bit, and I went for different types of nail polishes. This particular polish is Rimmel London I Love Lasting Finish in Purple Pulse. This is definitely one of my favourite colours ever!

As you can see, even my bed spread is purple! (It would be pink except I live with my boyfriend, so I have to be colour neutral for his sake!)
This is worn with a standard base coat, and finished off with Seche Vite Quick Dry. This was the first time I'd ever used Seche Vite and I was amazed at how wonderfully it worked! It really dried my nails quickly and left them with a "wet" look! I absolutely love it, and I'll definitely be buying this again!

I absolutely love how this polish turned out, and I think it's the perfect colour for winter! I have a dress the same colour but I don't think I'll wear them together - might be a bit too much purple!

So what do you think of Purple Pulse?

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner

Hey guys! Usually I use "salon" hair products, but after getting the free Hair Care bag from Priceline, I decided to give the John Frieda Smooth Start Hydrating shampoo a try! I used the $3 coupon for John Frieda products and picked up the conditioner to go with it. (There's something about using different brands that I just can't do! I know, obsessive compulsive! Plus I wanted to test it's effectiveness!)

My hair is not generally frizzy, however it does tend to get annoying fly-aways every now and then. So my thoughts prior to using this? Well, it will either ease the fly-aways, or it'll just be a nice shampoo & conditioner combo. Or worst case scenario, it won't be for me. But let's find out what I thought AFTER trying it...

I'll start with the shampoo. Right away I'm in love with John Frieda packaging. All of this packaging, not just this one. There is no unncessary pictures or colours, it's so simply and elegant, and it really does give off the salon quality for drug store prices! This particular series of products is supposed to be for "extra dry hair" which is the complete opposite of my hair, which is more like "extra oily hair." Disgusting, I know. But I figured I'd try it out anyway.

Firstly, before even using the stuff, I'm in love with the smell! I think I like most shampoo smells to be honest, but I really love this one! The texture of the shampoo is really slick and lovely, and very easy to work through my hair, more like a serum than a thick shampoo, which again really brings out that salon quality! Usually with shampoo, my hair gets ultra knotty and I use the conditioner to smooth things out, but this shampoo was so lightweight and easy, that my hair didn't knot at all!

The conditioner has an even nicer smell than the shampoo! Much like the shampoo, the texture is very slick and not as thick as most conditioners. It's very, very easy to work through the hair and washes out incredibly easy too! I've had some conditioners that take a whole five minutes just to wash out! I love a good shower, but that can be ridiculous if you're in a rush! This one comes out really easy, and again, like the shampoo, really gives that salon feeling!

So, did this combination give me "100% flawless, frizz-free hair, from start to finish?"

Short answer: YES!

Long answer:
Although I used a shampoo and conditioner meant for extra dry hair, it did not in fact make my hair any oilier than usual, which is certainly a plus! As I said before many times, it truly did give me the salon feel, and it left my hair feeling refreshed and very clean! There were far less knots than usual, as I like to leave my messy hair dry naturally before putting a brush to it - which is usually hell with all the knots I get!
Even after one application I found my hair had far less fly-aways than usual and was much sleeker and silkier, and much more manageable. So basically; I can't rave about this enough! I loved it!

I'm very curious to try the other products associated with this particular series, I believe there is a serum to use to create the perfect frizz-free hair that I'd love to try!

If you're interested in trying this out, the shampoo and conditioner usually retail for about $15.99 each, which is certainly a nice change from paying $35.00 a bottle on salon quality hair-care!

Have you tried these hair products? If so, what did you think?

Puretopia Body Polish

Today I want to tell you all about this amazing miracle product I received in this month's Free Skincare Bag from Priceline! It's the Pureopia Glowingly Smooth Exfoliating & Renewing Body Polish! (What a name... as you can see the title of this post featured the abridged name!)

At first I had no idea what the heck this was (obviously I hadn't read the title!), but Nicole from What's The Gloss cleared it all up for me and said that it was most likely a body exfoliator. Smart cookie!

After just one use, this has become my favourite exfoliator! I'm a big fan of scrubs and exfoliators, so this is right up my alley! I've used it about three times since, and I think I'm in love!

When I first squirted this stuff onto my skin, my first thought was: "Gross!" Just look at the colour! In the bright lights of my bathroom it appeared a lot darker, so you can imagine how it would have looked. But my goodness, the smell! The smell is heavenly, and not gross in the slightest! The bottle says to use a generous amount, which is exactly what I did!

This is how it looked after rubbing it into my skin. It was very rough and gritty, which I definitely look for in an exfoliator. If it's too soft, I know it's not doing what it's supposed to! The effect was immediate, my skin became ridiculously soft and smooth! My skin remained smooth throughout the next few days! This Body Polish definitely gave my skin a lovely refreshing polish! It's like having your own at home spa!

