September Bellabox

BB1

The usual Bellabox box was a little different this month - instead was wrapped up securely in a big post package! I was intrigued - but I already knew I had a full sized magazine coming to me so I assumed that would be all!

BB2

This month's box... or er, package, was all about Spring Party Essentials. Usually I don't think too much of these themes, but this month's was pretty darn accurate, so kudos to Bellabox for that! (I also adore the design of the little cardboard wrap around that held the products together!)

September Her Fashion Box

HFB1

If you read my blog regularly, then you'll know that last week I attended the Her Fashion Box Bloggers Brunch; an event showcasing the new feature September box! It was difficult not to spoil the box for everybody back then, but now I can freely post my thoughts, since the box has been despatched!

HFB9

As always, the Her Fashion Magazine always has a sneak peek into the box - this month's tag line being "Clutch On." Hmm, three guesses what feature accessory we're getting this month! Exciting!

HFB2

All of the goodies. How exciting!

I was lucky enough to be in Sydney at the time of IMATS this year, celebrating my sister's 21st! I've already posted about my IMATS experience (which you can read here) but kept my haul separate, as I didn't want to make the post too long!

I have been very lucky this month, in that all my subscription boxes (aside from one) came within two days - that's two boxes a day! I was eagerly awaiting this month's Violet Box as they have really impressed me in the past!

VB2

It's a very nail oriented box this month!

Sydney IMATS 2013

IMATS11

This weekend just passed, my mum, my sister and I took a trip to Sydney to celebrate my sister's 21st birthday! Being a beauty lover herself, I decided that because her birthday fell on the weekend of IMATS, I would take them along! (So, it was a present for her... and for me!)

IMATS is similar to Salon Melbourne, which I also attended earlier on this year. (See my post on that here.) The only difference between IMATS and Salon Melbourne is that you have to pay to get in to IMATS, which means pretty much anybody can tag along. (Including people who don't want to be there, who unfortunately end up taking up space and getting in the way of us shoppers! Oh well!)
While it was crazy busy, I did manage to snap a few shots!

Her Fashion Box Bloggers Event

Last Monday, I was invited to the Her Fashion Box bloggers brunch - which ended up more of a breakfast at about 9am! Kath and Kerry, the co-founders of Her Fashion Box made the trip from sunny Sydney down to rainy Melbourne just to meet a few of us and reveal their amazing new September box!

We each received our very own box - different to our normal subscription!

HFB1

The spread was delightfully pink! Kath and Kerry had our boxes all ready for us when we arrived!

September Lip Factory

LF1

Another month, another set of subscription boxes! This month my Lip Factory was sent out far earlier than any other box, which was definitely an exciting surprise! Lip Factory has to be one of my favourite boxes, being that it comes from overseas and rarely has products I already have, which is perfect!

LF2

This month's theme was Define Your Style of Beauty.

There's something oh so special about receiving a new fragrance. Whether you buy it yourself or you receive it as a gift, it's always a little bit exciting! So when Marc Jacobs Honey arrived on my doorstep, I was more than thrilled!

Any fragrance by Marc Jacobs is destined to have an absolutely stunning bottle, and Honey is definitely no exception! The gorgeous round, polka dot bottle paired with the adorably chic gold and black butterflies makes this perfume bottle a winner in my books!

Lush Bloggers Event

LUSH4

Last Tuesday, I was delighted to attend the very first Lush bloggers event in Melbourne! I'm a huge fan of Lush products already, so I was so excited to head into the store and learn more about their beautiful products!

So before I talk about the event, enjoy some lovely photography of just some of their products that we learnt about!

Neutrogena Deep Clean Radiance Boosting Mulberry Foam Cleanser & Daily Scrub *

DC1

Recently I was given the chance to test out the new Neutrogena Deep Clean Radiance Boosting Mulberry Foam Cleanser & Scrub! I was instantly intrigued by the idea of a mulberry scented skin care range! When I was younger, I lived in a house that had a huge mulberry bush in our backyard, and my sister and I would just stand there and eat them right off the tree! So, the scent brought back a few childhood memories!

Top 5 Beauty Product Swap with Born to Buy

SO1

For those of you who follow me on Twitter, (here) you'll already know that I've been doing a Top 5 Beauty Product Swap with my gorgeous friend Sophie, from Born to Buy. (Who sadly lives on the other side of the country, otherwise I'm sure we'd be out shopping up a storm together!)

How adorable is her wrapping! I love the stringy bits, it adds such a cute charm!

SO2

Sophie also included a gorgeous little card containing all the information about her picks!

Essence 50's Girls Reloaded Eyeshadow Duos

50S5

There's something so exciting about the feature section on the Essence stand. There's always something special and sparkly and limited edition - and if you can get there quickly enough before other shoppers have put their dirty fingers all over them, then you've struck gold!

I was lucky enough to find the Essence 50's Girls Reloaded Eyeshadow Duos in my local Target, clean and untouched! Now that I'm finished with my spending ban (see here) I can finally spend like mad again - these were all under $5.00 each - so I'm doing okay!

Paul Brown Hawaii Hapuna Argan Oil *

AO1

If you know me, then you'll know I love my hair! While I would usually describe my hair as flat and oily, I still use oil in my hair as a heat protector as it does wonders! When I was asked if I wanted to test out the Paul Brown Hawaii Hapuna Argan Oil, I couldn't say no!

AO2

I was mostly intrigued by the Paul Brown Hawaii Hapuna Argan Oil because of the name - Hawaii Hapuna Argan Oil? Sounds a little different to the Argan Oil I'm used to!

Bomb Cosmetics Haul

BOMB1

Recently I put through my very first order with Get Drenched, the Australian distributor of phenomenal UK bath company Bomb Cosmetics! I say phenomenal because the hype surrounding Bomb Cosmetics, especially here in Australia, is absolutely crazy! (Reference - the Beauty Heaven Forum page dedicated to all things Bomb Cosmetics, with 18 pages of glowing reviews!)

I'd been stalking the Get Drenched website for a little while near the end of my Spending Ban with Sophie (more details on that here) knowing that I'd be putting an order in, but when it came time to actually order, my wishlist went out the window and I ended up picking two gift packs (yes - for myself) and also received a few extra goodies, courtesy of Get Drenched! (Paul, who runs the site, was also kind enough to include a little handwritten note - amazing customer service!)

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nostalgia *

RIM1

A little while ago, I was contacted by the lovely people at Fashion Addict and asked if there was anything from their lovely website that I'd like to try! I was over the moon, as I'd been a long term admirer of Fashion Addict and as I was on a spending ban at the time, it worked out perfectly!

My eye instantly caught the likes of the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nostalgia. I'd seen Nostalgia in my local Chemist Warehouse as a tester with no home, and the colour looked beautiful! I'd never seen Nostalgia again, or anywhere else, until I checked out Fashion Addict. (That's one thing I truly love about this website - you can find things you thought were discontinued or long gone!)

RIM2

Nostalgia is a gorgeous pink, and in the tube it appears to be fairly safe. But when swatched, it comes alive with gorgeous shimmer and can look fairly bright!

Antipodean Beauties - All About Eyes

This will be the second week I have participated with the gorgeous group, the Antipodean Beauties! This week's theme is "All About Eyes" - which was a theme I found very exciting!

I decided on a neutral looking eye with a little bit of smoke!

eye1

eye2

I used the Lorac Pro palette that I was lucky enough to win from Sarah, who runs a gorgeous blog called More Than Adored! This is one of my favourite palettes at the moment, as it has every colour I need for a neutral but glam look, and all of the colours are oh so pigmented!
