John Frieda Beach Blonde Range

John Frieda, Beach Blonde, Haircare,

When I first heard that John Frieda was bringing out a new shampoo and conditioner duo, I was over the moon. Then, I heard this duo was called Beach Blonde, and I lost all hope. Once this duo was released, along with sea salt spray, I discovered that this was in fact for all hair types, not just blonde. Just a tip, John Frieda, maybe try a different name. Something a little more inclusive. That aside, I popped in store and purchased all three products from the Beach Blonde range.

John Frieda, Beach Blonde, Haircare,

The Cool Dip shampoo is a clarifying shampoo, which is something my hair seems to love. I was delighted when I opened this up in the shower and got an invigorating blast of mint. If you don't like mint, I would recommend you stay away from this shampoo. Once you began to actually use the shampoo, the mint dies down to a nice, subtle scent. I found the shampoo did an excellent job and cleaning my hair, and I only needed one wash. (Occasionally I'll need to wash my hair twice to ensure I get that true clean feel.) Being that it is a clarifying shampoo, it did leave my hair a little dry and tangled.

The Smooth Seas detangling conditioner does just that - detangles. This one also has a lovely energizing mint scent, but is not overpowering at all. A little goes a long way with this conditioner, and I found it soothed my hair with ease and didn't weigh it down at all. I was pretty happy with this conditioner just on it's own.

John Frieda, Beach Blonde, Haircare,

The Ocean Waves Sea Salt Spray was also a lovely addition. I've tried my fair share of textursing sprays, and while this one was definitely on the tame side, it worked well nonetheless. You do need to spray a fair bit to make any difference, and I would recommend spraying on towel dried hair and scrunching your hair up in your hands to get the full effect. Once you've done that, you'll have full and volumised beach hair! On the plus side, it smells delicious.

I find that my hair is very sensitive and doesn't always get along with products that I buy. Being fairly oily, as well as coloured, it can be tough to find products that work well. I was surprised at how well the shampoo and conditioner worked, and didn't wash out my hair colour either. The sea salt spray is not a must-have, but worth a try if you're a lover of the beach hair look.

Have you tried the John Frieda Beach Blonde range yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Would you try this duo if you had the chance?
