Lumiere Cosmetics *

A little while ago, I was asked if I wanted to review some goodies from the lovely Lumiere Cosmetics brand. Lumiere Cosmetics specialise in mineral make-up, so of course I had to say yes! I'm a fan of mineral make-up already, so I'm always on the look out to try more!

Starry Night, Graphite & Silver Shimmer

To start with I was sent three gorgeous eye pigments from the "Black, Grey and White" range. I love how their website colour co-ordinates their pigments! It makes it a lot easier to find what you're after!

Starry Night

Starry Night is a black pigment with silver glitters - it reminds me a lot of the night sky! This colour is extremely pigmented, but can be toned down to create a SFW look!

Graphite

Graphite is probably my favourite pigment out of the trio. The colour is well pigmented, with a more metallic finish than how it looks in the tub. It's hard to tell with photos, but there are small slightly blue-ish specks which give Graphite a really unique finish!

Silver Shimmer

Silver Shimmer is a really lovely highlight colour, and also has a more metallic finish. Silver Shimmer is sheerer than the other colours, but looks really lovely on the eye.

From left to right: Starry Night, Graphite, Silver Shimmer

As you can see, they are very well pigmented, and these swatches are done with a very light touch! I would not recommend using a heavy hand!

--

I really adore these pigments, as they are colours I will use again and again. These are some of my first ever pigment eye-shadows, and while I don't have a lot of experience with that type of make-up, I found them easy to use! There wasn't a lot of fall out (but there was some of course, it's a pigment!) and the colours were extremely long lasting!

Mauvelous & Hibiscus

I was a little intimidated by the packaging of these blushes at first, which meant I grabbed way too much product my first go around! Oops!

Mauvelous & Hibiscus

Mauvelous is a really pretty colour! Upon first glance, I thought it looked almost the same as Hibiscus, but has a very different tone and finish! Mauvelous is more matted looking, and goes really nice for an every day look!
Hibiscus is a lovely pink/plum, minus any brown undertones, and gives a really gorgeous pop of colour! I love the finish of this one, and it has very quickly become my favourite blush! At first attempt, I used a heavy hand, but the colour was easy to blend in!

--

I ended up falling in love with both of these blushes, and they are some of my most used blushes already! The colours are so beautiful and different to anything else that I own, and they are so easy to blend! I found that my major problem with blush in general is that it can fade faster than the rest of my makeup, but I found with Mauvelous and Hibiscus, the colours lasted all day without any fading!

Socialite

What an adorable little bottle! This is the perfect sample size!

Socialite

Socialite is a really gorgeous colour. It's described as a cranberry colour with brown undertones, but I think in sunlight (as per the above swatch) the brown undertones are really clear. Socialite also has a little bit of sparkle, which gives it a really lovely finish. At first swatch, Socialite is fairly sheer but can be built up for a nice rich colour!

--

Socialite was also a really lovely lip gloss. I found that it wasn't overly sticky at all, and was actually really long lasting in terms of lip glosses! The colour does tend to change a little bit when you're in direct sunlight, which I actually like! (It also didn't smell or taste weird like some mineral lipglosses do, so that was definitely a plus!

--

I'm really liking the samples I received from Lumiere Cosmetics! I'll definitely be checking out some of their other products, as they have a huge range! Their prices are also really great! With the eye shadow pigments, you have the option of buying the full sized tub, which retails at $8 or the sample tub which retails at $5 so there's a lot of flexibility!

The quality of all of the products was really great too, so I would definitely recommend buying!

You can check out the full range of Lumiere Cosmetics here on their website!