Another thing I love about this... it's against animal testing, and it's Australian made & owned, which is always a plus in my books! I love buying local! It looks and smells so natural, which is also something I look for in my bath products!

Looking down at the bottom of your shower and looking at "sand" (which is the effect it leaves behind!) makes me feel very Aussie, too!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs some an exfoliator, or wants to try anything new! This is definitely a gorgeous, natural, well rounded product!

So have you tried anything from Puretopia

Bioré Nourish Moisture Lotion

I started trying the BiorĂ© Nourish Moisture Lotion a while ago but wanted to give it a long time before actually reviewing it - as my skin is very fickle when it comes to moisturising. I've had enormous success with serums and other skin care with BiorĂ©, so how did I feel about the moisturiser?

First off the bat we have two big ticks in my book. SPF 15 and oil free. Two things that I look for with face moisturiser, as of course it needs to have some sun protection, and due to my oily skin, no excess oil! The bottle also has a pump which I prefer when it comes to moisturiser, as it's more convenient and more hygienic. Portion control was definitely not a problem here!

After trial testing it for so long I've decided I like it. I was a bit iffy at first, but that was probably because I wasn't actually used to using moisturiser on my face. (Despite lathering it all over the rest of my body every five minutes!) so I think it just took me a little bit to get used to it.

It was definitely not oily at all, which was excellent, and did keep my skin nice and refreshed! It didn't dry me out at all, which is a problem I've also had before with no-oil creams, but this did the job perfectly!

I'll continue to use this as it didn't make me break out, didn't make me oily, didn't make me dry, didn't make me slippery looking or patchy.
This did everything it was supposed to do and much like my lovely go-to serums, it's actually helped a lot with my redness too.

Definitely repurchasing this - not that I'll have to as this generous 100ml bottle seems like it's going to last forever!

Have you tried the BiorĂ© Nourish Moisture Lotion yet?

This product was provided to me for consideration. :)

Spending Ban Promise

Can I just talk about the Sigma Beauty Extravaganza Complete Kit for a minute? LOOK at this kit?
This is what Sigma says about their kit:
The Extravaganza Collection is a lavish assortment of hand-crafted brushes with 18K gold plated ferrules. The Extravaganza Complete Kit features twenty-nine of our best-selling brushes and comes in a deluxe carrying case, perfect for traveling and storage. Everything you need for a luxurious makeup application.

Are you as speechless as I am right now? As you all probably know I'm a complete nut for brushes, so this is like the Holy Grail to me! At a ridiculous $510.00 this gold infused brush kit is what is calling me to make this HUGE decision!
I am doing three months of NO SPENDING on beauty products for myself! Over the last three months I've had the Free Beauty Bag, the Free Haircare Bag, and now the Free Skincare bag from Priceline, which means I'm beauty-set for at least the next three months (or at most the next three years!)

So please, if you see me lusting in comments I leave you on your blog, set me straight! Remind me of my gorgeously decadent unncessary rich person brushes that for some reason I need! If you don't believe me, check out some pictures...

Tell me you're not drooling? This kit is just amazing! So no spending for three months starting July 1. I figure I couldn't make the first ban, so why the heck would I be able to make the second. I needed a huge, giant, amazing, gorgeous reason to make it. And I just found my reason!

Do you think I can make it?

Just thought I'd add; the only reason I'll be breaking this is if I absolutely NEED something; eg all of my mascaras somehow die on the same day, which is never going to happen! I'm also not giving up on my beauty box subscriptions for obvious reasons - I have yearly subscriptions!

Weekend Haul

So much for "No Spend June" right? I caved once, so that was pretty much the end of it. So now I'm showing you my latest haulage from this weekend! I got a few packages on Friday and Monday today, and my loving boyfriend was kind enough to drive me to Daiso on the weekend! And take me on a Priceline haul Thursday night!

NYX Blush in Peach

I purchased this baby from Beauty Joint, which is the first non-nail polish item I've ordered! I have yet to try it yet but I've heard so many raves that I'm sure it's amazing!

Essence Lipstick in Frosted and Prom Night

I really should have resisted these, however I noticed they were the only ones left of their colour in my local Target, and since the last time they were sold out it took them six months to restock, I figured I'd buy it now than save myself the horrible waiting time! Loving both of them!

Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Sunscreen Lotion

I bought this to qualify for the Free Skincare Bag, which annoyingly there was already one of these in there! Oh well, can't help that I suppose! Maybe I'll be sneaky and return it!

Biore Make-up Removing Wipes

I was so unconvinced that Biore was worth the money, but after trying it once, I'm hooked! Their products are amazing quality, especially the make-up wipes, which have very quickly become my favourite! I actually bought two packs of these as I always run out!

