Priceline Skincare Bag 2016

Priceline Skincare Bag 2016 - Sweetaholic Beauty

It's June yet again, which means it's time for us to all head down to the shops to pick up the Priceline Skincare Bag. The skincare bags are usually my favourites from the range; as they usually contain the most products. This year I felt the bag was fairly good value, but I'm still not sure if I would rank this as being better than last years bag. (You can read my reviews on the bags from 2015, 2014 and 2013.)

This year, the required amount to spend on eligible skincare was $69, which was the same as last year. Sadly the overall value of the bag has decreased a little, but nothing I feel the need to complain about.

The bag was much cuter this year. The quality of the bag itself is rather good, and the design is a bit closer to my own style. There was also an internal black cosmetic bag, which will actually come in handy for travelling. We also got a bonus mini coin purse with the bag.

All the products we received in the bag. I almost couldn't fit it all in the photo.

We received cult brand Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, which I am rather keen to try. There was also the Olay Foaming Cleanser, which I have never heard of before, but I will give anything a go. Only one scrub was included in this bag, which was the Biore Blemish Clearing Scrub - which works well for me as I have run out of facial scrub just recently.

For makeup removal, we got a deluxe sample of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I am currently using the full sized version of this at the moment, so I'm happy to have a travel version of this. For my eyes, I've got the L'Oreal Gentle Eyes and Lips Makeup Remover to try out. I haven't tried this one so I'm excited to see how it goes.

We were spoilt for choice with makeup removing wipes. Included was the Swisspers Rosehip Cleansing Wipes; which we actually received last year. We also got the Cetaphil Cleansing Wipes, another brand I have actually tried before. A new product for me is the Essano Rosehip Facial Wipes - a product I really do want to try.

There was also a Bondi Sands Self Tanning Mitt, which was another product we received last year. I don't tan usually so I'll probably pass this on to my sister. Another face product was the Model Co Instant Hydro-Glow Facial Mask. I've only tried cosmetics from this brand and I wasn't impressed, but I've heard good things about their skincare range.

I'm interested in trying out the Sukin Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser. I'm still in the process of using a few other moisturisers, but this looks like a nice one. We also got a deluxe sample of the Dr Lewinn's Eternal Youth Day & Night Cream, which I will probably use as a night cream as it seems rather moisturising.

There were a few serums in the bag this year. First, we had the Alpha Keri Body Slimfit Serum, which is described as a heat-activated slimming and firming serum. I'm guessing this could be used on trouble areas of the body such as my booty - I'll be interested in trying this out. My first ever Goodness product; I got the Chia Seed Oil. I can't wait to start using this to see if it helps my skin. We also received the Antipodes Hosanna Skin-Plumping Serum. We got an Antipodes serum last year, but a different variation.

I'll most likely be passing on the Thursday Plantation Nurture Oil as it works wonders for stretch marks. (She has just given birth to my first nephew, so she will probably want to take advantage of this product!) We also got the Neutrogena Cool Dry Sport Sunscreen Spray, which is always appreciated. The cult product from La Roche-Posay was also in the bag - and who doesn't love a good Thermal Spring Water.

For my lips, I got the Burt's Bees Moisturising Lip Balm in Acai Berry. I have a few of these lip balms in other flavours and love them, so I'll be using this for sure. There was also the Nivea Essential Care lip balm, which is always a great addition to my handbag in winter.

There was also a few deluxe and sachet samples included. There was a sample of my all-time favourite moisturiser Egyptian Magic Cream. There was a deluxe sample of the Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off facial mask, a mini set of the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads (my favourite) and a nifty little set from Manuka Doctor including a serum, wrinkle filler and face mask.

Surprisingly there was only one little coupon in this year's bag, which is $3 off the Biore skincare range. I'm not complaining though as I always forget to use these coupons anyway.

To actually qualify this bag, I picked up a few basics that I was in need of. I grabbed the Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub - due to the fact that I needed a scrub and didn't realise the bag included one, oops. I also got myself a new bottle of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for combination to oily skin, which is a newer range I haven't tried yet. I also stocked up on a full sized tub of Nip + Fab Glycolic Daily Cleansing Pads, and I treated myself to a Nip + Fab Dragon's Blood Fix Plumping Mask. Altogether this came to about $70 which brought me over the amount required, but not by too much.

I'm pretty pleased with this year's bag, and I feel like it contained a lot of good products. There were a few brands missing that usually take part, but each year tends to change a little bit anyway so I'm not too fussed. I think that if you're needing to stock up on some skincare, then it's well worth your while in heading down to a store and picking this up.

Have you purchased the Priceline Skincare Bag? If so, what did you think? Do you think it's worth the money? Is there anything, in particular, you'd like to see reviewed?
