NYX Cosmetics Haul

NYX1

NYX Cosmetics have finally hit Aussie shores, which means of course I had to go on a shopping spree! NYX is definitely a brand I love, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of experience with their products, so when they finally announced they were coming to Target stores across Australia, I was very excited!

While the prices are higher than the average US prices, I'm still happy to see them in store because it means I can actually test products before buying, and get them straight away rather than paying an arm and a leg for shipping that takes weeks to get to me!

NYX2

All the goodies!

NYX3

The Smokey Shadow Palette - $12.95

I absolutely adore the colours in this palette! This was a must-have for me, and I've been eyeing it off online for some time! The price tag is pretty reasonable in my opinion, as you can get this on BeautyJoint.com for $7 but shipping (for just the one product) would cost almost $5 and you would have to wait, so I think it's definitely worth it!

NYX4

Blush in Terra Cotta - $9.95

Another product I've been lusting after! I have a blush in another shade and I absolutely adore it, so I was really looking for something summery and less pink - Terra Cotta is the perfect colour! Again, I think that the pricing is really decent for this as well, with this costing $5 online, combined with shipping you would be paying about the same.

NYX5

Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Ivory - $14.95

I was really impressed by the coverage of this foundation when I tested it in store, and the colour was also incredibly light in comparison to other foundations on the Aussie beauty market. Despite this costing $7.50 online, with shipping of about $5, you're only paying slightly extra, which definitely goes a long way when purchasing foundation!

NYX6

Super Fat Eye Marker - $17.95

I have lusted after the Super Fat Eye Marker since my discovery of the internet, but for some reason I've never purchased it! I love liquid eyeliner, especially in pen form, and this is an absolute dream come true for me! I do think this one is overpriced for what it is, but I'm more than happy to pay that little bit extra to get this baby in my hands! Online it retails for $10.

NYX7

Za Za Zu Mascara - $14.95

I was really drawn to the name of this mascara, as it sounds really cute and as though it would really give my eyes some extra oomph! There was no tester in store so I had no idea what the wand looked like, but I bought it anyway. I was a bit underwhelmed by the wand itself, but will reserve judgement until I actually use the mascara itself! This is another product I think is overpriced in comparison to it's online price, which retails at just $6 - but again, I'm more than happy to pay under $20 for a decent mascara! (Here's hoping it is!)

NYX8

Soft Matte Lip Creams in Milan & Antwerp - $12.95

The Soft Matte Lip Creams have been something I've always wanted to try from NYX, as I'm a huge fan of these kinds of products and have too many of them already from other brands - but I always need more! I love the colour choices, and it was hard to stick to just a few when I really wanted to get the entire collection! Online these retail for $6 so the Aussie pricing isn't really too bad in comparison!

--

So altogether, I was pretty happy with everything I picked up. Of course, buying all of these products online would have been significantly cheaper in the long run, but I'm really not too fussed about that. I'm happy that Australia now has the option of going to the shops and browsing the NYX Cosmetics stand, testing colours and playing with new products, even if that means that some of us will be buying online instead, a large number of people will still buy from Target here in Australia! (Including myself come sale time!)

I was pretty impressed with everything that was stocked, and although the stand was pretty much ransacked by the time I got to it, I can see a fully stocked stand would be totally amazing! Here's hoping Target doesn't pull an Essence on this one and keeps the stands stocked and tidy - screw hoping, let's pray!

Have you purchased anything from NYX Cosmetics since they've launched in Australia? If so, what did you pick up? Are you a fan of NYX in general?