Pixi Palette in Mirage

I got this one of Strawberrynet, and was shocked at how small it was! I somehow expected it to be bigger. But I love Pixi and their designs are just cute, so I couldn't help myself with 2 for $17!

Pixi Palette in Lavender

This was the second Pixi palette I got in the 2 for 17 deal. This one is adorable, I can't wait to use them.

Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons

I needed these after seeing them on basically all of my favourite Aussie blogger's pages! They are AMAZING! I have used all of them already, and they are certainly up there with the gorgeous Revlon Lip Butters!

Seche Vite Quick Dry

Another purchase from Beauty Joint! I had to get this as everyone raves, this seems to be a beauty must-have. I got this for only $5.50 compared to the price everywhere else which adds about $10 onto that price - over $15! Thank the beauty Gods for Beauty Joint!

Biore Triple Action Toner

As I said before, I've become enamoured with Biore so I needed to try their toner. I haven't even got a current toner since my last one was discontinued, so I thought I'd give this one a go!

Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser

This just sounds so nice doesn't it! Too many yummy words in the title (except maybe for blackhead.) I can't wait to give this a go!

Daiso Nail Jewelry Parts

Yay more nail art from Daiso! So in love with Daiso! Sadly they didn't have as many as last time I went, but I managed to pick up a few cute ones! I love the little roses, kind of wishing the whole thing was roses!

Daiso Eye Shadow in Blue

I was very pleased with the last eye palette I got from Daiso so I decided to give this one a go! I was really attracted to the colours, so hopefully they are nice and pigmented! If not, it's only $2.80 lost!

Coastal Scents 22 Brush Kit

My giant purchase for this week! This little beauty was only $34.95 but was actually discounted. I ended up buying something else for my sister (can't spoil it on here though!) for $24.95 and the discount I got was -$24.71 so I practically got her gift for free! Such a great deal!

Some pictures of my lovely new brush kit! I'm loving the fan brush! This is the first fan brush I've ever owned. I've never been sure what to use it for, but I'll certainly try!

They look surprisingly professional for the price!

The brushes are all extremely soft and beautiful, and I've had no shedding as yet on any of them! They aren't as great quality as Sigma, but they certainly are worth a lot more than what I paid for them! Plus the variety of eye brushes is spectacular! It's definitely something I'm happy I invested in!

So hopefully you liked my little haul! I always feel like I've bought nothing until I put it all together on Monday and think: "My bank account is going to hate me!"
Have you tried any of these products, if so, what did you think?

June Lust Have It

On Friday I received my June Lust Have It! If you haven't already heard, Lust Have It has since changed it's policy and is no longer sending out tracking numbers or using registered post. I'm a bit on the fence with that idea, as I'd prefer to pick it up if I miss the delivery as I know it's safe, and I know when it's coming - but at the same time I do like the fact that it's left behind if I do miss the delivery man by a few hours.
But what bothered me the most is that I was among one of the last people to receive it, and I think it takes away all the fun to read what my fellow blogging ladies have gotten, as I'm left with basically no surprises.

This month's goodies came in a gorgeous royal purple bag. Can't wait to see next month's colour! So what did I get...

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh sample
Never tried any of the Daisy perfumes, so I was happy with this one. It smells lovely but I'm still considering whether or not to buy the full sized!

Marc Jacobs Daisy sample
Okay, so, two Daisy perfumes in one box? It's a bit strange. Most people I saw got the Robert Cavalli perfume so I was a tad disappointed I didn't get that. But hey, at least Daisy is lovely smelling, so I can't complain.

Bloom Glitter Liquid Eyeliner in Star Struck
I'm happy to get this as I love any kind of make-up, and Bloom is a good brand. I also love glitter so it'll be great to give this a go!

Lon Vitalite 24K Active Gold Eye Mask
I love skin care, especially the kind of skin care that let's you pamper yourself, which this certainly does! I'll enjoy sitting in a bath with these on!

Lon Vitalite 24K Active Golden Yulan Oil Facial Mask
Always happy for a good face mask, and I have a few of them saved up now, so I'll have a few lovely pamper nights ahead of me this winter!

Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo
Well I'm pretty fussy with dry shampoos but I'm certainly willing to give this one a go! It's supposed to have a nice scent which will be refreshing, and is a great size for travelling.

So overall, I felt this box was a little bit lazy. Two perfume samples (for me, both from the same designer) and two face masks. Even though one of them was an eye mask. It just seemed like it was very quickly put together, and the shipping was a huge disappointment to me. As much as I love Lust Have It and their gorgeous bags, this wasn't a huge winner for me. I did love what I got, I just hope next month will be a little more creative.

So what did you think of your Lust Have It this month?
