This past weekend, I took a few days off and travelled to Brisbane with my mum. We had a lot of fun, but when packing, I realised how many lipsticks I was keeping in my handbag. I usually keep my handbag lipstick stash pretty tidy, but recently I've let it slide a little and my small collection is growing. So time to tidy it out - I thought I would share the lipsticks I've been loving lately.
As you can probably tell, I've really been drawn to nudes and neutral shades. I've been trying to branch out and wear more daring shades however, which is how the Covergirl shade has sneaked its way into my rotation.

All shades aside from Sweet Tangerine are neutral, as you can already see. I've probably been wearing Naughty Nude the most as it's the easiest to wear. Clingpeach I usually reserve for when I want to look extra gorgeous, while Devotion actually looks more of a brick red shade on me.

I think Devotion looks very brown on my swatch, but as I said above, I feel like the shade is more of a brick red on my own lips. This particular shade goes on very sheer and is super buildable, which is why it's such an easy shade to wear. Naughty Nude is super easy and super fun to wear. It's such a pretty shade and perfect for an every day look. Clingpeach is my perfect nude - I'll never stop loving it. I know this is a repurchase for me, forever and aways. Sweet Tangerine is a newer addition but I have been trying to wear it more often. It's not as easy to apply as I do need to use a mirror to get it right, but it looks so pretty on my lips that I'm really enjoying it.

Whilst I may only have four lipsticks in my handbag, it's still more than usual - oops. I've been loving all four shades though, and so I couldn't help sharing. I'm hoping to add darker shades to my rotation now that the weather is getting cooler - so I might share an updated favourites in the next few months.

I carry SO many lip products in my bag (I'm blaming them on why it's so heavy)! Your shades are gorgeous though, wish I could pull off Sweet Tangerine :)

I usually only place the lipstick I am wearing that day in my handbag, although I noticed that I had about six in there the other day!! Woops!! I have had my eye on the Rimmel The Only One lipsticks for a while, but never seen that same shade, it is perfection! I love it!

I think I have three at the moment; Colourpop liquid to matte in Clueless, Kat Von D in Lolita and probably a MAC or Rimmel floating around in there too!

I'm not quite sure how many lippies I have in my bag atm. Maybe 3... I hope, that sounds reasonable lol. I think I have one each of the new L'oreal and Maybelline ones and maybe a Shanghai Suzy one, all kind of in the pinky rose colour range lol.

I'm pretty good Jasmine - I only ever have 2 lippies in my bag at any one time, whatever I'm wearing, and a spare. My benchtop is another situation entirely - I can barely move for lipsticks lol! Have fallen head over heels in love with Clingpeach, thanks treasure xxx
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying wearing Rimmel's Naughty Nude too recently. I cleaed out my handbag on the weekend so I can confidently say it holds one lipstick and one lipgloss currently but this will probably increase next week - lol!
