Father's Day Gift Guide 2015

Father's Day Gift Guide 2015 - Sweetaholic Beauty

It's almost Father's Day here in Australia; that special day to celebrate your dad, your grandfather or another special man in your life that has inspired you. For me, that person is my step-dad. He's been in my life for at least the last ten years (and counting) and he's always treated my sister and I like we were really his daughters.

This year I have decided to do a gift guide of all the primping and grooming products I could find for that special man in your life. I'll also be doing some in-depth reviews in which my step-dad and my partner will be sharing their thoughts.

Father's Day Gift Guide 2015 - Sweetaholic Beauty

Nivea Men Originals Gift Pack

This is a really nifty little pack that I've seen available all over the place. It contains some nice staple products including a face wash gel, a shower gel, a shaving gel and a face, body and hand creme. This little pack was under the $15.00 mark and is a really great all-rounder.

JORD Wood Watches*

Jord Wood Watches Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

A little while ago, I was invited by brand Jord Wood Watches to trial out one of their beautiful wooden watches. I was so intrigued by the idea of a wooden watch that I just had to take up their offer. Shortly after accepting, this beautiful wooden package arrived on my doorstep.

I was really impressed with the packaging. The box that encases the watch was also wooden, and is an elegant way to keep your watch safe. It was also cushioned on an adorable little pillow, which helped keep my watch safe throughout it's travels.

Klara Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lips Collection

A fairly long time ago, I purchased this Klara Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lips Collection from a makeup show. Sadly, due to the mass amount of products I already own, this kit got buried at the bottom of my lipstick collection - too pretty to open for just any old occasion. Recently I did a major blog room clean out and came across these beauties again. I've since been wearing them, so I thought I would share a review.

As I purchased this from a makeup show, I was actually able to customise the kit and add in colours that I wanted; rather than a preselected set of shades. They were then displayed in this beautiful box as a lovely keepsake.

Bloggers United Au Perth Event Goody Bag Haul

Bloggers United AU Perth Event Goody Bag Haul - Sweetaholic Beauty

Two weekends ago, I made the trip over to Perth for the Bloggers United Au Perth Event. I wrote up a recap of the day which you can read here, but I thought I would share the pretty impressive goody bag haul each blogger received. Fair warning - this will be a picture heavy post.

All the goody bags I had to bring home. Yup, all of this was crammed into my suitcase for the trip home. (I actually almost hit the weight limit - oops!)

Bloggers United Perth Event Recap

Bloggers United AU Perth Event Recap - Sweetaholic Beauty

If you follow me via social media, then you'll know that I spent last weekend in Perth for our Bloggers United AU event. As one of the founders of Bloggers United AU, I was incredibly excited to be able to make it over for the event.

I spent four hours on a red eye flight, and finally made it to my destination; Sophie's house. Sophie from Born to Buy was good enough to put me up for my trip over. Her family was so generous and it was so nice to meet her in real life after being online friends for so long.

Bloggers United AU Perth Event Recap - Sweetaholic Beauty

This was my first ever trip to Perth, so I was pretty excited to meet everyone; especially our lovely Perth representatives Sophie from Born to Buy, Angie from Peplum and Prosecco and Sam from That Little Beauty Blog. All three lovely ladies worked their butts off to bring our beautiful vision to life!

My Current Top 3 Fragrances

My Current Top 3 Fragrances - Sweetaholic Beauty

I've been feeling a little bit of writers block lately; a side effect of too much work and not enough relaxation time at home, I suspect. When brainstorming ideas for the blog this month, I really couldn't think of too much at all, so I decided to inspire myself with some pretty photography. I ended up picking up a few of my go-to fragrances right now, and decided that I might share a little impromptu review of them.

I've been rotating three fragrances at the moment. All three of them are all in pretty pink bottles, and look oh so beautiful together.

Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar

Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

A little while ago, I picked up the new Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar from the chemist. I usually like to use body washes, as I find them a lot easier to use in general. I have been experiencing a few breakouts, particularly on my back, so I was on the lookout for something that might help with that.

Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

The Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar promises a deep clean, and is supposed to gently exfoliate for cleaner pores. Along with natural charcoal, it also contains jojoba and peppermint to give you a tingly smooth feeling.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm

Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

Come winter, my lips have a mind of their own. Chapped and painful, not a lot seems to help keep them under control. Whilst I usually take good care of my lips, when it gets too cold nothing really helps keep the dry patches and lip splits that plague me during the winter months at bay.

I had been researching and finally come across the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. The internet is crawling with positive reviews for this baby, so I decided to pick it up.

The packaging probably isn't for everyone; but I don't mind it whatsoever. Packed into a little glass tub, you do need to stick your finger into the product to actually use it.

Relax with Lush Cosmetics

Relax with Lush - Sweetaholic Beauty

This year has been a super stressful one. I honestly can't wait for it to be over. I've been trying so many different ways to relax and keep myself calm until everything passes; so I wanted to share some of my all time favourite products from Lush Cosmetics to really help you relax.

Relax with Lush - Sweetaholic Beauty

Lush Cosmetics has been one of my favourite brands for years now. It started out with the bath bombs, but has evolved into a love for almost every single one of their products. A lot of my skincare and body routine revolves around Lush Cosmetics.

Activeskin Mini Haul*

Activeskin Mini Haul Clinique 3 Step System - Sweetaholic Beauty

Earlier last month, I was contacted by online store Activeskin.com.au to ask if I wanted to review some of their products. I had actually never heard of them before, so I popped online and saw that they actually stocked a fair few brands, including Clinique.

I'm a pretty big fan of Clinique skincare, so I opted to grab some minis to try out.

I ended up with three deluxe sample size products from the 3 Step System; the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 and the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+.

L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation

L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation Review & Swatches - Sweetaholic Beauty

These past few weeks, all I've been seeing on my social media is the gorgeous looking L'Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation. I was super skeptical to grab this, as I had heard so many mixed reviews, but mostly because this retails at around $30 and wasn't really in my budget. When I swatched in-store however, I decided it had to be mine.

I grabbed the lightest possible colour; 11 Vanilla. I had already heard from my pale-skinned gals that it might be too dark, but I decided to give it a go anyway. It looked okay on my hand (not a reliable verdict, I know) so I decided, why not? I figure I needed to buy it to review it... for you guys.

Happy Feet: Keep Your Feet Happy with Scholl*

Happy Feet: Keep Your Feet Happy with Scholl Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

Feet can be kind of icky sometimes. They can get dry, and cracked, and downright gross. I try to take care of my feet, but it can be hard to keep up with them. Feet are often the last of our concerns and to put in that little extra effort in the morning or before bed can sometimes seem pointless - especially in winter when our feet are going to be covered all day anyway. Come summer though, we're regretting those decisions.

This winter I've been trialling a few products from Scholl to keep my feet extra happy this winter - and even happier come summer.

Happy Feet: Keep Your Feet Happy with Scholl Review - Sweetaholic Beauty

I have three products I've been trying out - the Velvet Smooth Express Pedi, the Velvet Smooth Essential Moisture Cream, and the Heel Balm Gold. Now, I'm not going to show you before and after pictures. I feel like that will turn off my entire list of readers, and possibly attract an unwanted crowd. So instead you're just going to have to take my word on these reviews.
