Essence Gel Liner in Miami's Ink

I know this review has probably been overdone, but I just had to share this with you! At the end of May I picked up two Essence Gel Eyeliners from Target. I didn't think much of them, because hey, when am I really going to wear silver and purple eyeliner?
But a few days ago I was playing around with my make-up and I gave the silver, or "Miami's Ink" a go. I was blown away!

To begin with the mixture was more like a liquid eyeliner in a pot that you can just dip your brush in rather than a bottle. It was so "wet" and easy to get on the brush. I was pleasantly surprised!

Swatched on my arm.
Wow, the colour! Look how intense that is, it's amazing! It's more of a metal look rather than silver, which I actually like more. It's more classy, I think! It goes on very easily and is much easier to control than liquid eyeliner. A little goes a long way, my favourite, so it's so far a winner!

It went on amazingly easy on my eyes, and although I somehow managed to mess up the wing (it's a common problem with me. I draw the wing with my eyes opened, and it never looks right when I close them again!) it's very easy! Even though my photo here may not do it justice, the colour is very pigmented and is a beautiful, unique substitution for black eyeliner.

See, I told you the wing looks fine when I open my eyes! I wore this a few days and it has excellent staying power, and doesn't transfer to the top of my eyelids, which is a plus!

My whole face.
See, my eyeliner looks great! You may not be able to see if from far away, but it's not as intense as black, which can sometimes be over-dominating if you're wearing a heavy mascara and eyeliner on the bottom lashline like I do.

All in all I'm very pleased with this product! At only $5.95 it is an absolute steal! Easy to apply, great colour, great consistency and wonderful staying power, I will buy this again and again!

Have you tried any Essence products before? If so, what did you think?
