Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick Collection *

l6

I was pretty darn excited when I first heard about the newest Illamasqua collection Glamore! The new collection included the absolutely awesome Shattered Star Nail Varnishes (which I've reviewed here) as well as three new shades of lipstick!

I'm really impressed with the new colours! I thought my favourite of the bunch would be Soaked, because it's a gorgeous vibrant orange, but I actually found myself truly loving Glissade; a rather bold and deep pink! I found Glissade to be the more wearable of the three, with a very safe for work look, whereas Luster is perfect for a night out on the town!

Swatched: Soaked, Luster, Glissade

In the past I'd had trouble with Illamasqua lipsticks. I'm not sure if it has been a production problem, but some of the lipsticks I'd come across became very dry, very quickly. I also know that other people that have bought lipsticks from Illamasqua in Australia have had the same problem. (I have never heard of this problem outside of Australia, though, which is what leads me to believe it might have been a production or storage problem.)

In saying that, however, I found these three have remained creamy and easy to use after many weeks of testing them out. None of them have gone dry, which definitely gives me confidence to buy more lipsticks from Illamasqua in future.

I found all three had a beautiful satin finish on the lips, and look just gorgeous! They had excellent staying power (particularly Glissade) even when eating and drinking, so I was really impressed.

Overall I was really pleased with all three lipsticks. I was happy with the quality of these ones, and really excited by the colours! All three are included in my usual lipstick rotation at the moment, even Luster for when I'm feeling fun!

Have you tried the new Illamasqua Glamore Lipsticks? If so, what are your thoughts? Have you ever had issues with Illamasqua lipsticks in the past?
