Chi Chi Glamorous Gel Eyeliner Collection

CHICHI5

When in Myer, I always end up in the Chi Chi section. Although we have Chi Chi in my local Target, there always seems to be more exciting goodies from them in Myer. When strolling through during my last shop, I noticed one of their newest gift packs - the Glamorous Gel Eyeliner Collection. The pack includes 10 gorgeous shades for only $30 - bargain! I knew it had to be mine.

I own a fair few things from Chi Chi and I have always been impressed, so I had high hopes for these gel eyeliners. I was impressed with the colour selection; ranging from a few neutral colours to some amazing and bright shades that are seldom seen elsewhere in drugstore brands, especially in Australia. Great job, Chi Chi!

Lo Cal Chocolate, Midas Touch, Caribbean Queen, Black is Black, Diamonds in the Sky, Like a Virgin, Dream Lover, Boys Boys Boys, Beauty School Dropout, Hopelessly Devoted

At first I was a little skeptical that these eyeliners would be gel and waterproof as Chi Chi boasted. I hoped that it would be true, but unfortunately I have been burnt before by these kinds of claims. Nonetheless, I was still excited to have 10 new shades to play with.

The consistency of the pencil was amazing. It was so easy to glide on, there was no tugging or pulling on the eyelid. The pencils were so creamy and easy to apply. I was also extremely pleased with the pigmentation of the colours! They were so bright and looked even more gorgeous than the expected colour shown on the caps of the pencils. Already I knew these babies were going to be easy to work with and look amazing, but I still wasn't really sure about it being waterproof!

Swatched: Lo Cal Chocolate, Midas Touch, Caribbean Queen, Black is Black, Diamonds in the Sky, Like a Virgin, Dream Lover, Boys Boys Boys, Beauty School Dropout, Hopelessly Devoted

As you can see from  my swatches, they colours are bright, dramatic and oh so lovely. The back of the box advised that Hopelessly Devoted can also double as a lip liner - I'll have to do more research as to whether or not the other colours can as well or if the ingredients are different in just the pink. I don't think I can even pick a favourite as they are all so gorgeous!

As for being waterproof - I am pleased to say they are indeed. I attempted to smudge them off my hand almost immediately after swatching and they would not budge! I ran my hand under water and attempted to smudge again - nothing! I found they took a little bit of scrubbing to smudge with a makeup removing wipe, but when I used eye makeup remover, I had no problems. Just what I like to see in an eyeliner!

Overall, I'm super pleased with this pack! If the gorgeous swatches don't tempt you, pop into a store and try them out; you won't be sorry! At only $30, you really can't go wrong with this set. Based on the quality of these eyeliners, I would expect to pay a lot more than that. Well done Chi Chi, you've created a truly awesome product and I'm so happy I purchased them - they tick all the boxes!

Have you tried the Chi Chi Glamorous Gel Eyeliners yet? If so, what are your thoughts? What colour is your favourite?
