Five Must-Have Berry Shades

Five Must-Have Berry Shades - Sweetaholic Beauty

One of my New Years Resolutions was to begin wearing more of my lipsticks. I always stick to the same shades and I rarely step out of my comfort zone. So whilst I was shopping my stash, I decided to share some of my favourite berry shades that I plan on wearing more in 2016.

Who said summer had to be all pinks and nudes? Berry shades look stunning on most skin-tones and suit practically everyone. They really give your look a real pop; but can be a tad intimidating to wear. These five shades are my go-to berry shades. Easy to wear, easy to apply and not too out there.

NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Spice Cake, Rimmel London Apocalips Matte in Meteoric Matte*, Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick in Berry Much, Face of Australia Glossy Lip Crayon in Berry Brulee, Rimmel London Provocalips in Kiss Fatal*

All of the lip products are easy to buy in Australia and are relatively inexpensive. I decided on a range of different berries to suit everyone and every occasion. I honestly can't pick a favourite out of the five.

Some of these shades may not be true "berry" shades, but I consider them berry so oh well. I love the finish of Spice Cake as it remains so glossy and bright, yet isn't sticky whatsoever. I found the most pigmented and long lasting was Berry Much. The easiest to apply as it was on the sheerer side was Berry Brulee.

I fail at lip swatches - sorry about that. My favourite to wear on an every day basis would be either Spice Cake or Berry Much. But all the colours in general are beautiful and must-haves in my opinion.

Have you tried any of the above shades? If so, what are your favourites? Do you have any other favourite berry shades - drugstore or high end?
